If it's gonna go down, it's gonna go down starting today, in London. Ready for the G-20 Meltdown?
I think Dancing with the Stars is on, so probably gonna be much of nothing.
But... after the magnitude of what they have done, maybe it will be more like this:

What scares me about this is the backlash against capitalism.
Capitalism is not to blame for this crisis. It was the intereference with capitalism that caused this crisis, not capitalism.
You had the federal reserve keeping interest rates too low for too long, encouraging people to borrow too much and spend too much. Legislation also encouraged too much borrowing and spending - eliminating the capital gains tax on real estate is one example.
I warn you all: do not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
If today is it, then it's never going to happen.
Keith, could you take some video and post please. I wish I could be there.
Keith, good string of posts.
You asked us about America: people are living in the present or the past. Everyone stopped looking to the future because it is so rife with horror. SO people are putting one foot in front of the other and focusing on the here and now.
I haven't been abroad since Dec 2007, so I am wondering about the people of the world. After all, Americans have been insulated from the true calamity by the Helicopter: most Americans are net moochers from the system and pay little in terms of taxes or have government jobs. It's the foreigner who is truly getting screwed without the lube.
Is that why you speak of wild European protests and such?
One way to diffuse the increasing tension amongst the citizens of the U.S. would be for President Obama to reduce his salary to $1.
Capitalism is to blame for this mess. "The Libertarians will sell us the rope we use to hang them with" said Karl Marx.
Paul E Math. You are correct it was not capitalism but unregulated capitalism. Capitalism is just a tool not an ideal as some RWer's seem to believe. Completely unregulated free market capitalism as RW'ers envision it would work no better as a tool than would turning a table saw on and throwing it into a pile of wood and expecting it would produce anything useful.
Paul you are correct. Why are people blaming capitalism? It was the interference by the Fed that caused the problems. If capitalism is allowed to run without interference, it always self-corrects. The problem is when you keep artificially preventing a self-correction, then a small self-correction turns into a major correction down the road that is very painful. Then the people turn around and blame capitalism. NO IT WAS THE FED INTERFERING WITH CAPITALISM. LETS GET IT STRAIGHT.
it's OK to kill riot cops
What would happen if the police refused to protect the bankers and sided with the people instead:

"it's OK to kill riot cops"
No it's not.
I remember at the dinner table that my parents always told us to clean our plates because there were children in Africa starving. Sounds hokie, but even back then we all knew that we had more than we really deserved.
Parents today don't even bother with that anymore. We are special and entitled as our politicians say as they steal your retirement while you watch TV. We will not apologize for our way of life.
Well good luck with that.
If you think that out of a total of 6 billion people on planet earth that our measly 350 million will continue to live our blissful, televised lifestyle you are dreaming.
I wonder if there will be a blackout on the riots just now picking up steam around the world by our MSM?
lalalalala I can't hear you......
Fuck America. Corrupt America SUCKS.
You think those 4 officers murdered in Oakland was tragic (and it WAS), just WAIT a little while longer while America is Sold Out AGAIN by Washington and Wall Street and no more future exists for millions and generations yet unborn.
Reminder: You can run but you cannot hide.

Tens of thousands protest G20 summit
Police on high alert ahead of gathering of international leaders
updated 1 hour, 33 minutes ago
LONDON - Tens of thousands of people marched across central London Saturday to demand jobs, economic justice and environmental accountability, kicking off six days of protest and action planned in the run-up to the G20 summit next week.
More than 150 groups threw their backing behind the "Put People First" march. Police said around 35,000 attended the demonstration, but there were large gaps in the line of protesters snaking its way across the city toward Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park.
Security was tight around a small group of people waving anarchist flags. Anarchists and others have promised violence before the G20 meeting Thursday, and the British capital is bracing for a massive police operation as representatives of the world's 20 leading economies — including U.S. President Barack Obama — fly in for a summit on the financial crisis.
The London protest takes place against the backdrop of a deepening global recession and growing public anger over bankers' pay and the painful fallout from the crisis. The marchers are pushing for a more transparent and democratic economic recovery plan.
In Britain, unemployment has risen above 2 million, house prices have fallen 11 percent in a year and industrial output has recorded its worst drop since 1981.
"The whole economic meltdown ... There's a really good opportunity for governments to get together and invest in a sustainable future," said unemployed Steve Burson, 49, marching with the protesters.
Demonstrators spark G20 security fears
March 28: Thousands of protesters in London turned out to voice their displeasure on a range of issues as world leaders prepare to attend the G20 summit. NBC's Stephanie Gosk reports.
MSNBC
The biggest groups backing the demonstration include the Stop The War Coalition, whose supporters marched under the slogan "Jobs Not Bombs," Friends of the Earth, and the Trades Union Congress, an umbrella group of British trade unions, which is calling for Britain's crisis-hit manufacturing base to share in country's banking bailout.
"They should be solving (the crisis) in the interest of working people," said Andy Bain, the president of Transport Salaried Staffs' Association. "All the money is going to the rich."
Protesters whistled and booed British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's 10 Downing Street office — with one shouting: "Enjoy the overtime!" as they filed past.
Some G20 protestors have adopted slogans such as "Hang a Banker" and "Storm the Banks." More protests are planned Wednesday and Thursday, while left-leaning teach-ins, lectures, and other demonstrations are scheduled throughout the week.
Protests in Europe
There were other demonstrations aimed at the G20 summit throughout Europe on Saturday.
Berlin police estimated that around 10,000 people gathered in front of the capital's city hall and more than 1,000 in Frankfurt, Germany's banking capital, for similar demonstrations under the slogan: "We won't pay for your crisis."
Some demonstrators in Berlin sported headbands reading "pay for it yourselves" and carried placards demanding: "make capitalism history."
"We have no evidence that anyone attending intends to disrupt our plans, break the law or commit any acts of violence," said Glen Tarman, chairman of the organizers.
The first broken window theory is about to begin in USA.
The cops better bury their uniforms when the shit starts, and I am convinced by the overwhelming evidence it Will Start Soon.
America: TURD WORLD BROKE NATION OF NOTHING AND SERIAL CROOKS, LIARS AND THEIVES.
Payback. Nevermore.

Looks like Keith blocked the profile pics. I guess I did look as bad as they say..
Hey, doesn't the Constitution say that We the People have a right to congregrate peacefully. Then why are the cops clearing the streets?
We will one day have to realize that protests > quick car ride home. Blocking the streets has value.
"...Capitalism is not to blame for this crisis. It was the intereference with capitalism that caused this crisis, not capitalism."
The last words of the last capitalist as the guilatine blade falls
How many people are you willing to kill if the answer is zero and you only want to hold up a sign then sit the f*ck down and keep getting raped.
So Keith, to echo Vanilla Ice, are you gonna be there?
I sometimes feel futile at the protest marches I go to. I'm just a speck, an ant in the mass of humanity. What does my presence and shouting and sign-waving do? But then I realise that if I stayed home, and everybody else did too, TPTB would take that as a sign of my accession to what they do. By putting my body in the street, hopefully with thousands of others, it's a sign that the ants are restless. Enough ants, maybe the elephants will get worried. It's better than sitting in front of the 'puter and whingeing.
So Keith -- I hope you'll go to a march. At least stand on the footpath and watch. You might not agree with all the people there -- there's a lot of lunatic causes at everything -- but if you talk to other activist -- ask THEM about gold! -- you'll learn things. And one person participating equals a dozen blog posts in terms of its impact. Plus you can pat yourself on the back and say "At least I wasn't at home watching the latest retrospective of Jane Goody's life oeuvre."

Making bombs makes jobs, you douche bags! How many people went to work during WWII? The Military Industrial Complex is as much a skiled workers welfare program as it is a corruption scheme...
Did the Greed Machine really think that they were going to be able to take this sort of money from the people and get away with it .
I use to write a long time ago that the people would eventually
tear down the walls of the elite if they started hurting to much .
What did the Power Brokers Expect
