Back when Americans were the good guys. What happened to that America, anyway?
I still run into old Aussies who remember those days, grateful that America saved their arses from the Japs. They remind me that it was the U.S. which built the core of the hospital where I work now as a place to treat American servicemen hurt in the Pacific Theatre. (The hospital has grown a lot of new wings in the succeeding half-century, but the Yank section still functions.)
Just to show there's two sides to every story, though, I had a crusty-but-sharp 86-year-old nurse as a patient recently. Her first job was in that military hospital. And she was still hacked off at the Americans. Because after they built the hospital, they let Aussies use it for a while, until too many war casualties started pouring in. Then the Yanks turfed the Australian patients out; made 'em go back to the old city hospital that was a relic of British colonial days. Six decades later, when she heard my accent, she still got stroppy about it.
In memory of the precious innocent Jews who paid the highest price for not selling their souls to the two legged barbaric animals over all that time..
The damage done to mankind will cost us all for the rest of human existence.
Europe will never recover.

I wonder how nice it would be IF america did not get involved in WW2. I think we would be a quiet farming country. And I don't believe the germans would have invaded us. Like the japan commander said about america " a man behind every blade of grass with a rifle" Well we did get involved and kicked the crap out of them, and went on to build and breed like it would never end.

It’s a stark date with destiny that, as a nation of debt, you’ve reached the end of the line. When you can’t sell your bonds any longer it’s game over. That means that your currency is seriously overvalued relative to the rest of the world. You can no longer pay your debts. The world will shut you off. You’re nothing but a bad debt.

Many of the precious innocent Jews, especially rich business owners, were supporting Hitler in the early days (1933/34) when he was "taking care" of the communists and socialists. They supporeted him with huge financial contributions because it suited their purpose to eliminate the socialist element. It was not until after he had crushed the political opposition in about 1935 when he turned against the Jews. Of course then none of the Socialist or Communists were left to stand up for the Jews. They were all hanging around in the KZ Buchenwald. If more people would have had the courage to stand up against Hitler in the early days the whole nasty situation could have been avoided. In retrospect, the Jewish plan to eliminate the political left in Germany by supporting Hitler backfired badly. But of course that's a fact of history that always gets omitted 'cos it doesn't fit in as nicely.

YOU should remember that at the same time as D-Day, the Russians inflicted Germany's biggest military disaster _ Operation Bagration - of course this goes against the Official News story that it was the Americans AND Britain's who liberated Europe

FWIW, mate, I AM coming back to the U.S. next week. But not to stay. Mrs. Bukko and I are visiting friends in San Francisco, I'm going to flt to the East Coast (free trip with airline miles -- woohoo!) to visit my increasingly senile and staunchly Republican mum, and I'll be doing some job-hunting in Vancouver, B.C.
We're stopping in Hawaii TWICE! Just to break up the jet lag, of course. A couple of days in Oahu on the way out, and five days in Maui on the way back. Mrs. Bukko got seriously bitten by the reef-diving bug when we were on the West Coast of Australia in March, so now she wants to visit even more tropical paradises.
My life is good, too much debt. I'm glad to be able to share the details with you about how wonderful it's going. I hope you are having fun and happiness too. You seem a bit aggro, though.
This should make you happy -- we have no intention of repatriating to the U.S. We're not coming back to live there until after the collapse into anarchy, rioting and mass death has played out. I hope I live long enough to see it through!
I hope you get to live through it too, too much debt. Only, you're going to have to live where it's happening all around you. I'll get to watch it from afar, with lots of popcorn. It's god to be me. It's gonna suck to be you, though.
