I still can't believe this speech was real, and not a joke. Because as a joke, it was pure comedy gold.

I could watch this again and again and again. But I'm odd like that.

Seriously though, this was one of my favorite political speeches of all time. I just can't believe it was real.

Monkeys. Monkeys I tell ya.

If this IDIOT is the "Best" the Republicans have to offer then LONG LIVE SOCIALISM!!!

The thought of that guy ever being President really scares me. He's apparently a very smart guy which makes him just that much more scary. I bet he thinks he has an in now that we've elected a black President.

Who the heck is this guy talking to?

And what the heck is he talking about?

Third verse same as the first!
Just last night, I was reminded
of just how bad it had gotten
and just how sick
I had become!

That really is funny. I'll admit that I'd not dug it up before, but it truly is worse than I'd guessed it could be.

I don't know where they dug that guy up, but he does a fine job representing the old Republican party while looking nothing like it (except for the tie). Can't they come up with a single new idea?

Americans can do anything.*

*If they are given the necessary training/resources/support.

Kind of like just about anyone else.

Pity the resources are running out.

It's not a joke if you're a true believer in the ideology of Jindal's political faction. And as you can see from reading your comments, there are still a lot of people who think that way, even after the utter failure of the past eight years.

What I can't believe is that he would tell a porky (Aussie slang for "stupid lie") in a nationally televised speech. That dramatic moment he mentioned where HE WAS THERE with the poor sheriff who was battling a bureaucrat who wouldn't let volunteer rescue boats halp people out of the N.O. flood zone? He wasn't there. How could he think he wouldn't be called out on that BS? I think people like Jindal delude themselves into believing their own lies.

His smarmy yak about how ill-advised it is for the government to monitor volcanoes spawned a faxusatire website about the topic.

I think what was funnier was the Fox News apologists trying to spin this to not seem like a train wreck.

You can't leave your house at 72 bitches!

Sometimes I turn mine up to 72 when freezing my ass off, while at the same time putting on a sweatshirt.

Point, not sure. Probably none. But give Bobby a break.

I'll take a speech from a politician who speaks his mind and isn't reading word for word from a teleprompter any day of the week, even if it doesn't come across perfect.
Obama can't even answer basic questions at a press conference without getting the answers from a teleprompter.

Keith,

Given the velocity at which big-time-major-shit is happening all over the planet by the hour, this seems like sorta old news.

It really wasn't funny then, and even less so now.

Pfffft.

Back to the drawing board GOP.

I suggest putting someone up there to speak with something to say who doesn't sound like he's reading a children's book.

I feel more patronized than when Obammy speaks.

When Gov. Jindal walked up to the microphone, I immediately felt it was mockable and I have tosay, I immediately turned it off. I couldn't take it. Had I known it was going to be THAT bad, I would have totally watched every second.

Who could have known it would be that bad? It's like a John Waters film--so bad, it's great.

China Premier Wen Jiabao:
Of course we are concerned about the safety of our assets. To be honest, I'm a little bit worried," Wen said at a news conference Friday after the closing of China's annual legislative session. "I would like to call on the United States to honor its words, stay a credible nation and ensure the safety of Chinese assets."

China already is Washington's biggest foreign creditor, with an estimated $1 trillion in U.S. government debt. A weaker dollar would erode the value of those assets.

I love the Fox Newsers and their talking points. "Obama needs a teleprompter".....yeah, heard that one over and over again.

Obama is a genious. Everyone who meets him and talks to him leaves amazed at how amazingly sharp he is and how quickly he grasps things. The man can meet people on the street and hold detailed conversations about any topic.

You can blast his policies but when you try to paint him as dumb, you look like a total moron. And coming from people who supported the very stupid Bush, it is very comical.

McCain just would have been quicker at it.

Raise taxes or print more devaluating currency - both of these tricks will no longer work.

-----------------------------------

No, what is comical is this same shit spewing from your mouth. Everything you said has been "heard over and over again."

You think you are enlightened enough to claim Obama a genius. Funny! Obama and Bush can both go to hell in the same coffin for all I care. The Dems vs Repubs war that people like you and Keith can't get over is a waste of time and shows what a "moron" you are.

The idea that we have to choose a side and then find propaganda that fits our arguments has really gotten old. I have been labeled a Bush supporter just because I have been quick to point out what a piece of shit Obama is. Bush and Obama are not much different, so if you want to label Obama a "genius" then you may as well label Bush the same. The reality is they both suck.

This blog has gotten so predictable. On a daily basis Keith has to post something negative about Bush and the Republicans to make himself feel better about about voting for the epoch failure we now have in the White House. Then, the all too common argument takes place. "Your stupid! No, your stupider!! Well yeah, but your the stupidest. Haha!!"

If this is "reinventing America" then we are done. Keith what I don't get is you are so quick to refer to Bush and his admin. But when it comes to Obama you will put down his whole admin but let Obama slide. You don't play by the same rules. You act as if Obama does not need to take ownership for the coices of his admin.

So people, live up to it. Just be able to call a peice of shit when you see one, no matter what side of the argument your on.

Obama has been nothing but lies, broken promises, and flat out misleading. This is "genius" because he speaks well and can hold a conversation? Social interaction does not make someone genius. If that were the case I would have to label some really stupid girls I know as "genius" because they screw so well. I don't give a fuck about charisma when it comes to running the country.

i heard that obama is working on using a teleprompter during press conferneces. it will play back important talking points that apply to a reporter's questions and he can choose to use the talking points or not.

Supporters of Bobby Jindal have forgotten the most basic characteristic of successful national politicians: they must be photogenic. Americans have to feel comfortable having their President in their living rooms every day and listening to what he has to say. This guy is just too scary to look at. Keep looking, Rush.

I'm waiting for someone to have the guts to ask, "Mr. President, in what hospital were you born, and do you have documentation that shows you were born there?"

No, the "birth announcement" in a newspaper DOES NOT COUNT.

I'll say one nice thing and one critical thing about him.

1) Nice: He's not obsese. But for gawd's sake, eat a hamburger!!

2) Crtical: He probably worship cows. I guess eating that hamurger is out of the question then.

So I guess the only qualification for being president is giving a good speech.

No wonder THE ONE won.

Mo Rage said...

no, the only qualification for President should be, as it was this year, intelligence, ability and determnination, along with eloquence, since we virtually none of that in, with and from the previous administration.
