Oh, and while you weren't looking, there is nobody watching over the $700 billion TARP. Why not? Because the GOP is blocking the nomination.

Gotta love these thieves.

Biggest bank robbery in history.

And even though there was to be an "Inspector General" overseeing this little operation, protecting the taxpayer, making sure there wasn't fraud and corruption, well, there's not.

Why?

Because the GOP is
blocking it.

It's as if this whole thing was pre-planned.

Oh, wait, it was.

Damn, these grifters were good.

Please stop with the partisan sh**. Obama will be no better-He has already named the usual suspects to his cabinet-There will be no change-just continuation of the same.

Call it like you see it-but stop with the GOP attacks-They are all the same.

Both parties wrecked America. The Democrats, especially Chris Dodd, helped, but the GOP is more to blame. And if you're foolish enough to back either party, then you indeed are a fool.

Blocking an Inspector General for TARP shows that they intend to do as much damage to America as they can before they're shown the door.

Stuff like this just makes me think more and more that Goldman Sachs or Hank Paulson orchestrated this entire mess.

And a year into this, we still have no congressional investigation, and no Special Prosecutor. And Angelo Mozilo still roams free.

Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) today issued the following statement...

End of brifing. Dodd is a corrupt liar and HP villain. Apparently as a re-tread he has some respect on S&A though.

blogger said...

Dodd has no respect here. However, the statement that the GOP is blocking the Inspector General for TARP is true.

Dodd has bloody hands too, and should be investigated for criminal activity. But the taxpayer is getting f*cked. There is no oversight of TARP. The money is going out, and there is no check and balance.

Man, I can't stand partisan hacks. Grow up people. America is getting f*cked, and all you want to do is play Dem vs. Rep games.

They have you right where they want you.

Checkmate.

One last note on the housing bubble:
Here is the smoking gun on the epic and historic Housing Crash. They knew about it long ago, but caved to the lobbyists.

All I want to know is how I can exploit these developments.

Ok, I'll buy all that. But I have a tendency (given limited research time) of IDing a criminal then shutting his/her information flow off. Shunning him. Seeing him/her as a baffoon and no longer deserving of voice in the public forumn.

In a perfect world everyone would do this, and the criminals would be out of business instantly.

BTW, did any of you dolts invite greg swann over to the new site?

Quite right Keith.

Why didn't Dodd name the senator blocking the nomination? Who is it?

After Mumbai's massacre, it took a little security lapse in India (as compared to the 9/11 debacle) for the Interior Minister and others to hand their resignation. We don't see that sense of duty and honor in the US government anymore.

Actually, given the magnitude of the current financial meltdown, Bush and Cheney should both resign or tried for treason; Dodd, Pelosi and Reid should leave Congress; and the culprits behind this disaster should not be given critical positions in Obama's cabinet, for they are among those who should be investigated, and who should, if found guilty, sent to Gitmo, along with Mozilo, Paulson, Bernanke and the thieves of Wall Street and NAR.

The entire system is upside down. The American people is asleep while its coffers are being emptied by the criminals at the top. The fleecing of America will continue under Obama's upcoming gang of suspects, that is if they ever find anything left to fleece or swindle.

Keith, you say you can't stand partisan hacks, you are the worst. Obama is the most corrupt of all the politicos, even as corrupt as Booooooosh. I don't need to talk about who protected and looted fanni and freddy. Democrats all, their greed and corruption enabled this mess. The repubs get blamed the crooks getb the loot (dems). By the the way who pushed this bailout and all those to come.

Folks, is Nick (the greedy bragger who posts here frequently) right and we are wrong? After the long weekend and chatting with family members, it appears that in my family there are "Nick's". People who lived way beyond their means, bought a house that they could never afford and took out all of the equity and spent it. There is no freaking way the government will go after them. The banks will write down the loans and end up getting a government handout. The government in turn will turn up the printing presses and our savings which we have worked hard for will be work less, a lot less.

All of this makes me wonder, is Nick right? Are we indeed fools for living below our means?

I am so pissed and angry right now. I feel that we are being screwed for making good decisions and people who made poor decisions are being rewarded.

If Bush had stopped it, he would have been hated and derided by pigs of all strips for stopping their gravy train.

Not that that should have stopped him. A wise and good communicator could have done it, and been able to explain to the folks that the train was about to explode. Some small percent would have believed him.

Another example where he simply wouldn't man-up. Went2, you've got a lot to learn about the world my green-horned friend.

But both sides of the Politically corrupt approved of a Tarp oversight
that was after the fact anyway . Just review the original Bill and
you will see that the oversight didn't have any teeth anyway ,especially if you combine it with all the immunity Paulson gets .

Everyone should of known by the Original Tarp Bill that it was just a show and the Politicians were giving King Paulson the power to do anything . Congress/Senate were truly giving a blank check. Now they will fight about the oversight ,just to stall the truth until its to late to change it .Why the American people don't get rid of all these Politicians that are guilty of treason is beyond me.

To think that these traitors don't really care what the American people want to the point that the politicians ignored the 2 to 1 against bail-outs, shows you just how much BS is peddled . Anybody who believed that emergency BS that Paulson threw out is just dumb. The Feds could of just continued injecting liquidity until reasonable solutions by investigations could of been determined .
Both sides wreaked America and both sides are trying to hide it .The American people are so dumb that they didn't vote out all the bastard with a clean sweep . Who controls the media ?
Does anybody think that what is going on today does not exceed the Authority of the Feds and the Treasury ?
Get real with what is happening ,so until the majority understands it ,they will do it ,and by the time the Majority understands it it will be to late .

Yeah, the Dems must love me, seeing as how I'd like to see their leaders investigated and arrested

Being against the incompetent GOP doesn't make you a Dem.

That's rich.

Yes, the blame game is so passé; not at all related to personal responsibility and conservative principles.

They're just incompetent; let's move on and give the Dems a pass as well.

Everybody's family has Nicks. When you are in a poker game and everyone is cheating, but you are playing by the rules, what happens?

Nick is right for now. It remains to be seen what happens in a year. There isn't enough money in the entire world to bail out all of the Nicks, and if he doesn't get bailed out like he is planning what will happen to him?

He comes here and brags because he is looking for some justification for what he has done. Like all of them are starting to do. Have you listened to all of the "get out of debt" commercials lately. We are getting hammered with the message that Debt Is Loserville. Nick hears it and he is nervous, so he comes here and brags how we are more screwed than he is.

Granite counter tops are going to get really cheap and we should be able to pick up an entire house full of distressed wood flooring for pennies on the dollar shortly.

Poor Nick.

still upset by TARP? Tarp is nothing. the fed just announced it is buying 600 billion in mortgage backed securities and 200 billion of securitized consumer credit card debt.

Just think, that 800 billion could have been used to finance another Iraq war!

Nope, you lived within your means in an economy that was above its means. You only lived a little less above you natural means than Nick. You robbed the Chinese, Japanese and a lot of other people living below their means and way way below your means by selling them IOUs.

Just that you went into debt yourself does not mean that your paycheck did not profit from Nick's actions.

Anonymous who only wants to know how to exploit this:

I'm not going to tell you. You are choosing to be part of the problem. Grow up and be part of the solution.

I'm exploiting this monetarily right now. But when I'm in a good position I'm going to use that money do do more than be venal and shallow. Even if I decide to be greedy with it, I'm at least going to be Adam Smith kind of greedy and work on building real wealth and value in my community.

The problem isn't greed per-se. It's myopic and shallow greed with no ethics. It's lack of balance.

If you want free investment advice, turn on the TV. If you want to join the ranks of those who are fed up and not willing to submit to either party's hypocracy, keep reading and keep posting.

Man, the die-hard Republican nutjobs are PISSED today.

Guess that's what happens when your party dies, and your entire world-view is destroyed.

Political parties are for fools.

@Anonymous who said "Obama is the most corrupt of all the politicos"

Evidence, please.
Also, quantify and include comparisons to Ted Stevens and just about anyone from Louisiana....

I'm really tired of all this baseless name calling... "Socialist", etc. Obama isn't even close to a socialist. If you knew any socialists in real life and engaged in any kind of meaningful debate or dialog with one you would know that.

But calling names and "dropping turds" to try to disrupt things is cheap and easy. Save it for freerepublic.

Coward.

Go back and read your crap on HP if you want to debate this Keith. You may want to just post questions and shut up becauase you are making an idiot of yourself.

And for the record Queef. You can label me a Republican nutjob but I DID write in Ron Paul. And I do recognize when my party has its head up it's ass. But jumping onto Obama's stage was the dumbest fucking thing you could ever have done. All you did was vote against everything you have been saying for the last three years. Look at it real close Keith you are smarter than this. He wants to have more of the same we have had.

Yes, please go read HP. Read the posts where I call Reid and Pelosi incompetent and corrupt. Read the posts calling for the arrest of Chris Dodd. Read the posts calling for an attack on Iran, and the forced deportation of all illegals.

Then read the posts calling unions the scourge of the earth.

Shall I go on?

BOTH PARTIES SUCK. BOTH PARTIES ARE CORRUPT. BOTH PARTIES GOT US INTO THIS MESS.

Even though Republicans are worse than Dems, not that it means much anymore. Especially since the GOP is now dead.

I'm looking forward to their replacement.

Ron Paul was the guy we needed. I am mortified that you are backing Obama. He is no better than Bush.

Lost Cause said...

Good God. I remember when Saint Ronnie was president. All of the miracles that he pulled out of his ass. He could do no wrong. But the reality was pretty different. We had a recession with 10% unemployment, a pretty big stock market crash -- and when his vice president took over, another recession and a housing crash. Multiple wars. Basically, the republican party is the party of the rich white male elites who have most of the power in this country.

And then Clinton got elected. And I saw what happened. I saw the economy that produced real money. It was the longest postwar expansion. The only war ended a longer war, with no American deaths. Peace and prosperity. The Democrats are the party of everyone else.

So all of you who are complaining about partisan hacks, there is certainly a difference between a democrat and a republican, and it is quite a difference.
