This is why I supported Obama.

This is what leadership combined with realism looks like. With a dash of rage.

And you haters out there, and those that disagree with Obama, should think about giving the guy a chance.

His predecessor, and the corrupt Democrat and Republican monkeys in Congress, simply f*cked us. F*cked us bad. He's trying to do something about it. Even though the same corrupt monkeys in Congress are in the way.

I hope Obama hurries up with his stimulus package. We need more confidence in the economy. Just pour some cash into the hole... and hope...

I am terribly depressed.. I'll need some Prozac today... :(

Rage? LOL, more like cluelessness. As if any economy has ever spent and borrowed itself into prosperity.

No it is the same old thing, dumping money will not turn things around. You want to fix the country then you have to fix the foundation. Kill NAFTA, work to provide a reason for companies to bring there manafacturing to the US. Start protecting US jobs and us citizens, secure the borders and kick out illegals. The whole consumer based economy will not work, you gave to make something. Anyone can just consume.

So, he is going to rely on the best economists who did not see any of this coming?

We choose hope over fear, but choose fear when we need to pass a stimulus bill?

And, finally, the reason that we will begin seeing a push to more green energy is not to save the planet, but to line the pockets of the investment banks who have already bought up all the green tech!

Supporting Obama the Magnificent may be what worshipers feel is necessary at this time, but when you realize that Obama never did anything of consequence before he was elected you are in for the letdown when he continues on the same tact.

Marxism didn't work before and it won't work now.

The stimulus package will burden taxpayers for generations and will not generate jobs or lower housing prices.

Economists believe it will cost the taxpayer 175K for every 50K job that is created.

If you think Obama is still the Savior, then you are an idiot.

You scream bloody murder about Bush, but it was Obama Schumer, Dodd, Frank and the flying monkey Democrats who profited by forcing banks into lending money to those who would never payback the loans, sparking the current debacle.

Then you voted them back into power.

Suckers.

Obama is taking heat now, lets see if he doesn’t go off the deep end.

Quit crying about supporting his Socialist programs and contact your Congressman today to head off this boondoggle of ineptness.

Keith, baby, you were right about Ron Paul. Obama is a Mulatto Messiah. In America, diversity has placed those on top who do not belong. Just like money and power put people like Bush Jr. on top who do not belong. We do not need Ivy League know it all running the country. We need a guy who had no advantages, money and/or diversity programs, and worked his way up if life. Such a man knows about car bills, house bills, etc. Such a man would know that you can not keep borrowing money to avoid reality. If you ran your household like they run the country, you would not be there long. There is no freedom without economic freedom, and America sells itself into slavery with every dollar it borrows. Bush bothered me with wanting to put Social Security money into Wall Streets hands. Obama bothers me by believing we can borrow out way out of our problems. He should have read "The Comming Generational Storm" to understand the demographic changes. The real problem comes down to facing the truth: America is in massive debt, the largest in the history of the world, larger than any other country, trillions and trillions, its people are maxed out with student loans, car loans, house loans, and now the bill is due on its people. The government will now borrow till its credit limit is maxed out, then the country collapses.

Uhhh, keith, Obama was a part of the corrupt monkey congress. He did nothing to reform it or change it in the few short years he was there. He didn't get any significant pieces of legislation passed.

He's continuing bush economic policies of attempting to borrow and spend ourselves to prosperity. He's continuing the bush bailouts.

AND FOR OBAMA TO ACT LIKE THIS IS NEWS TO HIM. HE ACTS AS IF HE INHERITED THIS PROBLEM. HE ACTS AS THIS IS HIS FIRST JOB IN WASHINGTON. HE HAS BEEN A SENATOR.

Obama was clearly the best choice we had this past election - but that's the problem, he was a *best choice* at not what is really needed in these hard-times.

Unfornately, he's aligned himself with wallstreet cronies, so any stimulus will be of no benefit to main-street (get ready for TARP-2).

In the meantime, nearly 600,000 jobs were shed this past January, with much more to come.

Any "bail-out" will only magnify this problem to levels no one has ever expienced in this lifetime.

There's not enough buttered popcorn in the world to last for this entire show.

Anonymous said...

You're correct Keith that Bush Co. reamed this country the worse then all the other presidents combined, but Obama is now showing his true colors and intends to add fuel to the fire.

I wonder if he's really given a thought about the lives of future generations - most likely not his children - who will be saddled with this debt, the debt brought on by the very people surrounding him.

Anonymous said...

I thought he looks terribly unpresidential. He is angry and argumentative.

That style won't work for very long as a President.

Obama is the snake oil salesman of the day, but he's not a very good one.

Anonymous said...

If feel terribly sorry for the guy. I mean, he would have been a great president, but his timing couldn't have been worse. Let's face it, there's not much Obama CAN do about the current economic situation. And unfortunately it looks like much of what he is doing will only make things worse - but his advisors are mostly to blame for that, not Obama himself.

Oh, and why will the stimulus package not work? Because we don't HAVE the money, we're borrowing it. It's as simple as that. Getting into MORE debt won't solve the problem when debt IS the problem.

Obama doesn't get it.

He should be like FDR who realized that by working with Wall Street he was working against the vast majority of honest, hard-working Americans. Thus, FDR turned on Wall Street. He spoke of driving the moneychangers from the temple (a nice biblical touch). He spoke of welcoming the hatred of Wall Street. He spoke of the Forgotten Man.

Obama has to FDR up.

Obama doesn't have to declare class warfare-- He just needs to recognize that the American upper class elite are already at war against the American middle and lower classes. These elites have been waging unrestricted warfare against the American middle and lower classes these past ten years. The American elites have waged this war by exporting American jobs, and by fighting any impositon of immigration restrictions. This way, American workers have been squeezed on two fronts, that is, by having to compete against foreign workers both inside and outside of the country.

Sadly, the Joseph Goebbels of the American elites--Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity-- have convinced many American workers that there is no class warfare being waged against them. Further, they have American workers convinced that if the workers try to do anything to defend their standard of living that would be the start of class warfare.

Come on Obama. Wake up!

Taco - I see government as there to aid private enterprise. And private enterprise needs infrastructure, provided by the government, in order to be efficient.

The government needs to build roads, bridges, light rail, trains, buses and airports. They need to provide water treatment facilities. They need to make sure people can get to work, and that they can be productive.

That is why we pay taxes, that is why we have government.

Government in this respect has clearly failed the American people these past eight years. Probably much longer than that. America is falling apart, and it is falling behind.

I do not support this bill in its current form. It doesn't do enough for infrastructure, and it doesn't do enough for green energy transformation. It's loaded with pork, and even the tax cuts are not targeted correctly.

But what would you expect from Pelosi, Reid and the Dems? Clusterf*ck is what I expect.

Keith,

What I have seen from this guy so far has been nothing but a joke. He says one thing and does another. So don't be pissed at me since this guy has come out an idiot so far.

Don't be pissed at me if you say one second you like the guy and the next second your saying f*ck him.

Now let's look at this statement of yours Keith:

"I do not support this bill in its current form. It doesn't do enough for infrastructure, and it doesn't do enough for green energy transformation. It's loaded with pork, and even the tax cuts are not targeted correctly"

Keith Obama does support this bill in it's current form. He loves it. This bill in it's current form is what he is pushing for with great passion. So what you are asking me is to give this guy a chance. No! No! No!

Then you say this is the making of Pelosi, Reid, Frand, Dodd. Then say "let's see if
Obama has a big stick." What see if he will stand up to the above four listed. He is one of them. They are the same entity. Your not making sense Keith. Obama has been praising these four as if they have some elitist orgy after work every night.

Let us look at this statement:

"His predecessor, and the corrupt Democrat and Republican monkeys in Congress, simply f*cked us. F*cked us bad. He's trying to do something about it. Even though the same corrupt monkeys in Congress are in the way."

He is his own predecessor Keith. I don't think I need to elaborate.

Now let us look at one more of your statments Keith:

"This is what leadership combined with realism looks like. With a dash of rage."

Seriously Keith. This is real. This is a real joke. This guy is taking current Marxist ideology and driving it home. Socialism and Fascism is real Keith. It is very real in his policies and what he is doing. That is "real" fucking scary to me Keith. So as long as this guy wants to throw the Constitution out the door do not ask me to give him chance.

I think Bushco was blackmailing the Congress & Senate Democrats. It appears they have all been cheating on their taxes or not paying at all. It would explain why Pelosi took impeachment off the table right up front. Bet she and Reid haven't paid taxes in years.

It would also explain why Obama is having a problem staffing his administration. Since they are all tax cheats he has to try and pick from the best of the cheaters.

I think every single member of Congress & Senate should have to publish their tax returns for the last 10 years.

When the day finally comes that the American People get educated (begin to totally understand their plans) on the Illuminati, and the New World Order, and realize all these men/women in DC are on their staff, especially the President, (of their choosing for the timeframe), then all this chattering on here -----reference Obama, et al, and BushCo will be for nought. However, that day may still be a loooooooooong way off. These guys are really good at what they are doing to us, and very disinformational in all phases.

Anonymous said...

Cheney first, then Bush second, were the real terrorists. They must be investigated and tried for what they have done to the American people and to humanity.

In case you forgot, those two criminals made Americans live in terror and fear for seven years, while their friends were busy looting and prowling the country.

The war on "terror" was a big lie. The Iraq war was based on shameless lies. Millions of civilian victims and thousands of innocent Americans lost their lives, while the Bush gang was busy fleecing the country. They got filthily rich on the back of unsuspecting senior citizens, single mothers, your kids and my kids and their kids and their kids’ kids.

We had eight years of empty slogans: "The terrorists won't succeed in changing our way of life," yet Bush changed all aspects of the good old American way of life: Wiretaping; waterboarding; strip searching American travelers before taking DOMESTIC flights, preventing perfectly fine American intellectuals and activists from traveling abroad and foreign free-thinkers from visiting their counterparts in the US, and the list goes on..

Bush's "no child left behind" slogan was fulfilled on the last three weeks of his presidency, after he gave the green light to Israel to bombard and invade Gaza, thus achieving his THREAT/PROMISE and, literally, almost no child was left behind… in Gaza!

If you had to build a pyramid using all the money spent on the illicit Iraq war, the billions wasted there or still unaccounted for, the money taken illegally from US and foreign investors through various Ponzi schemes, while Bush and the Repubs turned the blind eye and the MSM played dead, that pyramid could be seen from the moon!

And yes, I agree! Obama will fail! But he will fail because no human, no matter how genius and how brilliant, can correct the immoral things the Bush-Cheney crime gang did to America and the world.

To all of you schmucks and brain-dead freaks who predict Obama will fail only because you didn't vote for him, I got news for you-- whether you voted the last time around or you stayed in your sh*thole on election day, you are doomed, and you are doomed for real this time.

YES! YOU ARE DAMNED for good, and you, retards, must blame no one, other than the mob that put us and the entire world in this cosmic cataclysm, the same mob headed by no other than the idiot and the co-idiot you had brought upon us twice.

Anonymous said...

I disagree. Both parties voted for the Tarp. Either party would have passed a stimulus bill - John McCain would be working on one as well. Although his would have included new oil refineries and nuclear power plants. John Maynard Keynes was wrong. Spending a trillion dollars we don't have to solve a debt crisis will make matters worse and deepen the depression. "Doing something" isn't always the best course of action. We need to produce - not consume. People can't afford to buy things because they are in debt. Creating more green paper is not the answer. The result will be inflation - "the cruelest tax of all".

I heard that Patrick just ordered a new rug for his office. Apparently the one he had is all worn out from pacing frantically back and fourth over the past 2 weeks. In fact, rumor has it that he is in hiding awaiting all of the free bailout money from future tax payers of America coming his way. You see it appears that Obama’s warning that this country will have irreversible damage and is nearing total collapse if the future tax payer money isn’t stolen from our children and given to him immediately is really a hoax. Billions upon billions ($600 Billion) of this money is actually going to pad states budgets around the country. This is so they do not have to make changes in the way they operate or better said have cuts and sacrifices like the rest of us out here on Main Street must do. You see they all just got pay raises recently and they do not want to end their perks and freebies.

Examples:

Massachusetts state workers would have to (gulp) pay higher deductibles and co-pays for their insurance. Well I hope that doesn’t happen. I mean this is tax payer money after all and we all know that tax payer money is Government money and Government money is well Government money too right? Don’t e concerned that millions upon millions of these future tax payers will not even have health insurance never mind deductibles. Don’t worry that millions upon millions of these future tax payers will not have pensions either. In fact as we keep robbing from our future tax payers to pay Uncle Sam’s bloated pay packages, health coverage and pension plans we are not even sure that these future tax payers will even have social security at this point. I know I know that unless we sign this bill into law immediately we will all suffer a great deal. I don’t know about you, but Washington doesn’t appear to be suffering. Didn’t the Democrats just take a 100K retreat a couple days ago to relax and discuss this thievery? I mean they want to get it right because they don’t want to have to come back fro more.

As we look around the country we can see that welfare recipients in Tennessee (gulp) may have to pay for child care because they will lose their state funded child care programs. Say what? How about the tens of thousands of Tennessee workers unemployed right about now. They don’t get welfare and certainly not free child care. So Tennessee residents who don’t work and collect welfare now will have to stay home and (gulp) watch their own children until they find a job and then pay to have them watched like everybody else. That is so unfair isn’t it?

In Riverside CA some kids have been walking to school for a long time using the roadside to walk on due to no sidewalks being built. If this bailout bill doesn’t pass they will (gulp) have to continue to do so because future tax payers were going to (well they don’t know it yet) build side walks for them to walk on. The nerve of these parents to expect there kids to walk to school on anything but brand new sidewalks paid for by the future tax payers of America.

In fact 46 states will have to shutter some social (free) services now being offered to their states public if this doesn’t pass immediately. Infrastructure jobs are on hold because we cannot afford to do these jobs right now unless we rob the money from future tax payers to pay for them. Heck, they won’t know we robbed them for another 10-20 years and many of us will be long gone or won’t care by then. My favorite is the laying off of (gulp) Government workers will ensue without this future tax payer money. How sad is that? You mean the public sector will realize loss of jobs much like the private sector is doing. They will have to go find employment that doesn’t come with a nice hefty pension like their old public sector jobs did (well only if this bailout passes mind you). They may even have to pay part or even all of their health insurance like the private sector does. H the shame of it all…

These states have massive budget shortfalls due to excessive spending and lack of oversight. They have all of these social plans they have foolishly championed over the years of good times and now they can’t afford to pay for them. Their answer is to get our children and our children’s children to pay for it all. Why should these states have to make cuts, or worse to have to say we can no longer afford to do this due to current economic conditions? I shudder to think how these folks treat their (entitlement) children.

I guess Obama could be right and if we do not have some welfare folks in Tennessee pay for their own day care and we don’t have some state workers in Massachusetts pay for a portion of their own healthcare, and we don’t have kids in Riverside CA stop walking the way they always have to school by building sidewalks for them then our country could have irreversible damage and may never pull out of this mess. I know how much these things impact me personally as well as my family and friends. I mean just yesterday I was telling my wife that if we don’t steal some future tax money from our children to build these sidewalks then I fear we may be homeless in a matter of months. We could not even bring ourselves to discuss state workers paying for a small portion of their own healthcare because we have always had to pay a sizable portion since we entered the private work force many, many years ago. I do feel if these state workers are forced to pay a portion of their healthcare like the rest of society that I may have to sell my car or maybe get a border to help me get by. It would be totally devastating to me and my family after all. Won’t it be for yours too?

I don’t know but after looking at all of the spending of future tax payer money to bailout all of these public employees I just don’t see how I will survive if this isn’t done immediately. I will leave it to you to tell us how you feel however because I could in fact be wrong. Maybe some families will still eek by and be able to feed their families even though the children in Riverside don’t get a sidewalk to walk on? Maybe some families will do alright even though welfare parents will have to pay for their own children’s daycare. Maybe this won't imapct all of our families in such a devastating manner, but hey call me skeptical…

Here are two questions for Obama and Congress, regarding the economic mess we are in, and the bailouts:

1) Given that excessive credit & borrowing is what got us into this mess, how is more borrowing (i.e. deficit spending) going to get us out of it?

2) Bush was criticized for starting a war in Iraq without an exit plany. Why isn’t Congress or the President saying anything about an exit plan?

How do they expect this debt to ever get paid off?

If this stimulus bill passes, eventually we will be a country awash in hyper-inflation, which is a whole lot worse than what our country experienced during the Great Depression. I feel sorry for you. You are so full of hate, it has clouded any sense of reasoning you may have had left in you.

Obama already has the plan for fixing Social Security. For a hint look at the recent moves in Argentina. Convert all (with a few special exemptee's) 401k's to Social Security. Walaa! No more S.S. problem. See, it's not really that hard!

The only thing Obama has stimulated so far is gun sales. He had his chance at change but seems let the EU or Nafta call the shots.

Surounding himself with the goofs who caused the Ponzi Scheme only shows his true color. Even JFK, who he trys to portray himself as, had enough guts to start printing money that wasn't created by the Federal Reserve.

What exactly did he do at Harvard? The guy seems clueless.

I don't think the matter is being 'for' or 'against' Obama, though this is how he cast it this morning.

What it SHOULD be about is certifying that every dollar spent in stimulus has certifiable MULTIPLIER EFFECT.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplier_effect

Of course getting a group of clueless and greedy politicians to agree on such a criteria is probably impossible.

But as Tom Friedman wrote recently, If we spend this trillion dollars on pork, IT WILL BE THE END OF US.

Wow! You have lost it. You are in serious panic mode. Ron Paul is the one that realizes that this money bomb will make things worse.

Keith, do you want this mess to be passed on to the coming generations? This plan is more "buy now pay later". Wake up Keith. The time is "later". It is time to pay. We need to pay this crap off not accumulate more debt.

Nobody in Washington is willing right now to look at the consequences of this bill. In fact as I have abandoned the republican party in the last two years thjey at least get credit in my book for saying look at the long term affects of this bill. Obama and Pelosi are looking at now. All I here from them is now. Now is the problem. Everybody want things now. Everybody want to buy now pay later. But nobody wants later.

Same idea here Keith. For every action there is a reaction. What goes up must come down. What is paid for now with credit needs to be paid later with cash. Do you not get it is "later" and it is now.

This is another fix to defer debt to the future with more debt. It makes no sense Keith.

Like all good kool aid drinkers, you can't see the forest for the trees.

We paid our way as a nation until Reagan became President. Yep. The Great Communicator. Ran up more deficits than ALL the previous Presidents COMBINED!

It was the first Bush who called Reagan's economic plans-voodoo economics. But the Republicans won the arguments and the elections, and the full blown results of those theories played out during the George Bush years.

I respect conservatives. I don't respect corporate terrorists, facists, neocons, racists, sexists, habitual liars, crooks, child abusers and anyone who won't change their mind when confronted with opposing facts.

So for all the people who now want to conveniently forget the destruction sowed by one George W. Bush, I say if you are that blind (and stupid), you are definitely going to get yours.

But what would you do if you were president?

Let the world burn?

600,000 more last month. Millions and millions before. A worldwide economic meltdown. We are truly, once-in-a-lifetime f*cked.

So, what would you do?

Me? I'd drop a 10-year $10 trillion money bomb focused on infrastructure and green energy, and rock the world. And I'd eliminate the social security ponzi scheme, radically alter medicaid/medicare, eliminate the income tax, and be net-net better off for it.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Let's get radical.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplier_effect

Hey, Mr Ponzinomic Genius. The Multiplier Effect works both ways but of course the geniuses don't mention that because it is a lot harder to measure the deletirious effects of stimulus.

Let me explain.

These "stimulus" packages are financed with a mix of the following methods:

(1) Deficit financing,
(2) Quantitative "easing" (monetary inflation),
(3) Direct taxation.

Because we live in a world of finite resources and not in some crazy Keynesian lala land of perpetual motion machines, skittle crapping unicorns and free lunches they respectively divert resources from:

(1) The future - because the debt must be repaid.

(2) and (3) Taxpayers and legitimate business have their capital eroded via direct taxation or debasement of the currency, that is, government sponsored counterfeiting.

What nobody likes to talk about when Bush or Obama (or any other con artist) talk about "creating jobs" and "stimulus packages" is the other side of the equation.

That is, the jobs and legitimate businesses that are destroyed by all of the above methods of financing so called "stimulus". These destroyed jobs are much harder to measure because they are dispersed amongst the entire economy and are dispersed over time because the effects of inflation and debt are delayed.

Therefore, "stimulus" is simply a sham, a shell game and we all need to clearly understand this as clearly as we understand that there is no pot of gold at the end of the f*cking rainbow.

"Stimulus" can only guarantee the further deterioration of the economy.

Capiche??!

Now, the next time you hear Obama say he wants to "create jobs" you can scream "GO F*CK YOURSELF YOU COMMIE BASTARD!!!"

You have no fear of inflation. You are a fool.

I hope you enjopy the band aid fix. Enjoy the next couple years. It is going to be a real bitch after that.

And what is another trillion when there is already a 60 trillion national debt? You will see what it does to the private sector. And you will see what it does to the already broke local, state and federal branches of gov.

For the last thirty years that strategy has worked; but each time the government has done that, they have just made matters worse and prolonged the inevitable.

I would have more respect for Obama if he told everyone the truth: "listen folks, we as a nation can not continue to live beyond our means. We need to work, sacrifice and save money for a better tomorrow". But he doesn't have the guts and he is just another typical politician.

Anonymous said...

Obama has walked into a firestorm he simply can't put out. There's nothing he can do to stop this meltdown. The stimulus won't work...in fact, it will make things worse. It will get us more into debt as a govt. and encourage more people to take out more personal debt...which they can't afford. The govt. is trying to convince Americans that the way to prosperity is through borrowing money, not through producing goods and services that people want. This is totally screwed up. It is this mentality that got us to where we are today and this is what the govt. and the banksters are telling us to continue to do. These people are going to kill this country. The team that he has assembled is just the "same ol same ol" thing. Geithner is a crook and oversaw the New York area Fed...all the crap on Wall Street happened on HIS WATCH! Yet, we are now going to have him solve the problem for us...RIGHT. In addition, this guy has no academic training in economics or mathematics or business or finance. His degrees are in the soft sciences and he has to rely on other peoples' judgements to make decisions. He is TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED to be Treasury Secretary.

Let's face it: this stimulus bill is a Democrat wet dream...heaping hundreds of billions on their socialist project in order to destroy our Constitution...the arch nemesis of their massive, and ever-expanding egos. The stimulus will do nothing to get us out of recession because it doesn't produce anything for us...it just creates shitloads of money for social programs, nothing more.

The only thing the stimulus bill will do is allow the Socialists to go to their cocktail parties on the Upper West Side and have an orgasm in their host's living room while speaking about how all the money will further their political agenda.

I can't envision anything more obscene than a room filled with aging 60's radicals on the Upper West Side having a collective orgasm.

Well it looked like in the first video he was just talking without specifics, all generalities. If someone is handling a serious amount of money, it'd nice to hear some solid knowledge of the way it's going to be spent and what it'll achieve.

Not to be down on Obama, but his life-of-the-party attitude doesn’t impress me, he also talks in this booming voice, but almost looks like a kid, not weather-worn or beat-up enough yet, he looks like a guy who has worked inside too much and never did anything requiring hard-work.

Sorry, didn't watch the other one, like Bush, it's difficult to look at these people and take them seriously, it's gonna be a long 4 years...........

Oh it's way more than policy my man, WAY more than that. It's the system, it's the corruption, it's the lobbyists and special interests that give us only two choices every election. It's all of it. The whole thing needs to be flushed down the crapper, pronto.

And I understand why EVERYONE is against pissing away ANOTHER trillion.

Really? I don't sense enough anger YET. It's like people have already forgotten the first bailout like it was nothing. And the schucksters are already priming the pump for another one when they finish spending the $350 bill and the stimulus. And Captain Lightbulb is leading the charge.

And whats with this comment by the chosen one? "the brightest and smartest minds/economists tell us its what must be done?".

He's a puppett, just like Bush was.

But what would you do if you were president?

-Shut down the borders. No more free passes. All current illeagles here must register and begin to pay taxes or get the fuck out.

-Abolish the IRS and the federal reserve, PERMENANTLY. A flat tax or consumption tax, either would be fine with me.

-All politicians would get at least a 35% reduction in pay, effective immediately. Maybe more, would have to really sit down and look at the numbers. Also, benefits cut WAY, WAY, WAY back. Lifetime salary after retirement? You have to be kidding me with that crap!

-On top of a serious kick in the nuttsack via their pay, I would seriously cut government and spending. Make real and serious moves towards a TRUE capitalist society where everything is privatized except infrastructure and military.

-Temporarily practice a little protectionism for the American worker. Only until we balance the scales again and fix the damage done by the "globalizers". Impose tarriff's, higher taxes on companies that outsource. Give tax breaks to those that hire here.

-Oh, and I almost forgot the most important part, LET THE BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES AND WALL STREET FIRMS THAT GAMBLED BY ISSUING CREDIT TO ANYONE WITH A PULSE, FAIL!

That's just for starters. But I don't imagine I'd get to do much else, probably wouldn't even get to half this list. Someone would certainly have me knocked off just for suggesting these things.

1. Like the above witch, mass illegal immigration, and union parasites didn't have anything to do with California being bankrupt. Folks, if politicians are never guilty when their states go down in flames, why do we need politicians at all? Any other failed-employee would be fired, but the same politicians keep getting elected over and over again no matter what. The Barney Franks, the Feinsteins, Pelosis, Boxers, Reids, etc, etc, etc,

2. Let me guess, Keith. If the BS Stimulus works it'll be called, THE ALMIGHTY OBAMA STIMULUS. However, if it fails miserably, as it will, it'll be called, THE GOP STIMULUS, THE PELOSI STIMULUS, THE REID STIMULUS, etc. Right?

And no, I'm not a Republican and never voted for a Republican in my life.

3. If Obama was still a Senator, he would vote "Present" for this Stimulus. Any doubt about that?

Good onya for taking a stand to support SOMETHING, Keith. I don't like Obama all that much because he's not Left enough, as shown by his appointment of Geithner and so many other corrupt insiders. But at least he's trying to reverse the downfall.

What's the alternative, to stand frozen like a possum in the middle of the road when it hears the car's engine coming and the headlights flash it? I used to see those poor buggers being eaten by vultures all the time.

Many of your readers strike me as sour, resentful types. (Apologies to the rational ones.) I take it most got into you during HP. Maybe they liked you because you were sneering at the system. You reckon they read you more for your economic analysis, or because you hurled amusingly insulting brickbats at the system? Hate is a strong motivator, and some people enjoy writers (and radio talk show hosts) who spout it. But when that writer/broadcaster STOPS hating, those people HATE that.

Keep in mind that most of the disgruntled people who post on blogs have no power. They don't write or call Congresscritters; they don't show up at meetings when their reps tour their districts; they probably don't even have many friends to talk to. Their small store of creative juice is all spurted onto your comment section. So the opinions of these people mean nothing.

I'm surprised that so many commenters keep reading your posts, then write in saying "You're an idiot." I don't read the crap on sites like LGF and Red State because I find it ridiculous. I've got better things to do with my time. I suppose the people who diss you actually love you, deep down.

So yeah, Hopey's not perfect. He might very well fail. But I'd rather see him, and the United States, going down fighting. What I fear is that the forces of paralysis will win out, the possum will stand in the middle of the road, and America will be flattened. That's part of the reason why I got outta there.

Why not give the taxpayers the trillion dollars. We would actually spend the money on stuff that we need. Each person, at minimum, can get $3000. If you happen to have any outstanding debt or mortgage, the money have to go towards the debt/mortgage. Hence, it's a bank bailout also.

Pork spending is wasteful and pointless.

Keith, my issue with Obama is nothing more than me making my mind up based NOT on what he SAYS, but rather what HE DOES!!!

For a man full of change and YES we can, he sure is not living it in his actions.

C'mon Keith, Joe freaking Biden for VP, yeah that's change. Billery on his staff after that presidential run, please...

He gets sillier and sillier with every move he makes. Is he simply a puppet or does he actually believe what he is doing? Not knowing the answer to that question scares the hell out of me. In fact a yes to either of those questions scares the hell out of me!!!

This bill will be the biggest waste of money this country has ever spent and on the backs of our children's children. I would rather make the choice for Rome to burn than to do that to future generations. At least after it stops smoldering it can rebuild itself. This way it just ceases to be relevant any longer. That is a pretty sad way to go down. I would rather fight the good fight and go down in flames personally.

I agree we need to do something, but NOT THIS!!! Let us try the non future tax payer crushing blow approaches first ok? Like tax cuts and nationalizing some banks. How about banks doing principal write downs at THEIR expense? I don't want to hear that it won't work, because we have not tried it yet so how do we know? We do know for a FACT that the stimulus plan (future tax payer bailout on the backs of our children's children plan) will NOT work. We have history as a guide to tell us so. We have common sense too! We do have FACTS that show tax cuts do in fact work. Now we need MASSIVE ones for corporations to make hiring people in the USA more favorable than elsewhere. That in of itself will increase jobs NATURALLY and at ZERO cost to the tax payers. In fact the tax payer will benefit by new job creation!!!

I just solved the worlds problems according to Obama, because you know if we don't do this then by Tuesday I will need to sell my car, and by next Friday I lose my house. Oh yeah next month I get divorced and in July I think it is my entire family dies within 3 days of one another. TOTAL irreversible damage to me and every person I know. I think we end up in a giant 500 square mile field in a circle holding hands singing camp fire songs. Oh wait a minute... that is camp david and Obama and his administration... my bad!

It's Pelosi's plan, it's Reid's plan. And I bet Obama is disgusted by a good chunk of it.

In the video he said: "I inherited this mess" and failed to say: "I helped create this mess as a senator!"

So what happens when this plan fails?

It didn't work when Japan borrowed trillions to build new "infrastructure" in the 1990s.

It didn't work when France borrowed hundreds of billions to build new "infrastructure" in the 1980s.

It didn't work when Britain borrowed hundreds of billions to build new "infrastructure" in the 1970s.

It didn't work when Argentina borrowed billions to build "infrastructure" in the 1960s and 1990s.

It didn't even work when FDR borrowed billions to build boondoggles and prolonged the Great Depression by destroying demand for business investment.

But it's going to magically happen now?

We're just going to borrow another trillion bucks and toss it at a bunch of bridges to nowhere and new highways without cars since everyone is broke? And some solar panels? And everything will be well and fine with the world!

This time it WILL WORK! All we have to do is BELIEVE, and this policy that failed so often in the past 100 years will suddenly work! Yay!

Einstein defined insanity as trying the same approach repeatedly and expecting different results. By that measure, Congress, Obama, and most of America (including you, Keith) is insane.

12 months from now, we'll still be mired in a Depression, with even deeper debts, a shredded currency, higher interest payments on government debt incurred for this stupid "plan" taking up an increasing share of a shrinking government budget, millions of lost jobs, and Obama insisting that it's STILL not his fault because he just walked in and there was this big problem, yo!

Unreal.

I'm too tired to even be disgusted or afraid.

Now that Obama doesn't have Bush as the ugly sister to compare himself to he's looking a whole lot less impressive.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Nice one Keith!

That's part of the reason why I got outta there.

No, you got out of California because you helped to bankrupt that state with your union parasite job and ultraliberal crap. Now you Pelosi freaks are all on the run, trying to destroy other countries. You took your union parasite heist and ran, that's all you did, so don't ry to find merit on your cowardliness. Oh and one more thing, your constant kissing butt of Keith won't get you far here with old HP'ers. Now go put some patchouli on, "mate".

Yeah, keep deluding yourself their Keith. It's just one guy that isn't drinking the Obama Kool-Aid.

What are you talking about, Keith? There are many posts here that aren't mine. I have 2 posts here, plus this one.

In the video he said: "I inherited this mess" and failed to say: "I helped create this mess as a senator!"

----------------------------------
Excellent point, hadn't even thought to observe the guys character. He has taken ZERO responsibilty for ANYTHING. "I was handed this deficit when I took office".

A leader NEVER blames others. A leader accepts fault when things go wrong and takes none of the praise when they go right.

Obama is not qualified to lead a parade, let alone a country. We can now add spineless and shifty to his growing list of faults.

If you are a unique person, anon (it's silly even addressing someone as anon) then pick a handle, sign your posts. Clicks "Name/URL", and write in something. Anything. Or register in blogger.

Otherwise you don't matter.

Ah, poor sour multi-posting anonymous... What a shame that you regard compliments to Keith as "kissing butt." Perhaps that's what it is in your sad little world if you say something nice to someone.

But in my world, the one that's populated with nice people, I believe in positive feedback when something pleases me. That's the best way to ensure good performance. There is another type of person who believes that negative feedback is the way to go; that desired behaviour can best be achieved by directing insults at things they don't like.

I'm sorry that your mother beat you so much when you were younger, multi-poster Anon. I hope your mental scars will heal eventually. Then you might be able to make some friends!

Les said "Why not give the taxpayers the trillion dollars?"

I think if they had had a massive tax cut about a year ago when this all started, it might have helped. And at that same time cut spending in the Washington beaurocracy - the salaries, perks, payrolls, and empires in Washington. (That was probably out of the question.)

But now, fear has taken over and everyone is in the save to survive mode.
Not sure now what tax cuts or even 3000 to each person would do.

But if they're going print up the money and hand it out anyway, I could go with the 3000!

I think the global economy is going to crash. You want it fast or drawn out? If the bill fails it crashes faster and we hit bottom faster. If it's slow then welcome to Japan, baby. For the whole world! Just a slow downward spiral.

That's what you want Keith?

Keith don't try to defend Bukko. He insults 90% of the people hear. He is of course going to get his ass kicked from time to time.
PS He is a morally bankrupt communist.

If only we had voted in the right guy, things would get better.

You actually believe that, Rube?

We will not fix this economy until we PRODUCE things again that we EXPORT. Most of the production jobs have went over seas for a reason. That reason is that it is way cheaper to employ workers overseas. Why is that? Could it be that UNIONS demand such a high pay for its workers that companies packed up and left for cheaper pastures. I strongly suspect that is the reason. Will we get rid of unions? I highly doubt that would ever happen. So don't expect production jobs to come back. As a result don't expect to pay down any of our exponentially growing debt with exports. So only one of four things will happen. 1. We print more and more money to stimulate the economy and to keep our lifestyle which will result in HYPERINFLATION. 2. We will keep borrowing from other countries until they CUT US OFF when they realize we will never pay them back 3. We DRASTICALLY CHANGE OUR LIFESTYLES to stop running up a debt. 4. We drastically raise taxes which would KILL CONSUMER SPENDING AND THUS THE ECOMOMY. All four choices lead to the same outcome, a HUGE CHANGE IN LIFESYTLE. It is inevitable, and nobody, not even Barack "he walks on water" Obama can stop it.

Okay, I got a handle. I made two short comments, but have so many handles to keep up with, I just used "anonymous" right quick.

I don't think all these posts from "anon" is from one person.

I'd give the guy a chance if his "stimulus" bill actually had any stimulus in it.

What you describe as "leadership" is actually a top-notch liar and con man selling a sh*t sandwich to the American people. Another typical Democrat pork-barrel spending bill full of garbage.

I'll call him a leader when he actually starts showing some leadership instead of sitting back and letting Nancy Pelosi act as President Pelosi.

Keith, I think your love and mis-guided trust for this unskilled and in way over his head newbie is getting the best of you.

Your blindness allows you to fail to see how bad this stimulis bill will actually be for this country. Not only now, because it will do no good at all as far as stimulating anything, but for years moving forward as it adds to the bills we need to pay. Inflation will eventually be the result of all of this and that will be the final nail in the coffin for America.

The more I read and pull from this bill, the more I really see how totally ridiculas it actually is. The Senate did to this bill what they did to the last wasteful bill they passed. They increased the price tag and added more special interest pork spending. Remember wooden arrows and crap like that last time? More of the same in this bill.

It is a shameful bill to support and if Obama was ANY type of leader he would be SCREAMING at the Senate and Congress for attempting to place such a silly stupid proposal in front of him to eventually sign. He should be lambasting all of these idiots and their lack of insight as to what is needed in this country.

JOBS, JOBS, and MORE JOBS!!!

That and

TAX CUTS, TAX CUTS, and MORE TAX CUTS!!!

This is and should be simple for even our corrupt and hack appointed politicians to understand. I will spell out for them (in case they read this) what to do.

RULES:

1. If the line item does not immediatelly create an actual job within 1-3 months remove it.

2. If the job created will be gone within a year or immediatlly following completion of the task and isn't infrastructure related then remove it.

3. If the line item is a tax cut then leave it in.

4. Anything that does not fit into 1-3 REMOVE IT!!!

Thats it! Simple really...
