Poor people should live in mansions. Yup, I can see the logic in that. Brilliant.

"You don't have to have a lousy home for first time home buyers!"

"If you put your mind to it, the first time home buyer, the low income home buyer, can have just as nice a home as anyone else!"

-George W. Bush, announcing to the world the start of the Great Housing Ponzi Scheme, and what would of course end up being the Great World Financial Crisis, October 2002

Hey folks, after not paying a mortgage for twelve full months, I finally made a huge payment to Chase. But only because I want to string them along. I paid $9000. But that is only a small fraction of what I owe them.

I know for a fact that they don't want to foreclose on me because they already have several properties that they took over and they can't sell them. Thus they have no freaking incentive to take over another property. At least for now, they can pretend that my house isn't bank owned. Otherwise, if they do, it just adds to their inventory and that is the last thing they want!

I think this country is going to shit. Even if I lose my job and my home, at least I can say "I had one hell of a time".

For example, I sleep on a large California sized Tempurpedic memory foam mattress. The mattress was sold for $5500. It is one hell of a mattress. And guess what? You idiot HP'ers/Sashers are paying for it! HA, HA, HA. You see, I bought that mattress four years ago on my Bank of America Visa credit card and I haven't paid one thin red cent. So if a borrower doesn't pay, the creditor (Bank of America) has to write down the loan, and because they have too many of these bad loans, they are going to pass it off to the Bad Bank that is about to be established and who is that Bad Bank owned by? That would be you, the hard working, productive tax payer!

Once the government has a hold of all of these so called "bad loans", "bad mortgages" "bad credit card debt", etc... what do you think Barney Frank, Nancy Pelossi, Barack Obama, etc... will want to do? Well they can't resist, so they will advocate either forgiving those loans or write them down.

You HP'ers/Sashers are:

SUCKERS!!!!

DOPES !!!!

DOLTS !!!!!

Next time, borrow more than you can afford and then don't pay it.

Of course it took a Euro news agency to do any actual research and bankground on this. . .Svensk??

Bush was right about one thing - equal opportunity foreclosures. . .just the thing, don't you think??

With all due sensitivity, who gives a flying f*** about minority homeownership!

If you can't tote the note, you don't deserve the house.

Bush never gave a sh*t about the poor or whether they have a home or a shelter. What he meant was the more mansions are removed from the market, the more money his friends make and the more he and his criminal gang in Congress get from the fat cats. And that's what they mean by "trickle down" economics!

Despite all the name-calling, I like Nick's honesty. This is the way it is folks. Look at it and realize this is America now. Unfortunately some of us (such as myself) just don't have the right psychology to follow his time-tested-and-proven advice of "borrow-buy-never repay". We the suckers have been hardwired for "save-invest-never-borrow" instead. The only recourse I take comfort in is converting saved FRNs into hard assets. You can't debase my gold with a few button pushes on computer terminal like you can with a USD. You can't charge property/excise taxes on it (yet!), you can't lend it to somebody else, and you can't charge income or capital gains tax on it either, at least so long as I never sell it. It's removed from the system.. well unless an executive order declares otherwise..

And so it came to pass, in a city named Houston, that a company called ENRON enlisted the services of The Most Glorified Wizards of Wall Street to devise and develop deceptive accounting and investment schemes of such an abominable nature that an epidemic of corruption spread throughout the land culminating in an orgy of unprotected Financial Fornication of its citizenry...

'Hard working productive tax payers'

Try millionaires who don't pay taxes.

Sorry charlie- you're fooked like it or not. Sure you got some free cheese. But you are still a fooked debt slave / working class stiff.

The upper class has you pwned hands down.

Last laugh is on you... sorry!

A perfect human being.

A greater father.

A perfect role model.

The greatest President.

Ever.

Perfect. Spotless. Faultless.

And always, always right on every issue.

Abandon-ship!

But captain Oblacula wants to stay the course, full speed ahead......

Why not just say, to "hell with it" and fire everyone in government that we don't really need for essentials, let all the crappy banks and greedy corporations fail, maybe trim-back military spending about 50%.

Maybe, just maybe, we don't really need all these blood-sucking parasitic leaches feasting-on our kindness, generosity, guilt and naiveté.

In other words, screw the scum bastards, no apologies needed.

Ummm..ok...are you gonna let those unemployed hordes come and live with you at your house? Ok, hope your cupboards are full, cause they're all gonna be looking for dinner in a couple hours.

Reminds me of that speech on December 16, 2003, when former President Bush declared:

"This Administration will constantly strive to promote an ownership society in America. We want more people owning their own home. It is in our national interest that more people own their own home. After all, if you own your own home, you have a vital stake in the future of our country."

Nick, umm, if Chase is such your bitch in this situation, why would you send them $9,000 (regardless of what that represents to the total amount due)??

If Chase is quaking in their boots and even their most hard core collectors wet their pants over the prospect of having to phone you about your past due mortgage (as your "master debtor of the universe" post implies), why would you send them $9,000?

Just doesn't compute, son, or maybe I'm just too old to understand??

Smug Bastard

Hey, it got him re-elected didn't it?

Nick makes a good point: If you make every other payment, you can string the bank along for a LONG time. I've seen it done.

With all due respect, FOOD STAMPS. If you don't think there's going to have to be drastic measures before this is all done, sorry, not my problem.

The Obama message to us was to limit White House pay to $100,000 and then add 600,000 more federal jobs. Thanks, but, no-thanks.

Pay you're people what they are worth, but the first rule is, when you're digging yourself into a hole, is to stop digging.

Look at California, I predict there will be drastic measures any day now, very drastic, and whom, but our public "servants" to sacrifice, like our great leader wants us all to do.......

I predict a California situation nation-wide, soon. Cut the extra baggage now, trim the fat, etc.

Plenty-of food stamps for ex-government employees, of course you'll have to keep the food stamp bureau employed.

And who's going to pay for all those food stamps?

Hmmm???

Good for you Nick!!! I'm glad you have this mattress. It will be comfortable under the bridge in Downtown when they kick your butt our of the house.

Even if I lose my job and my home, at least I can say "I had one hell of a time".
Exactly! You are ready to lose and you will. That's for sure.
Your life is done, it's over. That's it! Loser.

Is your wife still eating out in an upscale Indian restaurant? :)

"The ownership society" sounds like "the great leap forward" for me.

Whenever you hear some grand social objective out of the politicians, watch out.

I guess the slogan of the day is "Energy Independence".

I told my friends I will give up my passport for an American one when someone like Ron Paul becomes president. So before that happens, hang on to your foreign passport.
