A politically incorrect pamphlet hitting on all the unspeakable stuff: Politics. Economics. Fiscal Policy. Foreign Policy. Moral Issues. Culture. Investments. Religion. Humor. Life.

Keith, These blogs that you have created are way more than the average blog. I am not sure what they are. You contribute information to us that no one else provides. I can not stop reading it. It is really my main source of "news". Thank you.
The information angle is right on (the money that is). Before HP, I thought increasing home prices were good thing. Before HP, Gold was just another pretty metal. Before HP, bank stocks were not short candidates.
I learned so much reading HP and discussing the ideas with non-readers -- made me look like a friggin genius. Now I have to work at it to not appear smug.
Theories, discussion, and an excellent sense of humor make your blogs rock. HP had the added bonus of a bunch of paid shills begging to have their outrageous predictions and claims discredited. If you can keep that alive somehow, a good time will be had by all.
"We are here today to repeal Glass-Steagall because we have learned that government is not the answer. We have learned that freedom and competition are the answers. We have learned that we promote economic growth and we promote stability by having competition and freedom. I am proud to be here because this is an important bill; it is a deregulatory bill. I believe that's the wave of the future, and I am awfully proud to have been a part of making it a reality."
I sure hope so but I think $60 - $100 oil isn't high enough to spur that on in a major way. It will take massive government intervention to pull it off and that is exactly what the government should do. that is where government can make a difference.
Keith, HPers was great. AS for this one, I'd go for "Stashers," a corruption of "Sootashers." I think it's self-explanatory as it re-enforces your old motto of "Cash is King!"
Actually it's not computer generated. It's from a surf documentary called "Riding Giants" (Or similar) Ithought it was animation when I firs saw the vid a couple of years ago, but I dug around a bit and found the movie.
You should watch it, it's an entertaining documentary.
I like these wordless posts, this one and the Rick Astley.
I'm not sure if this is your intention, but I interpret them as a metaphor.
This whole society is a thrill-seeking moron who thought it would be fun to mess with nature. We thought this credit bubble was a blast and we rode the wave of debt all the way down.
But mother nature and the natural laws of economics overwhelm our frail, insignificant human endeavours - we are all now in the spin cycle and will be lucky not to drown.
wind power is nice, but wave power keeps getting omitted. The power density numberslook good.
As the conventional sources of energy are dwindling, scientists are continuously looking for alternative sources of energy. We are frequently reading about generation of alternative and clean energy from unconventional sources. Portugal built Agucadoura, the world's first wave farm off its coast. This wave farm has three Wave Energy Converters which are producing a total of 2.25MW. 1 Comment

You need to post a study on the type and amount of land required for solar and wind energy.
If I recall you need so much land that it is not really feasible for major metropolitan areas.

Wonderful metaphor; we got dragged in to something thinking we would shred, but it turned out to be so powerful all we could do was hang on.
And GO STRAIGHT after it collapsed.

My favorite video.
So even if ride the wave, we could still come crashing into us.
