I'm going to post this again so that Mike Norman, Tom Adkins, Ben Stein, Art Laffer and the rest are completely and forever destroyed

And add to that list Kendra Todd, Nicholas Retsinas, Greg Swann, Leslie Appleton-Young, Lawrence Yun, David Lereah, Connie De Groot, Neil Cavuto, Ben Bernanke, Charles Payne, Stuart Varney, Jim Cramer, Larry Kudlow... I could go on and on and on and on.

It took a lot of conmen and fools to inflate the Late Great Housing Bubble. Americans trusted these talking heads and commission-hungry thieves, and it needs to be drilled into their heads - DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON COMMISSION. EVER. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON TV. EVER. DO NOT TRUST THE MEDIA, DO NOT TRUST BLOGS, DO NOT TRUST YOUR FRIENDS, DO NOT TRUST YOUR NEIGHBORS.

You're on your own. Do your own research. Run your own numbers. And then when you're right or wrong, you only have yourself to blame.

  3. A couple of days ago, Mrs. Bukko was watching Dr. Phil. (She never used to watch that crap in the U.S., but down here she's become a fan. Go figure!) So who's on this episode to give financial advice? Ben Stein and Jim Cramer! Telling people how to deal with the crisis that they steadfastly denied was happening!

How in the hell do people who were wrong about EVERYTHING keep getting gigs on TV? I can answer my own question -- it doesn't matter if you're wrong, it just matters that your face is well-known. Celebrity trumps accuracy any time. Once you have been awarded the gold rin of media recognition, you can screw up all you want, no consequences.

Part of me says "A pox on everyone who's stupid enough to pay attention to these idiots." But my merciful side says stupid people should be shielded. A just society doesn't let criminals prey on small children, old people and the mentally deficient just because they can't defend themselves. All those people on your list should go to Blagojevich's prison. But in the interest of ptreventing rape, they should all be given locking butt plugs!

  4. These guys deserve to be called out by the MSM every day until their careers are wrecked and or they are sent to jail. They cheerleaded recklessness and then gave recklessness as the solution. I'm saving the biggest F you for the tool economists: Lawrence Yun, Ben Bercracky, Jim Cramer.

They were completely WRONG and deserve to be humiliated.

  5. I saw a Dr Phil episode a few years ago. It was about out-of- control young children. One particular 7 year old was a destructive monster. One day, for kicks, the boy took his hampster and decapitated it using a retractable suitcase handle as a guillotine. The boy felt so bad about this that the mother bought him another hampster.

My Wife and I learned this the hard way with our home purchase. We saved years for a down payment (6 figures), only for it to vanish.

  8. I sure hope he's selling tickets to his 'how to get rich in real estate' shows because swanndive sure doesn't look to be making any money being a realtor

check out his listings (hat tip JB)

    http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1450-E-Garfield-St-Phoenix-AZ-85006/7529156_zpid

    $40,000

    Wow.

Sell for $30,000 times his 3% = $900. What's Top Ramen these days, say 30 cents? Well, that is 3000 packs of ramen.

Who even takes a listing like that? Where do you meet a person selling a $40,000 home? AA? Methadone clinic?

Someone make an offer on this one! Maybe $5,000?

I can't watch anymore. Please stop sending me stuff like this!

  12. Keith,
    Great post

Self responsibility is key to sucess.

Taking ownership of our own decisions gives us a sense of being in control of our own destiny.

    Very empowering.

Losers blame others for their failures.

Since you're ranting about Ramen, it may be time to use that photo I emailed you last week.

    Bah wah ha ha.

    Mwa resposible?

GOD killed his only son born to a virgin after a sneaky hot and wild romantic randavouz in a barn in the beautiful land of Israel

Now I don’t have to be responsible anymore.

Its all good here, someone already died for all my bank fraud sprees.

I accept Jesus in my heart.

    Woo Hoo – I’m saved!

And I thought the Romans murdered yet another innocent man, but then again perhaps they accepted Jesus in their heart.

    Self responsibility is for whimps.

  19. One of my favorite sayings applies to Schiff and his views on housing:

    Truth passes through 3 stages:
    1st - it is ridiculed.
2nd - it is violently opposed.
3rd - it is accepted as being self-evident.

  20. Please don't show that again. it makes my blood boil. and that whiny chick who says, "oh my god, you are so pessimisitc" ugh, sometimes other females make me cringe (i'm a chick). I wish those fools on Fox Biz (whatever, Murdoch wants to shut that channel down anyway) could be shown this video over and over again and then apologize to Peter, et al on national tv. i would pay money to see that. I hope asswipe Adkins is going through Chap 11 due to really bad RE investments. anybody know what's the latest on that joker?

  21. I'll offer Greg a palate of Ramen from Costco and a pair of tickets to the next minor league hockey game. They are played downtown, so he could meet me down there on game night if he dares drive his car in to that neighborhood.

  24. I don't have cable, so I only get to see this dreck once in a while at a friend's place, or if I'm staying at a hotel. Forgot how bad it could be.

I always thought Laffer was a schmuck. He founded the modern Republican movement toward irresponsible tax policy.

  25. This is just incredible. We have VIDEO evidence of these talking heads getting it all so wrong (and acting like children by interrupting and insulting Schiff during his speaking time), yet that doesn't matter. America is just ignoring all that.

So this RE bubble is only going to happen AGAIN. The same wrong phrases will be used. The older generation will re-publish books to support the new bubble. Lereah? Yeah, he'll come out of obscurity to re-print his ludicrous bubble books. And America will eat it up.

And we in the minority will be in the new bubble blogs or vogs, trying helplessly to stem the tide of greed and stupidity. And we'll suffer the same slings and arrows of our cultural misfortune.

America needs to burn. No society that is THIS STUPID should survive.
