Sean Hannity admits the truth. His supporters, the Tea Baggers, are simply "Tim McVeigh Wannabes". Wow.

Pretty sick to see the audience cheer at that one. You know, instead of recoiling in horror. Instead of booing. Instead of walking out in droves.

Tim McVeigh - hero of the right? The Original Tea Bagger? Are you serious? Are we no longer Americans?

At this rate folks, they won't be simply "wannabes".

No, I'm afraid, soon, they'll be the real thing.

Dead innocent women and babies. Assassinated politicians. Domestic terrorist bombings. Militia crazies doing their thing.

Why? Because Fox News, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Dick Armey and the rest of their ilk called for it. Encouraged it. Asked for it by name.

I think they did it for the money. I think scum like Hannity and Beck simply sold their souls for a buck. But soon enough, they'll have (even more) blood on their hands. And you have to wonder, at that point, will they have any shame?

Don't hold your breath.

Greed and God: the two threads that unite the teabaggers. "I got mine, so f*ck you."

These 'baggers don't want the gov't to take a dime of their hard earned tax dollars (unless it's for defense spending - awesome!), because, quite simply, they are greedy bastards. They are absolutely not their brother's keeper. They don't care about their fellow man. They empathize with no one but their own families. It's raw tribalism, catering to the worst instincts in human beings. Total unfettered greed.

And God. Oh yes, they are absolutely convinced there's a man on a throne in Heaven and that he's on their side. And Earth is something like 6k years old. The fact that Jesus preached tolerance and love for fellow man? Ignore that part. Doesn't fit in the narrative.

The hubris and utter stupidity of these ignorant villagers would be funny if they weren't so violent and self-righteous. Greed and God get us Oklahoma City, Terry Schiavo, GWB, and Rick Santorum.

Empathy and science get us ahead. History has proven it again and again and again.

I truly find it odd that 'christian' republicans are so for the rich, so for corporations, so against the poor, so against the needy, so against the sick, so into themselves, and so unkind to their neighbors and fellow man.

Bottom line - they're not christians. They may call themselves that, but they're as anti-jesus as you can possibly get. And they make me sick.

The only difference between these domestic right-wing militia groups and the Islamic fascists that we (rightfully) vilify is that the fascists actually have the balls to carry out their idiotic plans.

Timmy McVeigh aside, most of these rednecks (and let's be clear, that's what the fuck they are) are impotent cowards with gun fetishes.

I hope its stays that way, I really do.

I am all for helping people help themselves . Second chances and opportunities made availiable . But perpetual lazy freeloaders with an attitude of entitlement , I find it hard to have compassion for ,after a hard days work . By the way Jesus said that if a man will not work he will not eat . Many of these people have been on welfare even when the economy was booming and we had to bring in foreign workers to fill the labour shortage . So send us some of your euros keith to feed some of these bums you care so much about.

As much as I despise Sean Hannity, I think you've taken him out of context here. It appears he was taking a swipe at another pundit who made the McVeigh connection.

Having said that . . . at the rate at which he and Beck and Palin are going in stirring up blind idiotic rage, you're right that they'll have blood on their hands eventually.

Oh my god, I hate that picture Keith. I am almost crying in the middle of my fucking class because of it right now.

Fuck all of you who think that what that photo represents is in any way good or decent or emblematic of the work of a patriot. If you hate America that much, then kill yourself before you go killing innocent people, innocent children, for fuck's sake.

Tim McVeigh was a monster, and anyone who disagrees is one too.

Tim McVeigh was a pathetic coward who murdered children because he couldn't handle a military career and he had to blame SOMEONE. Anyone who admires or emulates him is criminally insane at best and therefore should be institutionalized. These people are not Christians. They are not Americans. They are barely even human. They are simply thugs. And that includes Hannity, Beck, and all their ilk. Blood on their hands indeed.

You do realize, of course, that Hannity's point was NOT that his audience or the tea party folks ARE "Tim McVeigh wannabes" but that that is how they are wrongly and unjustly portrayed by MSNBC and the crazy left wing blogs.

Nice job making his point.

Hannity's actually one of the dullest tools in the shed. Yet he suckered you.

Even though Sean may have been attempting to use sarcasm to make a point, he needs to remember that the collective I.Q. of his fans is less than his shoe size. All they heard was Tim McVeigh Yeahhh!

Apparently Keith doesn't understand sarcasm. That's typical. He doesn't understand economics either. He also doesn't know how to think critically, which is why he gets a tingle going up his leg every time Soetoro speaks.

i think this is all we need for mr. hannity and his ilk to be tried for sedition. throw him, palin, beck, etc in jail. lose the key.

mcveigh was brought up treason charges, iirc, as well as mass murder.

Another Daily Koz zombie talking point. Compassion is NOT stealing from your friends and neighbors at GUNPOINT or voting for people that do it on your behalf. There is no compassion where coercion is involved.

Oh and BTW, corporations give more to Democrats than to Republicans. You'd know that if you knew how to think critically and do a google search.

They had a word for those sorts of people in Biblical times: "Pharisees." That was the Jewish ruling class in Roman-era Judea; the outwardly pious ones who did the money-changing at the temple and condemned those who did not toe the official line. They were the people who the historical figure known to us as Jesus was railing against.

The other "Good News" is that there's an entire generation of home schooled scientists and mathematicians in the USA who will ensure this country never advances as quickly as India, China, Japan and Korea. There are other things that kill hope, Keith, besides incompetent leadership and hthe lightning quick destruction of wealth. It's called ignorance combined with bronze age superstition and fear.

As of Wednesday, more than 30 governors had received letters saying if they don't leave office within three days they will be removed, according to an internal intelligence note by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. The note was obtained by The Associated Press.

The FBI expects all 50 governors will eventually receive such letters.

Wow Keith,

Great post above. These bastards are self centered pigs. I think the Christian thing is a wall they use to hide behind.

To the dorks who claim
Hannity was using sarcasm:

He was obviously being sarcastic. Keith, you're getting weirder and weirder.

edd browne said...

If sarcasm is claimed, then
the reference must be in the
recent past.
For the 8-minute clip, there was
no reference to anchor any "sarcasm".

Maybe some statement was made
at some time for sarcasm to survive muster,
but Hannity lost that option with delay too long.

Even if the reference had been a just a
minute prior, it was highly improper to make
light of "Tim McVeigh wannabe's", partly
since they are out there, and partly because
of the dead and maimed children.

I believe it was an attempt at sarcasm. But you don't joke about that shit. Ever. Never.

But it's expected from a dickhead like Hannity. What really disappointed me though was the reaction of the right wing crowd.

No loud audible gasps.

No boos.

Nobody stood up and shouted him down.

Nobody walked out.

No, they cheered.

Wildly.

They f*cking cheered.

I don't care what party you're from, what side you're on. When a gasbag makes light of Oklahoma City, and heaps false praise (or real praise) on Timothy McVeigh, you LOUDLY object.

Every time.

No exceptions.

But I know that's asking too much from tea baggers, fox news viewers and hannity supporters.

They sold what was left of their cold hard souls long ago.
