"It's been about a year since people thought they had a president"

"It's been about a year since people thought they had a president, if you will. ... It's been some time since the American people heard, 'We've got an economic problem, but, baby, we are getting through it. We are going to get past this thing. We are going to rise again'"

OMG Peggy effing Noonan.

This woman was Reagan's speech writer and later was so far up W's arse it was hard to tell where she ended and he begun.

Now she's saying that we feel like we didn't have a President for the last year???? C'mon Peggy. It's too friggin late tonight, otherwise I'd be searching for the endless articles in which she was basically inserting her tongue dubya's ear.

This quote means nothing other than she is trying to salvage her career which is forever tarnished in my mind and the minds of every other Bush hater who's been paying attention to his press for the last 8 years.

Keith, you are seriously killing me here with this quote. I am going to lose about an hour of sleep now that I read it. Peggy comes off as class A hypocrite and master of double talk by even THINKING these words, let alone saying them.

She should be publicly eating crow and denouncing her former crush and messiah, Captain George W "Snow blowing drunk" Buschco.

I need to take a shower now.

Remember, Noonan threw Palin under the bus earlier this year too.

I think she has a guilt conscience about what her party did to America.

Noonan is another gushing, fawning, moronic Washington pundit that I simply can not stand.

Her voice gives me the heeby jeebies too.

I hate her.

We're at the very start of a Great Depression II. However, the mainstream media does nothing but call the bottom each week, just to keep you buying into that FRAUD called "Western Civilization".

Obama is inheriting the Bush Depression. He can't fix it, since it's impossible to fix a Great Depression. It can only be endured until complete liquidation of the bad debt occurs. And the longer the government tries to bail it all out, the longer that a complete liquidation takes to occur. So, this Great Depression II will probably take a good, half-generation to recover. That's 1/2 of 1/4-to-1/3 of a century, hence 1/2 of 25-to-33 years, hence 12 to 17 years. Rationally, we shouldn't expect a recovery to be complete until the year 2020 ... and the longer any President and the Congress try to bail it all out, the longer it will take, so 2020 is the very LEAST of the SANE estimates.

So in general terms, your house won't increase in value again until 2020. Sorry, but that's the real, social cost of running up the largest asset-speculation bubble in Human history.

All the happy talk in the world will not save this country.

Only hard work, a return to the rule of law, upholding the constitution, and prosecution of the criminal activity that has occured will begin to pave the way for any recovery.

It's already too late. The Obama Era's best day will be Jan 20th. It's all going down from there.

There is ZERO barack can do to turn this around.

One more time class...

The human species is in OVERSHOOT. A dieoff MUST follow.

Kissinger is spending quite a bit of time in Russia and China these days.

They are being told that each nation will deal with the die off independent from the rest of the world...they are synchronizing the crash...they are being told NOT to hit the nuc button.

Enjoy the die off!

It must be tough being an aging hag that has to sneak up on a mirror like clueless Noonan.

What's the old saying about a whore?

We know what you are we are just establishing the price...

Deskankify DC. Start with Noonan.

There's one thing today that's shocked me, if it holds up which it looks like it will

Bush didn't pardon anyone.

Oh, man, Cheney (and Libby, and Gonzales, and Rummy, and all those who authorized crimes) are NOT happy today.

But like I said, it doesn't make sense. Unless Obama promised Bush he'd stop any investigation, or maybe Obama will issue the pardons instead?

Any thoughts on this one?

Got to agree with that.

Husein Obama made a speech about "Just words, just speeches.."

60+ million people voted for a untried, No executive experience candidate with good oratory skills.

With no real plan,

Just words, just speeches!

remember, 62million people voted for Husein O. (including all the ACORN fraud)

57 million didn't!

It's early yet. Piece of shit Bushco still has a couple more hours to be the low-rent failed scumbag he knows he is and sign one last felonious illegal asssault against the country that gave him and his rotten family everything they have.

Don't count the dunce from crawford out until you see the big helicopter going off into the sunset. With any luck the rotor will fall off...

*Just watching the live MSNBC feed. The crowd was chanting loudly 'No More Bush' for just a fleeting second the real audio came on before going to commercial. It was great to hear. I hope the entire Bush Family was watching. May they all burn in hell.

GEORGE W. BUSHCO

THE MOST HATED MAN IN THE WORLD

Agreed. Noonan is a vile skank. She's had her day in D.C.

Get her the hell out.

Dido on David Gergen.
Who the hell do these people think they are?

God's gift to America?
LEAVE D.C. ALREADY!
LEAVE GOVT ALREADY!
LEAVE AMERICA ALREADY!

Bush didn't pardon them because he doesn't give a shit.

He gave up on the whole President job months ago.

You think he actually gives a shit about Cheney and co?

9/11 had a simple solution, go and bnlow shit up. This economic stuff stumped him and he realised he could just wait it out and it'd be someone elses problem, and then he actually did exactly that. Autopilot for months now...

Douche Andrdea Mitchell has to go next. What a heredon.

How about a national write-in capaign to rid the airwaves of Mrs. Alan Greedspan?

De Skank DC. There's your mantra.

BTW: Lovely hairdo Dianne. Reminds me of 1948... And that Bela Lugosi Pelosi, what ababe...

It's too early to tell. He's too much of a coward to issue his pardon press release before he feels safe in his new hole in Texas. You may hear about it within the week.
Another scenario is that if he pardons Cheney and all the criminals who worked under him, and he doesn't get a pardon from Obama, they may turn against him and become precious witnesses if he's ever prosecuted for treason, war crimes, lying under oath...

The only way we'll get the whole story is if Congress issues immunity to everyone and then compel testimony in hearings. We also might wait until the tell-all books start hitting the shelves of your local book dealer.

You can't pardon people who aren't convicted of crimes...I don't believe Cheney has been convicted of anything. And Obama has a sense of looking forward rather than looking back.
