UK interest rates at a 350-year low. Yet American Express is charging 46% APR on its BA card. Please join me in telling AMEX to go f*ck themselves
Gotta love AMEX.
In addition to their joke of an interest rate, they've also raised their annual fee. And of course, they charge merchants significantly more than VISA or Mastercard for processing.
I'll sure miss 'em when they're gone.
Not.
American Express can go f*ck itself. They are dinosaurs, and the comet has hit. And anyone with an AMEX card should rip it up in protest.
AMEX can take their stupid cards and stick them up their as*es. America, and the world, can make do without AMEX. And not one penny of US taxpayer funding should go to this pathetic institution.
Good riddance AMEX. You helped f*ck America and the world, and now you should go away.
Amex card charges record 46pc for credit
American Express has raised the annual rate on one of its credit cards to 46pc, despite interest rates plunging to their lowest level in the Bank of England's history.

Europe is soo toast.
There is just no way in hell they are coming out of this one without severe damage.
With or without Amex, with or without lower or higher interest rates.
the fake uber-elite facade is crumbling right before our eyes.
maybe its time for Europeans to get real jobs.
The game of hiring expats and selling to America is over.
Never mind the Great Depression 2.0; it's going to be the Dark Ages 2.0.
Time to apply to be a monk.
Amex's customers are voluntarily contracted to Amex. It's not even much of a contract, since they can leave Amex at any time. So I have no sympathy.
AMEX has never been a card anyone needed. Even as far back as 1980. I dont know why anyone would use one.
Um oh, my Blue Amex gave me 0% Interest for 2 years. I've been doing financial arbitrage since then. Gotta know how to play the rigged system.

Buh buh who's going to pose as intellectuals, while being rude waiting on Cafes?
And one more thing Europeans, don't you dare try to immigrate en masse again to North or South America. I hope Putin rapes you all day and night.
My credit card - Chase - sent a 0% interest ('til December) check, with a $199 max. transaction fee.
I may take out my full credit line if I want! Seriously thinking about paying a nice $11K lump down on my mortgage, since I already pay $1K extra/month.
That would still provide me with $15 K to play around with.
What would YOU do with $25K if you had this amount to 'play around with' until December?
Would you gamble in the stock market, buy Gold, ot just pocket the cash and skip town?

and they probably cut the shareholders dividends and they are losing money while the ceo makes a 100 million dollar salary
Just curious - where does all of this anti-european sentiment come from? I'm an American living in Germany. The people here work their tails off, rarely borrow, and spend their money wisely. Germany has been the #1 exporting nation for decades and is still ahead of China - and that with only 85 millon people. Nearly everyone is friendly and helpful, and customer service (which really used to stink years ago) is now at least as good as the US. Taxes are somewhat higher, but they have a much older population to contend with and no natural resources. Sure, they didn't like Bush's foreign policy (who did?), but they have great respect for America. What did they do to deserve such anger?

Monks made the best beers during the Dark Ages. Beer was way more nutritious then. People survived on beer.
On the bright side..
Who cares.
If you pay your CC bill off each month, it's irrelevant what the APR is.
I have AMEX and use it to purchase everything because it get cash back from it. I could care less what the interest rate is because I've never kept a balance. Same stuff I would have bought with cash or debit, except I get cash back for using it. As long as the don't raise the annual fee, I'll stick with them
Amex BlueCash is the best cash-back card out there. 1.5% to 5% cash back - on average it gives 2.2% with no upper limit. I've been using it for two years now. Best cash-back card out there. Period. All my friends already have one. I'm using my Visa only on the few places where Amex is still not accepted. BTW Amex cards are the only credit cards accepted in Costco.

Plus a 3% cash-back on gasoline.
