No, no, no, Keith. You don't get it. Mozillo is an "Executive Thief". They are DIFFERENT. The perception of the general population is that the wealthy are protected. They are the BOSS MEN. They have earned our respect and deference because we are a nation of humps, worker bees, and hacks who have always feared and looked up to the "THE MAN". However they managed to achieve their wealth, we see them as better than us, smarter than us, to be envied and respected and feared. Look at Bernie Madoff. Because he has the patina of wealth, he is much too 'above' the rest of us to sit in a dirty jail cell. He must be gently escorted to his penthouse to await some distant, vague, contrived 'punishment'. Ditto the other tanned, groomed, manicured, French-cuffed executive thieves. Give it up. They are all safe.

and get out while the getting was good .This criminal has been around for a long time and he knew that the paper was junk . This guy reminds me of the type of person that goes to a public beach and litters the area and expects someone else to pick up his crap after he enjoyed a day at the beach .
When his loan junk went bad and he could not find a buyer he started screaming that the government had to do something . His buddy Chris Dodds started the battle-cray for bail-outs for poor home owners that started this BS bail-out crap .
This BS that poor homeowners just wanted a little piece of the American pie is just false . It was a mania ,a investment scheme, that took hold Nationally and it crashed as it should of . Homes were sold as appreciation investments ,not places for long term ownership . Everybody and their brother was lured into the scheme and you were considered "stupid " at the time if you didn't get a creepy low down loan and get in on the investment of the Century .
You can't change the intent of the the buyer of a property and that is why the re-foreclosure rate after loan modification rate was high . People were buying property with the 2 years sell or refinance scheme so they didn't care what kind of loan they went on . Selling/flipping , or getting a new teaser rate was the name of the game . People knew the loan they were getting and the objective was to just get in and profit from the boom . Why not(?)..the stupid lenders were handing out the money with low down payments . The dummies were paying top dollar for shacks and waiting for the greater fool to come along . What a scam .
The Orange Man pumped up the stock on bogus loans and than planned to exit before the crash . A CEO that endorses a fraud or helps promote a fraud on the public ,who should of known what the destructive affect would be ,should go to jail ,especially when the motive was to benefit himself . Evil evil dude ,the GRAND FLEECER .
I cannot believe this guy is still on the streets.Arrest him and watch the market rally 500 points.there should be a trillion dollar bounty on his ass.

What crime, exactly, did Mozillo commit? Since when is it a crime to take money from a sucker? That has been happening since we first crawled out of the ooze and shed our tails. In this grifter society it's almost considered a crime NOT to take a fool's money. And it's not like we haven't been warned. The old chestnuts are out there to be heard and heeded. "Caveat Emptor", "A fool and his money are soon parted." "There's a sucker born every minute and two to take him." "Karma is a bitch" etc etc etc. We knew what we were doing.
