Ron Paul on Bill Maher. Liquidate the banks. Pull the troops. Legalize pot.

Too bad Ron Paul didn't have the courage to mount a third-party presidential bid.

Too bad he doesn't do something DRAMATIC.

Too bad he won't start a REAL revolution.

Keith, you know I love ya, but you are WRONG about Ron Paul. He didn't run as an Independent because, like many of us, he knows the system is rigged so third parties can't win. And as for a REAL revolution? He DID start a revolution. The only problem is, the only thing that can help us now is either an armed (yes, VIOLENT) revolution or divine intervention--neither of which is likely to happen. Yes, folks, we're all f#cked.

One other thing, Keith. You DID call it right when you said Ron Paul didn't stand a chance because AMERICANS ARE TOO STUPID!

Bill asked a question then pulled back big time. He asked Ron Paul why advocate the free market because it is what it got us in this mess? Ron Paul answered and then Bill changes the question saying, forget that let's focus on how to get out of where we are today.

He should have gone into more details with Dr. Paul's answer but instead the alarm bells must be going off in his head ('Retreat, retreat!')

Pretty lame. I usually like Bill M.

Did RP just say that the Fed causes the business cycle? 1873 anyone?

Ron Paul is like any of the contrarian bloggers. He just happened to be a Senator. He says what any responsible politician in Washington should say and do. We heard similar things from Obama when he was just a Senator hoping for the White House seat.

Unfortunately, there's something about that Awful Office. The minute they step in there, people seem to change their minds and do the opposite of what they had promised.

Obama promised change, yet the only change we saw is him sitting in that Awful Office without a tie around his neck!! That's about it! everything else is still a continuation of the Bush Admin policies that led to the current catastrophe. Even Gitmo! The Obama Pentagon is now saying that Gitmo is OK!! While the real criminals who have fleeced America and who are still terrorising Americans day after day are running free.

Americans needs a leader who can free them from slavery and the enslaving practices of the FED, the REIC, and the corporate media, among others.

The last of the founding fathers.

Thanks Ron!

My question is which will come first:

World War III
or
American Revolution II

I wish Bill hadn't asked that stupid pot question. He should have asked whether Ron thought Americans were cowards...because Bill knows about cowards vs bravery. What's Bill doing back on TV?

We absolutely should legalize pot. But I would tax the hell out of it and use the revenue to fund addiction treatment centers. I think that's fair.

But that would undermine organized crime so they will not allow this to happen.

All you people who thought Tony Soprano was cool, or Vito and Michael Corleone, Goodfellas, Casino, Bugsy - think of how great advertising these shows were for organized crime. Makes you think it's not so bad, huh? They're real people just like us, right?

Wrong. Organized criminals are scum of the f&cking earth, blood-sucking parasites. There are no noble characters like Vito Corleone in real life mafia.

Organized crime is why roads are so bad and so expensive to repair - don't think that doesn't have a real negative impact on the economy when it takes trucks that much longer to deliver food to grocery stores.

Organized crime is why pot is still illegal despite its relatively benign effects and potential boon as a tax revenue stream.

Seems like there is a lot of Ron Paul lust here. I view him as just another tool of the Libertarian New World Order (like George W. Bush).

Bill M. has always been very respectful of RP. He seems to be clueless about RP's school of economics, judging by the Q & A.
Typical.

Ron Paul is just a little whining P*SSY. Like a yapping little poodle.

What, are you gonna follow that pansy-ass onto the battlefield?

Hmm.. since when is George W. Bush a Libertarian?

Also, notice how the left wing agenda, even that which is not unfriendly to Dr. Paul, continues to assault the truth here. The current wisdom is that Republicans are champions of capitalism and capitalism has failed us. Socialism is, therefore, inevitable because "we must DO something".

Wise Renter is correct. The revolution has begun. It just isn't obvious to the majority, yet. When the result of all this spending results in the uncontrollable "cruelest tax" inflation that Ron Paul predicts, the public will view these youtube videos as highly prophetic and Obama will be as "popular as peanut butter". But entitlements made possible only by this spending will make anything but a true revolution irrelevant.

It's time to admit you were wrong on Obama. It's time to admit you should have done the right thing and wrote Ron Pauls name in. It's time to stop calling this guy out considering YOU are not leading any revolution either.

You can't call someone out and expect them to do something that you are not willing to do yourself. That's just lame-o.

It's ok though, I'm begining to think we will survive these next four years actually. Then you will have a chance at a do-over and next time you can get it right.
