History will be brutal. No matter how much he tries to spin it as he slithers out of office.
Not only will history will be brutal, but I hope Bush is hounded until the day he dies for the destruction he brought to America and to the world.
He should be shouted down anytime he tries to speak. He should be vigorously protested whenever he comes out of his cave. He and Cheney both.
History will not be kind. And neither should the American people.
Paybacks are a bitch.

Correction.... The perpetrator of the Anthrax attacks was caught, he just killed himself first.
Bush made his grandpa proud.
I hope he dies a painful death....SOON!!!!
Here's a quote I want everyone to remember:
"We understand that we’ve got to provide a blood infusion to the patient right now to make sure that the patient is stabilized. And that means that we can’t worry about the deficit."
B. Obama 12/4/08
We have an incoming President saying that we can't worry about the deficit.
We are so f*cked
Hmmm. I say let the guy keep yapping. He digs his grave deeper and deeper every time that Ivy League trap opens up.
By all means, slap W around. I'm all for it. Just be ready to do the same to Obama.
Run through the following scenario in your head and tell me how you would feel:
Iran scales up the funding of terrorism in Israel by funding Palestinians surreptitiously - the same way they do in Iraq. Liberals spend most of their media time making fun of Fox News. Diplomacy fails with Israel taking a hard-line stance against Iran. Israel bombs nuclear development sites in Iran without prior US approval. Iran fires missiles at Israel. Obama attacks Iran's missile sites. The UN condemns the actions and suggests we all sing Kumbaya – and that the US should buy all of the ingredients needed to make smores. Syria backs Iran. War breaks out between India and Pakistan. Liberals still spend most of their media time making fun of Fox News. Saudi Arabia tries to act like it's Switzerland, but Obama has a hostile relationship with them (in comparison to GWB). Antiwar Liberals wonder what the hell happened to their pacifist messiah. Obama's anti-oil rhetoric makes it impossible for the US to use its "permanent" military bases in Saudi Arabia - or get reliable cooperation from the Saudi Royal Family. Oil Prices jump 1000 percent. Obama orders an enormous amount of the US oil reserves released. The Republicans all scream, “We TOLD you to drill.” Obama scales up the Air Force and Navy presence in the Persian Gulf region despite off-again, on-again skirmishes and protests from the left-wing. African pirates have a field day. Genocide in Africa spreads. Printing more money for ANY of these causes is useless because of inflation. Liberals still spend most of their media time making fun of Fox News. Obama says he has a strong dollar policy. Interest rates shoot way up. Housing has bottomed but high interest rates keep people from buying. Money bombs can't help home buyers because of inflation. Obama doesn't know what to do now that he can't print more money to delay the problems. He increases taxes on the rich by 25%. Tax revenues actually fall instead of increasing. Rich people take the money back from the people they employ and increase investment in China. Retirement ceases to exist because the entitlement is printing money. Welfare roles triple because the entitlement is just printing money. Infrastructure funding dries up because it was done by printing money. Liberals still spend most of their media time making fun of Fox News. Crime levels increase in every city in the US. Immigrants still cross the borders openly, but now Americans actually WANT jobs cutting lawns and cleaning toilets. Obama and the governor of California welcome the illegals at the border with fruit baskets made in China. Socialized medicine takes over in the US and the surgeon who does your first heart surgery got a C+ average in his Anatomy Classes, because smart people don’t want to be doctors anymore. The US dollar falls like a stone. Obama continues to say he has a strong dollar policy. China begins selling off 2.5 Trillion in US treasuries. The liberals blame it all on Fox News.
Are you going to treat Obama like garbage, if even a part of this goes down? Because he WILL DESERVE IT. Are you going to blame the Democratic Congress?
History will not be brutal enough if he lives.
Turn your back when he speaks. An old time equal of "shunning". Very effective as its visual, which is important in these days.
you forgot his tariffs to prop up the steel industry (~2004?).
That ended up handicapping the auto industry more than it helped the steel industry. It raised the input prices to build cars obviously- handicapping hte domestics but not the imports. A nobel-prize winning economist concluded that it cost more auto industry jobs than it saved positions in the steel industry.
All bc the fed gov had guaranteed those steel industry pensions- you see Bush didn't want the Fedgov onthe hook for those steelworker pensions so he enacted the tariffs to keep those inefficient companies afloat.
He counted on votes from Pennsylvania. He knew he would lose michigan(detroit) and didn't care one way or another.
Free market my ass. That was how I learned the difference between a decent republican and a scum-sucking 'neocon'.
From Neo-cons to Neo-hooverites...
"We will be known as the party of Herbert Hoover forever"
Dick Cheney December 2008
In defending federal anti-drug programs recently, the president said: "Government must not fear places of love."

well, we likely won't hear much from bush in the future, unlike the fool jimmy carter.
i really don't foresee bush traveling to palestine or some other troubled area to try and fix things.
you know how to put an end to iran... $10 oil would do it.

Outstanding Rant dude!!!!!
so bush the evil one made a visit to iraq today to thank the troops and the government but will vilified by both keiths and obama will be showered with praise by both keiths when he makes his first official visit but what do you expect
Booooooooooosh, Obammyyyyyyyyyyyy, shit sandwhich on wheat or rye, whats the difference. Shit is shit.
The super idiot calls another idiot the worst. However WE will never know how many lives were saved by Bush his actions. It's like had we invaded Germany in 1939 and hang Hitler from the highest Weinachts Baum.
Funny thing is - I kind of feel sorry for him at this point. He's such a loser, almost everything he has attempted has failed, and his network of enforcers and handlers have all bailed out to salvage their own careers and reputations. Without the machinery surrounding him, he's just a Connecticut frat-boy *way* out of his depth.
If you watch closely the way he interacts with Obama you can see how much relief he seems to feel with their current power-sharing arrangement. I'm sure the deal is something along the lines of "you start sharing power now and don't sabotage me and I'll salvage your legacy and prevent your utter humiliation."
Still, history will not be kind in the long term. In the short term, we will have bigger things to worry about and Obama's modus operandi is to be magnanimous like that popular kid in school who never made fun of the dorks because he was so high status that it didn't get him anything.
duarte -
Don't forget the part where the liberal boogymen release the monkeys that start infecting everyone with rage virus.
Then the dark-skinned ones are going to threaten the purity of your virtuous white daughters.
Then they nebulously give "aid and comfort to our enemies" by making them feel good.
Just keep imagining such things, and whatever you do, don't actually have a meaningful dialog (including listening) with someone who you suspect might be a "lib". And don't talk to foreigners either. Those crazies still think Bill Clinton was one of the best presidents we ever had....
Casey -
I have an income of $150,000 a year and no debt. Scout's honor. So long as you're not going to ask any questions or verify anything, I'd love to talk to you about not paying for housing for the next 6 months or so....
he'll probably go back to be the president of the Texas rangers on the MLB.
he'll live to be 80 with lots of money and very happy cause he'll always have suck-ups that will tell him he was a great president.
and there's nothing the sheeple will be able to do about it.unfortunately that's the reality.
all we can do is blog about it...

Obama wants to do the massive infrastructure WPA along with building more schools. Can't be worrying about deficits can we?
I can look around and see the bridges are sagging and the roads are full of potholes, but I don't see a shortage of school buildings anywhere. IMO it is what is inside the existing public schools (teachers and admin types and union) that are the problem, NOT a shortage of buildings. Why do we need to build more school buildings? Just busywork.
Great show on History Channel last nite comparing the Great Depression to the Crash of 08. The WPA did not work for FDR (even though they did actually build a lot of bridges and roads), the country was still in Depression. It was WWII expenditures that finally worked for FDR.
We don't have the money to fight WWIII unless we nuke the world as we already have paid for the Minuteman Missle. Probably the only asset the USA really owns free and clear are all the nukes.
I guess that would finally solve the problem.
How did this asshole get elected twice? I'll tell you how, THE GAME IS RIGGED!
I'd throw my shoes at him too except I can't afford no shoes!!
That guy gives me the willies.
Here's Robin Williams' take on a lot of the same stuff.
http://politicalirony.com/2008/11/30/robin-williams-on-obamas-election/
did you see the iraq reporter who threw both of his shoes at bush as he spoke it was interesting to me and i thought if this reporter had done this a few years back to a certain president i believe that would be the last time he ever threw anything ever again so he can thank bush for his new found liberty

Do you know your ass from a hole in the ground?
I don't give a shit what you make.for all I know you are flipping burgers at the golden arches.Buy a god dam house please.
"...slap W around. I'm all for it. Just be ready to do the same to Obama..."
You mean before he even takes office, right?
Maybe we should reserve judgement on W; after all: we've had a mere 8 years to evaluate him, versus a traitorous, un-American wish for things to go bad for our next war-time president.
This crew couldn't even keep it undercover long enough to hide the bad-faith partisanship.
Duarte, in your rant, I notice the ominous possibility you keep repeating is "Liberals make fun of Fox." Gives us a clue to what's close to your heart, eh? You forgot to say a good word for Rush, though!
It's lots of fun to imagine scary scenarios, isn't it? Makes a commenter never want to leave the shelter of mom's basement...
Putting a village idiot on to explain a dumbass leaves a lot to be desired.
Casey - didn't detect the note of sarcasm in my note directed at no-doc loans, did you?
BTW, Casey, yours was the right response. If only we'd had those kinds of responses in 2005-7 maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.
I liked Olbermann a lot better when he was on Sportscenter. I think he have watched Network a few too many times and decided to make a career out of hating on Bush. To make it worse, his rants are televised on the "Microsoft" News network. What the hell is that channel still doing on my TV? It's somehow worse than FOX!NEWS! and CNN if that's possible.
Maybe Olbermann can be the American "journalist" who follows suit and throws his shoes at Bush, if they'll even let him in a press conference. Will he still be hating on Dubya even after BO takes office?
I'd rather see someone with credibility do this story but I don't even know who I'd pick. Tim Russert passed on and Walter Kronkite is too damn old.
I knew that would hit home.
Just remember, raising taxes on the rich results in lower tax revenues, money bombs stop working when the dollar collapses, and diplomacy without military might (and the guts to use it) is only a show of weakness.
Why are those important to remember? Because they are the entirety of Obama's game plan.
W. wasn't a fiscal conservative, either. We couldn't afford the war. He deserves what he gets.
Did anyone call me a racist, yet? That's usually next.
Duarte - I don't particularly like Obama's plan either. But it's better than the "broken window" spending we've been getting for the past 8 years. The bank bailouts were a far more foolish use of the money than this will be. Because this will actually build things of some marginal productive use in the real world.
Now that you're sounding more rational, I'd be happy not to insult you. You sounded pretty wound up over the whole "liberal" label and that's usually a sign that someone is stuck in the culture wars rather than attempting to analyze reality. I'm not a liberal, but they've got a better plan then the Republican party appears to. Hell they don't even appear to have a plan at all, nor be a party in many senses at this point.
Just as Bush wasn't a fiscal conservative, Obama isn't showing many signs of being a liberal yet. Remember that no less than Dick Cheney said "we'll be remembered as the party of Herbert Hoover forever (if we don't bailout the auto industry)". They don't talk about "the Washington Consensus" for nothing.
As for diplomacy with teeth, the current administration already put us in the position you're describing. Our overcommitment in Iraq and the wear and tear on our forces means that adversarial states have a lot more room to push. There's a threshold below which it doesn't pay for us to take action because the cost-benefit isn't there. Our present disposition raises that threshold. A bomb that's already been dropped has little deterrence value. Something which Colin Powell, who has been on both ends of that equation, knows. And something which military families, like mine, know. Despite Condi Rice's attempt to spin it, Iran is shutting off the flow of EFPs because they see an opportunity to get off on a new footing and de-escalate. Bush failed miserably on Iran, and overplayed the "Bad Cop" card. That's part of the reason we don't have more of a Khatami in power there now.
I'm not even going to get into the more nuanced topic of the fact that without the goodwill of our traditional allies (like, gasp, France) and the moderate Islamic world (circa 800 million people) we are even more f***ked. Because defusing globalized extremist groups requires intelligence and cooperation.
But you know, this argument really doesn't matter. Because grownups are in charge now. And while they won't be perfect, things are getting better behind the scenes as we speak. The fantasy world of the past 8 years has come to an end. Don't buy into it's dying gasps.
The media (including Keith) love to paint the world Red or Blue. The truth is neither. I'm not even sure the world shows up as purple. One thing you will always here from me is equally distributed blame.
ANYONE in the presidency in the 1990's would have been considered a "great" president. I was screaming then that the stock market was a bubble and that the wealth it was supposedly creating was an illusion. The deregulation of the media, the expanding of the capability of banks using fractional reserves to fund derivatives gambling, terrorist actions against American interests in the Middle East, Saddam violating the Persian Gulf War Cease Fire Agreement 150 times, Oil For Food Scandals, and the planning for 911 all happened before Bush took office. Both sides are crooked, greedy, short-sided and elitist.
Obama's deficit spending will dwarf the total Iraq War Debt. The Automaker Bailout, for instance: whatever the figure we are told, you can add a zero to – 10 billion will become 100 Billion. Obama firmly believes that the dollar cannot be displaced as the world's reserve currency. He also believes that spending money domestically is no more of a threat to the consumer price index than our Iraq War spending. He is dead wrong. One dollar spent there is much less of a threat to the domestic money supply than a dollar spent here. Hyperinflation, soaring crime, a tumbling standard of living, moral decay and sparkling clean new bridges in Minnesota await us on his watch.
There are a whole slew of truths that never get spoken unless people such as I speak them. The hockey stick graph was manipulated propaganda; the globe cooled this year and last; automakers generate more C02 in building electric and hybrid cars than the vehicles will ever save; modern nitrogen-based miracle fertilizers could feed the starving in Africa but aren't being distributed because of Nitrogen's threat as a greenhouse gas (200 times more potent that C02); DDT is not a greater threat than malaria; paving roads in Africa would reduce disease and improve the economy of the whole continent; Mexico, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Great Britain are as racist as the United States (if not more so); GWB drew Al Qaeda into Iraq and hurt them badly; if a terrorist hides his weapons at grandma's house, liberals will inevitably blame George W. Bush when grandma get's killed...
and the biggest of all...there is such a thing as a “terrorist”. We are at war with radical Islam, and it is Greater Islam's responsibility to name the terrorists in their midst.
Duarte - I think we're thread-hijacking at this point :-) I'm glad we were able to move to a more productive conversation.
See you in another topic.
I like Olbermann but I think I've had an Olberdose.
Please make him stop!
Well at least one thing. He'll have less of those "Angry" special comments once Obama is in office.
