I agree with Baldwin about pot. I think prohibition works. Some Muslim countries have outlawed alcohol and drugs and have very stiff punishments for their use. As a consequence these countries such as Saudi Arabia have low rates of use. Don't cite to me about Iran and its problems with drugs. They are not that strict about drugs as they are about alcohol. They leave the drug addicts alone; they do not imprison them, although they execute drug smugglers. Also Iran is adjacent to Afghanistan where opium flourishes. Baluchistan, a province of Iran, is notorious for drug-growing and smuggling activities.

I ran into him at arrivals at La Guardia in 06. It was kind of weird, even though he had sunglasses and a hat on I came face to face with him in a crowd and knew instantly who he was, and he knew I knew and turned the other way.

I don't care what people do to hurt themselves but we all know it is US, the responsible non-drug taking taxpayer who has to pay for the welfare costs of children who are neglected, or abused by their metamphetamine-addicted parents. THAT'S why drug use should be illegal. Because it hurts the innocent. If the drug addicts wanted to create their own nation exclusively for themselves with no financial ties to anyone else and take drugs all day long, I will be all for it. I do not care about people who want to hurt themselves and I hope they take as much drugs as they can and want to have so that it kills them.

If you can say yes to any of these questions then you can't call yourself a 'non-drug taking taxpayer'.
