Sen. Jim Inhofe says enough is enough, will introduce legislation to block Paulson's rape of America, accuses him of giving the money to his buddies

Inhofe tells his colleagues that he will block Paulson's access to the second $350 billion pot of gold.

Fine.

But how about an investigation into what happened with the original $350 billion. Who got sweetheart, no-bid deals? And what was their personal relationship to Paulson?

Folks, we got robbed. And we're still getting robbed. And the House and the Senate went along with it.

I don't know if Paulson will ever be arrested, since it appears what he's done is legal, unless he took personal under-the-table bribes, but man, this smells like a big crock. We gave Hank Paulson, the Goldman Sachs CEO, a $700 billion blank check. He told us he was going to do one thing with it, and then he did another. And there was no Congressional oversight. No check and balance.

Damn, these grifters are good.

Here's Inhofe, and his letter to the Senate. It's a start.

"It is just outrageous that the American people don't know that Congress doesn't know how much money he (Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson) has given away to anyone,'' the Oklahoma Republican told the Tulsa World.

"It could be to his friends. It could be to anybody else. We don't know. There is no way of knowing.''

The day there is no bread in the store or gas at the pump is the Day of Blood.

These people will be flying out of America the way the Bin Laden's flew out on 9/11.

After that day, it should be taboo for a man to act like a boy (sports, Limbaugh etc.)

Wake me up when someone goes to jail or gets fired.

There were no resignations after 911 or arrests (as there should have been).

There will be no resignations or arrests now.

Really keith...the system is broken.

It really is.

The $700B was a bailout of the Fed. All the other B.S. was just a cover story concocted by Paulson and Bernanke to hide the awful truth.

Now go play.

DOPES!

Does anybody question why no requirements were made on the Firms that got direct capital injections from Paulson, you know the ones that than wouldn't loan to anyone after that ? Wasn't the purpose of the Blank Check to get Banks to loan because of a log-jam
in lending in the credits markets?

Paulson and the Feds had been lending short term loans to the failed Banks and Investment firms
for months ,and I think it was getting to the point where a massive default on those loans was going to start happening . This is what you get when you make loans on bad paper .What to do ,what to do ....buy the bad paper ...and here comes the Original Plan from Paulson . After Paulson got the money he moved into just giving the defaulting Banks the money with no requirements .

Original purpose of Bail Out was not achieved (why would Banks lend in a contracting market anyway ).As Rich Santelli on CNBC showed ,"BAIT-SWITCH".

That "Fire in the Movie House Con job", that Paulson/Feds sold to the Public was shocking .

The fact that our Politicians signed that Paulson Bill ,as absurdly as it was written, is solid proof that the Politicians just do what they are told to do . Look at the Kangaroo Courts the Lawmakers hold for public consumption .

Did anyone have any question that Paulson was going to depart from the original Sales Job to get the Money . I saw this from the second it happened and I could of predicted it blow by blow . Paulson has always been a Conflict of Interest party and he should of been barred from receiving any funds for his Industry . He should of stated the problem to the Lawmakers and than they should of conducted a neutral investigation on the causes and solutions .

When you watch Paulson answer questions ,its a exercise in watching a tap dancing con man .

At the very least ,the Lawmakers and the Public should be very concerned that One Man was given such powers to disperse such a huge amount of money ,without over sight ,but that's how the lawmakers drafted that Bill,so the Politicians are in on it . We still have a number of these clowns in Congress and the Senate ,so bye bye American Pie .

"WE" gave Paulson Nothing.

The Senate/Congress did the GIVING.

Just got my land line telephone bill. I burned up $81.00 faxing these crooked liars and thieves to NOT APPROVE THE WONDER BAILOUT.

Fuck 'em. They ALL HAVE TO GO. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM THAT VOTED FOR THE BAILOUT.

Especially, Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer and Local ding-a-ling Mike Honda.

All of them. OUT.

Until the majority of Voters have a real understanding of how Politics
work today ,and how so much of what comes down depends on the Lobbyist ,nothing will change .

I think people in general feel that something is wrong and somebody is lying to them ,but they don't actually perceive where the corruption lies and how to get rid of it .

What the politicians risk is a revolt of the people when they just cater to special interest groups without regard to the health of the Whole of America .

Keith,
King Paulson does NOT need you or Jim or anyone else looking into his acitivities, especially with the TARP allocations. He is acting in the best interest of the people. You must take his word for it. It is a none ya.
Trust him and if you don't too bad.

Eventually all this criminal bailout crap will stop. BUT NOT YET. Major players on Wall Street are still in line for their welfare and they fully expect to get it, since they paid good money (so to speak) for all the politicians they now own. Inhofe can be as dramatic as he likes; it can't work.

It's a long way until January 21st. I'm hoping that the bailouts will end by then, and the inevitable deflation will finally strike.

When the bill was enacted a Congressional Oversight Panel was created to review the state of the markets, current regulatory system, and the Treasury Department's management of the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

So what is really the problem?

The trouble is, they are just going to say that the money should have gone to the poor struggling home owners who are going to "lose their homes".

These "poor struggling homeowners" being the guys who put nothing down on two houses.

The crime was in having any bail out at all - not who is getting the money.

When rich people get robbed in a rich neighborhood by the poor, the rich neighbors are concerns and demand action from the authority.

When poor people get robbed in a bad neighborhood by the poor, the poor neighbors just thinks it part of the norm and forget about the authority.

So what happens poor people get robbed by the rich, the poor people expect the authority to help the rich.
