America. F*ck yeah.

Yes, we dug ourselves one hell of a hole, that make take generations to get out of.

Yes, the banks must fail.

Yes, the criminals still run free.

Yes, home prices must revert to the mean.

Yes, millions will go unemployed.

Yes, trillions and trillions were lost, and trillions and trillions will be spent.

And yes, it's gonna get really, really bad before it gets any better.

But the incompetent scoundrel, and his evil henchmen, are now gone. Ding dong, the witch is dead.

Americans rose up, and just enough of them pulled their heads out of their asses for just long enough to demand change.

We'll know soon if we're truly going to fix this mess, or if it's to be more of the same from our corrupted two-party system.

Obama, you've got 100 days. F*ck the Democrats. F*ck the Republicans. Now that you're in office, show us what you've got. Change everything.

(and for the love of god, arrest Angelo Mozilo already)

America. F*ck yeah.

Keith, Obama is NOT a fiscal conservative. He's a fiscal LIBERAL. Tax, spend; tax, spend; etc. You can't SPEND your way out of a debt hole. That never works, for obvious reasons.

So your support of this Obama character is just another example of people being so scared of the current circumstances, and so accepting of a highly-limited two-party system, that they continue to support the worst possible options willingly.

The Great Depression II will become Obama's legacy, even though Clinton and Bush II both essentially created it. Sorry, but that's what history will record.

I believe Obama will blow a hole in the deficit for the next 4 years, with trillion-plus deficits, as he yes tries to spend our way out of the Bush disaster.

But a trillion here and a trillion there is NOTHING compared to the $54 trillion we are on the hook for going forward. So the key to this whole thing is tackling entitlements, head-on, and making them pay for themselves, vs. the ponzi scheme they are today.

So, if Obama can fix the current permanently unsustainable budget going forward, while running deficits during this depression, then we'll come out significantly better.

IF on the other hand he (and congress) don't permanently fix entitlements, then we are doomed. At that point, give up on America, turn in your passports, and get to safe ground.

We'll know soon enough which way this will go.

Obama has Da Plan:

Treasury soaks up all of the 400% of GDP USD-denominated internal debt via an or-ever-growing stimulus program, sell government bonds on it to stupid foregners, having sold the debt the US defaults on its (now) foreign debt

A US default will both tackle entitlements and make it look plausible someone else, Ming The Implacable(tm), did it on purpose.

Problem solved.

AMERICA IS CORRUPT AND DISHONEST

WHO WOULD WANT TO BE AN AMERICAN TODAY? WHO WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO TRUST AMERICA OR ITS POLITICIANS OR ITS FAT STUPID CITIZENS?

DIE AMERICA, DIE.

Peahippo, Bush (and the GOP) is Not a fiscal conservative. He's a fiscal Douche. Borrow, spend, borrow, spend, etc. You can't BORROW your way out of a debt hole....

The best thing he can do to get the country behind him is to start the perp walks, with Mozilo leading the parade.

That way he sends the message that he is not just another co-conspirator.

Again, when are you people going to figure out that the shady group picks presidents, not you? This engineered "financial crisis" was a transfer of wealth to their coffers, to finance future projects and keep the dangerous middle-class under a leach. First we give you the f-up president that screws everything, then right after we give you the Messiah to make everything tip-top (fake).

Never mind that it's within a two-party system, in which you have no choice. Bouncing from Bushes to Clintons for decades. I'm not sure if you noticed but your hero's administration is pretty much Clinton's administration a while back. No change whatsoever, just sweet speeches and Hollywood stars to endorse it and make it official for the sheeple.

Folks, that's mind control, that's engineered like 9-11 attacks, as engineered as the phony OBL.

And I'm extremely surprised and suspicious of how Keith is selling this crap so much here. How can you be so naive?

Keith, you're using old numbers. Try $100 trillion.

"So, if Obama can fix the current permanently unsustainable budget going forward, while running deficits during this depression"

How do you fix a spending and debt problem by spending and borrowing more money?

Obama's going to continue bush's policies of bailouts, Iraq, failing to prosecute mortgage and securities fraud, failing to secure the border, and continue to give big, wet, sloppy kisses to the REIC.

If obama doesn't give us the change we need, are you going to turn on him? Or are you going to make excuses for him?

The witch may be dead but the stench they left behind will be lived in for years to come.

I'm thinking it's time for a Nuremburg War Criminal Tribunal.

Middle class America begs to differ with you. We CAN borrow our way to prosperity. Can't tell you how many times we have been lectured by our Gen Y kids that there is "good" debt. You just need to be very good with your "Debt Management" skills. Living within your means is soooo 1980's. MAKE YOUR DEBT WORK FOR YOU!!!

I am surprised that Harvard didn't offer a Masters of Debt Management.

I think what we've lost site of is how much fat can be cut from the present budget without causing austerity measures for a large measure of Americans. This is like one of the contestants on The Biggest Loser being forced to go on a diet to lose 60 pounds - that is a lot of weight to lose for the average person but a horse of a different color for the porko's who go on that show - it is just a fraction of what weight they should lose. Follow my drift there? The Federal budget has so much bullsh*t packed into it that a lot of it could go bye-bye tomorrow and most Americans would not even know it had been trimmed. The cumulative effect of going through the present budget with a scapel would definitely be a blow to some of the appointed hacks who depend upon a jackass program for a glorified paycheck but for many Americans those jackass programs have no bearing upon their everyday lives. Trim enough of them, pretty soon you are looking a pretty big pile of savings. Again, the present Federal budget is like a big, bloated, fat ass, out of shape, marshmellow soft, pussified, fat dude or dudette who could stand to lose half their body weight to become lean and mean again. Cutting 30% still would not get it into "Rocky" condition but it would make a big difference in annual outflows. This is a when and not if statement - military spending, boys the days of getting a blank check from Congress in the name of "terror fighting" is all but over - better read the writing on the wall and get ready.
