Hey, I committed mortgage fraud, and bought a home for way more than it was worth. And now I'm not going to pay, and I'm not going to leave.
Here's a story where over 50% of mortgages that have gone through a work out are right back in default.
And you know what is really sick? It's the government giving all the incentive in the world to people to NOT PAY THEIR F*CKING MORTGAGE!
If you pay your mortgage, per the agreed upon terms, you get no interest rate reduction, no 'work out'.
And if you STOP PAYING YOUR MORTGAGE, first you get to live rent free, maybe for a long, long time.
Then you have the bank come to you pleading and begging that you pay something, while cutting your rate and terms. And then you have the government crafting all sorts of programs, potentially even cutting the amount you owe.
So would you pay your mortgage?
Idiots. Monkeys. And if this crap keeps up, including forced modifications, nobody will ever do business with the United States again.
We will be a banana republic, where contracts are worthless, laws are unenforced, and trust is no more.

Geez, that might almost make someone think that maybe all the time, effort and money spent on mortgage modifications is a complete waste, huh?
Just like all the time, effort and money spent on these bailouts is a complete waste.
Cut the crap. Let prices of everything fall, hit the reset button.
Question, What happens if you do walk away from your mortgage? I have no money down and plenty of money in the bank, do they (banks, IRS) come after you? Sounds too good to be true.
Here's a little poetry for your reading pleasure. Just to get you in the Holiday Spirit.
Man accused of killing elderly aunt so he'd have a place to stay

12-08) 10:42 PST ANTIOCH -- A homeless man with a history of drunkenness stabbed his 87-year-old aunt to death in her Antioch home, then stayed in the house overnight and cooked himself a meal before police arrived, investigators said today.
Carrel Grayson, 51, forced his way into the home of his aunt, Amberene Grayson, on the 1500 block of G Street about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, kicked her in the head and then stabbed her when she fought back, police said.
The nephew waited for police to arrive and later confessed that he had "committed the murder because he was angry and cold," and wanted a place to stay, said police Lt. Leonard Orman.
Amberene Grayson, who was described by police as sharp and independent, had given her nephew meals in the past.
But police had been called to her home 25 times since October 2007 because of medical issues relating to Carrel Grayson as well as complaints about him, Orman said. He had been arrested during some of the calls on suspicion of burglary and public drunkenness.
On Nov. 30, he was booked on burglary charges after he broke a window to get into his aunt's house, police said.
On Friday night, he knocked at the door and asked his aunt if he could come in. She refused because of his history of drunkenness and troublemaking, police said.
At some point, Carrel Grayson returned to the home with plans to knock his aunt out so he could stay the night, Orman said. He cut a screen door to get in, then rushed his aunt and kicked her in the head repeatedly when she came home, police said.
He tried to strangle her, but she bit his finger, Orman said, so he allegedly grabbed an ice pick from the kitchen and stabbed her numerous times in the back. He stayed at the home throughout the night and into the following evening until police arrived.
Officers went to the home after being called by a friend of Amberene Grayson's who couldn't reach her. When they got there, Carrel Grayson was cooking food in the oven, police said.

PEM said it best: "Cut the crap. Let prices of everything fall, hit the reset button." Amen.
Today i emailed my congresswoman saying exactly the same thing as PEM. Let the free markets determine pricing for gawd sakes already!
But no, now frankferter wants to give even more money to the deadbeats. you just can't make this stuff up.
Perhaps, if you can't beat them join them?
Dopes 2, you need to come out of your shell and open up a little. Tell us how you really feel. Come on, don't be shy...
One party has the right to sell at the peak, the other has the right to foreclose.
If the bank did not cover themselves with a down payment, then they rightfully get left with the tab.
If the bank approved the loan, again, they rightfully get left with the tab.
If the government did away with the 1099 tax penalty, then that just saves people from having to file bankruptsy. So with a foreclosure only, the banks have their customers back in two years instead of seven. Duh.
As for these Refi dits, hey, see the above statements regarding the banks.
Question of the Month...
What if every "homedebter" in America simply stop paying?
RayNLA
Didn't everyone figure this out already? This is the NEW way of life. Frugality will rule while indebtness will absolutely cripple you.
You haven't seen anything yet. Obama is going to blow your minds. If your not scared you should be. Obama won't stop throwing money at this.

No doubt, this guy's a poster boy for the death penalty.
What happens when you walk away.
Per the Revised 2005 Bankrupcy Regs (isn't it coincidental this was pushed through right before the big crash?) you are now more on the hook for the loss to the creditors, all the way to your death. Garnishment is more likely. The liability doesn't disappear after a few years.
I predict chasing the deadbeats will become a big business in this country with bounty hunters like Dog going after your kid's education fund, your retirement fund your boat fund. And this is not like bill collecting, this is executing a judical order. I have a collection judgement against a person that is outstanding from 1993 and I will collect with interest when he sells his house. It never goes away.
On top of that the IRS gets its pound of flesh for the forgiven amount, and they have your SS number!!
This trauma is yet to develop.
On top of that,
Dopes 2 needs to lay off the Red Bull.
Its because the mods sucked the rates sucked and the principal was sometimes increased.. Bad deals most of them.. News Flash the banks dont want those homes back,,,

You might want to figure out the difference between a foreclosure and a bankrupcy.
Barney Frank said that the principal of these loans must be forgiven. I can't believe this! If I knew all along that the government would forgive people's principal, then I would have bought a house I could not afford and not made mortgage payments on it.
It seems like there is no justice in this country anymore. It doesn't pay to be honest and hard working while the Nick's of this country get away with stealing and robbing from those who do the right thing.
Holy Cow,
I just came from the Bisbee Arizona area. WHAT AN ARMPIT! I particularly hate Douglas, Sierra Vista, Tombstone, Etc.
Have you been to Naco! Holy crap, I thought hell was crappy.
Lots of new Obama jobs, protecting the border.
.
Geez, lady cut the caffeine and take a breath!
.
Barney Frank said that the principal of these loans must be forgiven. I can't believe this!
And he played a major role in the housing bubble by advocating easier loans to poor people and claimed those who opposed were bigots. Now he wants the taxpayers to cover for his great ineptitude.
Amazingly, the people of Massachusettes keep re-electing the lisping sack of shit!
THEY WERE RENTERS ALL ALONG NOT HOME OWNERS !!!!
But that's only part of it.
Imagine when not only home-debtors stop paying.
How about all the other struggling companies out there?
Everyone stops paying.
I mean EVERYONE, just quits paying on their debts.
Credit? Meaningless. Everything grinds ot a halt, unless the govt. steps in and loans everyone, even the homeless man, some dough..
Need money? unemployed? just ask the govt for money, since they're the only one loaning/giving it away. Banks aren't, cuz they know it won't get paid back, by anyone.
It's already happening.
