Now that Sarah Palin is whoring herself out to Fox News, is anyone watching the border with Russia?
I mean, at any moment, we may be looking at Red Dawn 2.

For a while, bashing former President George W. Bush seemed the best strategy for any Democrat who wanted to win an election.

Bush bashing no longer works. Voters have tired of the constant liberal mantra that all the problems facing American today are Bush's fault.
Time to find someone new to blame.
The problem, of course, is that after three years in controls of Congress and one year in the White House, the Democrats may have no one to blame but themselves.

Think of continued disapproval for the president leading into 2012. Think of a continued Recession. Think of a Depression... Now imagine her on the ballot, and trust me, she imagines herself on the ballot already. What's the likelihood that some people (stupid as they may be) will vote for her, just out of spite?
Its a scary thought, but we're not dealing with the brightest people here in the states. Generation of "pick the lesser of two evils" has been engraved in our minds and some people are just vindictive.
Take for example Obama winning at all. Many people voted for him over Hillary in the primaries just because they hated Hillary, and not because they liked Obama.
In any case, I think Palin left her post as governor to make a solid attempt at becoming president in 2012.
We can all laugh at her now, but don't underestimate her. She had solid appeal to folks and still does.
Only time will tell.

Unfortunately, Ray, when I worked in San Francisco, the families of patients would often bring in packages of steamed pork buns for us nurses. While they were a diversion from my all-time favourite medstaff bribe, the buns were usually of the lowest quality -- gummy dough, miniscule amounts of fatty pork and gristle, frequently the days-old dreck from whatever restaurant that family member worked at. (Sorry to be ethnically labeling here, but a lot of Chinese people are cheapasses, even when they're being generous.) Put me right offa char siu bao. When I go out for Asian up here, I go for pho.

Well put! And somebody else posted that Americans do elect stupid candidates. When she was recently asked if she regrets coming across in her interviews as not being informed (in other words stupid), Palin said: "I don't worry about what they say about me, coz Americans shoot down their arguments immediately."
What she meant was: "Americans are more stupid than me, so they won't see it when I say stupid things!"
