Rick Santelli, mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore, goes off and threatens on live TV to organize an anti-government riot in Chicago in July

"'The government is promoting bad behavior. Do we really want to subsidize the losers' mortgages. This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage? President Obama are you listening? How about we all stop paying our mortgage! It's a moral hazard!!!"

This is purely great. My hats off to MR. Santelli. No I do not want to pay my neighbor's mortgage. Why the f*ck should I. I will be more then happy to be in chicago in July.

What Obama does not realize that his already poor choices is making reponsible citizens closer to civil unrest.

Rick Santelli and Mark Haines are the only two worth watching on that channel. I can't stand Steve Liesman and Larry Kudlow.

After watching Obama yesterday - I was riled up - ranting to anyone who would listen - it was nice to see I wasn't alone and that the constitution, contracts and free markets still mean something to some people.

I had a problem with what Santelli said about 'buying up the houses and giving them to people who might prosper down the road.'

He was down on anyone and everyone who was below water, period. Some people get sick, some people die, things can happen. Those people are not losers whom will always fail as Santelli ust said, and make no mistake- he meant that for all of them with no eception.

I hope that folks take in everything that this guy ust said instead of ust listening to one or two sentences. He might be against the bail-out too, but he is still a loser.

After years of putting up with the BS from the likes of Jim Cramer and Maria Bartiskanko, this was a refreshing change. Awesome video, and the anger is just going to keep rising until we throw the banksters out of their high rise windows.

Impeach the Muslim.

We should spam CNBC with emails in support of Santelli and demand that he and the floor traders be allowed to speak directly to America without being scripted. CNBC has the clip on their front page with a link to the video.

You can bet the phones are ringing off the hook at CNBC.

10th Amendment Bill in Texas House!

"Brandon Creighton, the State Representative from.... Conroe, has filed a 10th Amendment Bill in the Texas House claiming state sovereignty over non-enumerated Constitutional powers. The libs are in an uproar, and Creighton is literally being stopped in the hallways of the Capitol by other legislators who want to sign on as co-sponsors."

Go Texas. It may be my future home if they can keep this going.

So why not pay the mortgage too?

Couldn't agree more with everything Rick Santelli (and Mark Haines) says. We have become a nation of self entitles whiners. Yes some people will lose a home due to unfortunate circumstances. This has always happened and will continue to happen. We have more than enough safety nets for these people, albeit they may loose their nice car and plasma TV, but they will always have food and some form of shelter.

The majority of people who got in trouble did it because of pure greed. They thought they were smarter (savvy, sophisticated, etc.)and were going to use a house as an investment vehicle. The fools need to be taught a painful lesson.
The only people suffering now are the responsible adults who saved and can now get no return on their savings because we have to lower interest rates to zero for these savvy morons

both my wife and i work and make decent money.

i refuse to buy a house based on both of our incomes. i buy based on one income in case one of us gets sick, dies or something happens.

if i could not afford a house based on one income i would do what i am doing now...rent.

it's called being a prudent person.

Just wrote Obama a quick letter saying the same thing. I bought a small house, save money every month-while others I know bought larger houses that they could not afford. That doesn't entitle them to be homeowners if they don't have the income. When bad things happen the grownups in the family are supposed to adjust, not stand on the front porch and cry to CBS that their lives are ruined because they have to leave their granite behind. Bankrupting your entire family so that you can have granite, travertine and hickory to be "as good as" the neighbors, is the same as crying for Nike tennis shoes in the 9th grade because all the other kids have them.

Capitalism is based on risk. If you make the wrong call, you lose, but it works if people are rational and make good, prudent decisions with their lives.

Until this country gets over its obsessive/compulsive disorder with "owning a house" we are all going down together.

What a disappointment Obama has turned out to be. This looks more and more like a continuation of Bushes presidency. Things are not that simple my friend. I bought a house that I could not afford, I saw it's value and thus my equity zoom up in value. Thus I took out cash and spent it on stuff. My home is like a Sharper Image museaum! I stimulated the economy via my spending. I provided jobs to people via my spending. Boy, did I have a great time or what? In the summer of 2005 my wife bought boots for $1600 on Michigan Avenue! We had one hell of a time spending the home equity money!

-There is good debt and bad debt.
-It's all about managing your debt.
-Living within your means is stupid.
-We deserve the upgrades. Cash out.
-We had to go all the way to San Fran in order to get just the perfect dining table.
-Off to Europe on our equity. Toodles!!!

this tard rants and raves and trades everyday. he participates in the fraud. he swims in the same waters as the thieves do and he makes his living from the fraud by trading. yet he bitches about the people in his business, who are crooks. he is part of the problem. he takes money from the beast. therefore how can he complain about what the beast does?

# The entire last two decades of so-called "Economic Growth" has been fueled by one fraud after another, starting with the Internet Bubble.
# This fraud has been systematic and the mainstream media has been both an implicit and explicit enabler of these frauds, instead of doing its job, which is to root them out. The looks on the faces of the other CNBC "anchors" was one of abject fear - perhaps parts of "The Fourth Estate" is coming to realize that when the pitchforks and torches come out - and they certainly will if we hold the course we're on - they might have some trouble explaining why they shouldn't be near the head of the list of those being "sought"?
# The conflicts of interest in the media, where their advertising dollars come from those who are promulgating and profiting from these frauds means that they must choose between their job of protecting the public (their essential purpose under The First Amendment) and being a willing accomplice in the theft being performed by the prime actors in these frauds.
# With the exception of a few months around 1995 (which roughly coincided with Microsoft's release of Win/95, the first "consumer" system of wide acceptance that had a dialer built in along with a web browser) the Internet NEVER doubled in size every three months. Yet this was paraded as the statistic to justify all the bubble companies up until the bubble burst in the spring of 2000. I was one of hundreds if not thousands of people with access to the core of the network and KNEW this was a lie. Nobody would report the truth. Proof? Read all about it:

1) Santelli and his bosses at CNBC realize he hit a nerve, and like Olbermann and MSNBC did with Bush take the rage and runs with it

Or I guess:

3) Santelli silenced by the REIC tonight. Rock through the window or head of the horse treatment.

So we are going to bribe the debtors $1,000 a year for 5 years to make their payments on time??????

Why? So they can pay off their credit cards?

Then I was visiting seekingalpha, as I often do, and found a link not only to Santelli's rant but also to a highly critical article on the Columbia Journalism Review.

What is interesting is that almost all the comments on the CJR website went against the article and defended Santelli.

Also, the seekingalpha article only appeared in the 'breaking news' section at 7:02pm and by 8:30pm 9 people had commented - this is extremely unusual for an article in the 'breaking news' section of seekingalpha. And almost all the comments defended Santelli.

He certainly seems to have struck a chord.

aneZ-

You made a reply to me that has nothing at all to do with what I was talking about so I will go over it again with you-

Rick Santelli proclaimed that EVERYONE who was in financial trouble were both losers and that they would NEVER prosper.

Not only that, but they should have their homes taken away from them RIGHT NOW and handed to anyone who was not eperiencing any kind of trouble because, in his eyes, they are the only ones that can possibly be redeemed.

That was a broad statement, and that was what I have a problem with.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you missed that from the video when you didn't even read my comment.

'Hey, Maria, your impassioned rant was definitely cheapened by the fact that you don't understand the difference between "who" and "whom". Go look it up. Hint: who = subject, whom = object. You're welcome!'

ust so we have this covered- I don't support paying for other people's mortgages. I myself don't have any debt whatsoever, and gain 0 from the debacle going on here.

At the same time I don't believe that people who are in serious trouble because of death or illness in the family 'will never prosper' and are 'losers' as Santelli described. Sorry.

Beware of siding with the devil simply because he says some of the things you want to hear. I think that is eactly what you're doing.

Where is Keith and the rest of the Obama worshippers? Funny. Last year, any mention of a housing gambler bailout, they would go nuts with their BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) placing total blame for any attempted bailout on him and claiming he was the worst president of all time.
But now one month into the Obama presidency, not only does he ram 800 billion in kickbacks and pork down our throats and tried to call it a stimulus package, but now he's ramming a housing gambler bailout bill down our throats as well.
But its becoming clear they still believe Obama is the magic negro who was delivered from the heavens to fix all the worlds problems. And to justify this delusion, they will blame anyone else they can to deflect blame away from Obama. They'll blame congress. They'll blame big business. They'll blame some NWO conspiracy. Anything to deflect blame away from Obama as long as they can.
Want to see something really comical? Go back to the old housing panic site mainpage. Every other article was Obama worshiping and how he's going to fix the world.

This plan is going to divide America for good, but this time it's going to be a strange mix--we're no longer going to see the usual divide between liberals and conservatives, but between those who benefit and those who don't; those who hoped they'd qualify but didn't, and those who qualified but shouldn't have; those who deserved a reward but got nothing, and those deserved to be punished but got rewarded instead!

This economic crisis is turning out to be a real eye-opener. Many Americans who have been fooled by their leaders for so long are beginning to see the light.

I can safely say that this recipe-for-disaster plan will erode the base that brought the Dems back to power. I also believe that both parties stand to lose on this, as Americans are slowly realizing that neither party has the power, or the foresight, to shed its corrupt and self-serving old habits and lead America out of this quagmire.

Santelli's rant is a good sign, but unless the people rise up and demand equity, there won't be any change in the way Washington conducts the country's business.

Santelli's outburst, if it's at all genuine, is a good illustration of the silent majority's outrage, but like many others before him, that lone voice will be drowned in the sea of the usual MSM lethargy, ignorance and cowardice.

You wondered before why Americans no longer take to the streets to express their anger. I figured that part of the problem is this magic tool we're now using to communicate. The internet has become our street!

So if you are expecting wild protests in LA or Chicago or DC, you may have to wait until the day this crisis triggers irreversible, widespread blackouts, to the point that the sheeple are forced to walk away from their PCs and their plasma screens, take to the streets, and try to do something about this nonsense.

The guy has no grit, and it's after the fact, he's a faker. I didn't grow-up in the worst neighborhood in the world, but we were all close enough to "realize" when someone was really pissed about something. And this dude is playing a game with you.

I was also looking around today at the place I have moved to and the people here are very weak looking. Almost as if the idea of, lets say about 500,000 Chinese invaded us, then we'd have no hope at all of defending ourselves, oh wait, there's already 20 million illegals just waiting to kill most Americans in this country, maybe?

The USA has been so PC'd that I think we'll even stop reproducing, because the white man is killing trees and the liberated women actually believe this sh*t. The USA is for the taking and we invite our death upon us.

Strange how it works, but if we were really strong, we wouldn't put up with any-of this sh*t. Not the bail-outs, not the stimulus, not anything that doesn't make us a better and stronger nation.

I also hate to say this, but I have seen the "colored" people go completely berserk when they all started doing crack back in the 80"s, the city I was from had the highest per-capita murder rate in the nation for several years. I'm not talking about them going to junior college or trade school, I'm talking about mass murder, when the other options were available.

I can't solve most problems but a few of my own and even then it's very difficult, but the Federal Government seems to think they have Godly powers, and can solve everyones problems, simply by spending money, sorry, it can't be done, as far as I know.

Thank you, no apologies.

Statement below was sent to me today by a business associate ... it sums up the issues most americans face today.. read it twice....
"

"I am scared though. I bought this house two years ago (company transfer) and today it worth 20% less, unemployed trying to start my own business. Homes aren't selling and banks aren't lending. All I can do is keep dippin' into my retirement at a penalty, and hope things change before I piss away 25 years of savings, which is worth 40% less than it was a year ago. Did I say ouch! Head down, keep working so I can dig myself out of this because the government is going to spend a trillion dollars, on I don't know what??? Novel concept - do something rather than waiting for the bailout. Ok, I am off my soapbox."

ALERT KEITH!!
ALERT SAHERS!!

Web petition to bring Bush to justice. Go to:

prosecutegeorgebush.com

In there you have a list of 2200 prosecutors. Check it out and write to the one nearest to you. Everything is in there: Addresses, phone numbers, books on Bush crimes at a discount, the petition, etc, etc.

If we want this country to raise up again, Bush must be prosecuted. The domino effect goes from there. We'll have Cheney, Rumsfeld, Dodd, Frank, our Mozilo, plus the obvious criminals and more.

Without this, Obama, Rahm, Geithner, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the gang can keep doing what they are doing with total disregard for the American people and no fear of retribution.

Bringing Bush to justice is the best stimulus for America now. It will open the way to prosecute dozens and dozens down the road, including Obama, for any wrongdoings!

Obama knows that. AND THAT'S WHY HE'LL NEVER CONSENT TO BUSH'S PROSECUTION. IT'S UP TO YOU NOW... TO BRING THE USURPED POWER BACK TO THE PEOPLE AND SAVE AMERICA FROM ITS CORRUPT LEADERS.

Rick and the rest of the 'markets' do not complain so much when the Government bails out corporations. When the Government moves to help people - Just re-writing a loan at a very low cost. Well, that is unacceptable. I suppose he would prefer if the 50 billion in the 'people' plan were put back into the 'corporation' plan. I don't like either bailout. But, if we are going to print money and hand it out. I think a very small portion of it should land directly on people and not the corporations. Just a little bit. And, that is what this is - small in comparison.

Cheers for Rick Santelli a real champion of the free market and personal resonsibility.

Years ago, I watched CNBC regularly, for a long time. Then as now, Rick Santelli stood out from the rest on that show. He's for real.

For centuries the question of "why bad things happen to good people?" has be bandied about. We respond with answers about fate, karma, God's plan and the catch all about having faith.

Now the question seemingly becomes "why do good things happen to bad people?" It's more than moral hazard. The whole freaking thing is being turned upside down. The world I believed in consisted of justice, fairness, reward, progress and hope. Now I find out that this world does not exist. I can honestly say that I now hate Obama and what he (and Congress) are doing. I see the American flag pin on his lapel and it sickens me.

You were the chosen one (yes, star wars):

You don't have the cash, really, until you sell the house.

(Bloomberg) -- Microsoft Corp.’s plan to eliminate U.S. workers after lobbying for more foreigner visas is stirring resentment among lawmakers and employees.

As many as 5,000 employees are being shown the door at Microsoft, which uses more H1-B guest-worker visas than any other U.S. company. Some employees and politicians say Microsoft should get rid of foreigners first.

Across the technology industry, some of the biggest users of H1-B visas are cutting jobs, including Intel Corp., International Business Machines Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. The firings at Microsoft, the world’s largest software maker, came less than a year after Chairman Bill Gates lobbied Congress for an expansion of the visa program.

Microsoft is hiring 2,000 to 3,000 workers over the next 18 months, offsetting the job cuts. Some of those will certainly be on H1-B visas, said Ginny Terzano, a spokeswoman for the Redmond, Washington-based company. She declined to comment on how many workers laid off are on visas.

Boycott Microsoft! Don't buy a damn thing made by them. Screw you, Gates.

Obama is just another(more well spoken) puppet of the bankster eilte. Note that the wars continue on, the bailout train keeps rolling, and his staff is all old school DC "insiders". So much for a "fresh start".

The MSM is their "office of propoganda and fear".

That is why all the MSM folks (in the clip) are trying to make this "true patriot" who is speaking for ALL OF US, seem like a nutjob.

Keep playing video games
Keep watching brainless TV shows
Keep taking your vaccines
Keep taking your drugs
Keep consuming

And most of all...stay inside the "reality" that is provided for all of you sheeple.

If this actually becomes reality I will be in Chicago for it.

Rick Santelli deserves a medal and commands respect from all of us. He may be the best journalist in the MSM and is certainly the best on CNBS.

Billions for the bad behavior of loser car companies is OK?

Fuck you Santelli, you should have been saying this since last March.

At least somebody has found a way to stay employed.

Come on Keith. Just give me his IP address and MAC address. Leave the rest to me.

There is no problem!

House prices falling back to its mean is a good thing!

Everyone must stop propping up house prices, it only benefits gamblers.

CAN YOU HEAR ME TABASCO?

THE PROBLEM IS NOT “FALLING HOME PRICES”

THE PROBLEM IS “INSANE HIGH HOME PRICES”

WHAT PART OF “UNAFORDABLE HOME PRICES WILL NEVER FIX THIS MESS”, DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND?

We do not need a freakin solution!

Stop f*cking whining about 2% of the bailout going to help people and not corporations. The cost is $3.5T to corporations: insurance companies, and banks. See http://tinyurl.com/66ktg6

You greedy bastards would be happy if that 2% also went to REIC?

...Wow. I will say it one more time for you- I agree with your CAPSLOCK there. I don't believe that tapayer money is being used correctly, or that it has to be used at all. Paying for mortgages when I rent is a crappy deal. Now... do you guys have that down, maybe read it again and make sure you get it this time.

My problem is with Rick Santellis broad statement or implication that EVERYONE in financial trouble is a 'loser' and that they will never prosper, that we should ust take their belongings away from them today.

Do you see the big freaking difference there now- I'll accept an apology. I did miss it myself when I first watched the video and was in agreement with everyone... but we simply have to be careful of who we cheer for.

The gall of these wall street types, get their bonuses then screw everybody else. At least this would be used to keep working people in their houses, instead of just insuring the wall streeters got their big bonuses, IN ADDITION TO THEIR ALREADY HIGH SALARIES for such a "GOOD JOB" they have all done. And we are finding out now just what they spend all that extra money on! Where was Mr. Santelli when that was going on, did he yell scream stomp and rant then? Of course not, because that benefited his "colleagues", and those who fund his little TV channel, so full of wise prescient sages doling out oh-so-correct information. Follow the money---ALWAYS!
