Gordon Brown is destroyed by his fellow countryman at the European Parliament - "You have run out of our money"

Well, at least he didn't call him an ignorant slut.

Or a monkey.

If we had any real Press in the U.S., Dr. Feelgood might get questions similar to this at White House press conferences. Instead we get shuffle-n-jive responses to pre-arranged softball questions from hand-picked stooges in the media.

The elite are trying hard to defend themselves in all western countries.

In related news our "elite" have worked their magic on Obama and our elected officials as now it looks like the AIG scumbags are gonna be allowed to keep their bonuses.

They just wanted to wait for the anger to subside.

I have one question, with a clear majority of the people up in arms over this, why did the Senate kill the bill that would have taxed the bonuses at 90% and essentially let the criminals run free?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/
2009032/ap_on_go_co/bailout_bonuses

Who do our elected officials work for?

If the answer was not obvious before it should be coming into better focus.....

I am looking for the vidoeo now. He has been recorded stating that he is now more a Ron Paul supporter for the US even though he was an Obama supporter. This guy is great.

Keith learn from this man please.

This is an economic Declaration of Independence. Gordon Brown's smirk makes me wonder if King George III also laughed when he was read the colonist's July 4 proclamation.

"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with one another . . . they should declare the causes which imple them to separation."

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same objection, evidences a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, IT IS THEIR DUTY, to throw off such government and provide new Guards for their security. . ."

http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm

Daniel Hannan's speach echo's the exact same sentiments expressed by colonist almost 233 years ago.

Democrats and Republicans, Labor and Conservatives have failed us all.

F*ck I wish there was an American politician that was channeling the rage that was out there. Too bad Bush is gone, because man, he'd be in hell right about now.

Ron Paul just didn't have the fire in his belly. Maybe he was too old. Maybe he was too polite.

But at this point we need a hero. Someone in the GOP to stand up against their corrupt party, and also Reid and Pelosi

Anyone? Anyone?

The Britishcano economy is tanked, roasted like a hedgehog skewered on a green bamboo spit over a fire.

Why? Because the Britishcano speculator is just as irresponsible, greedy, materialistic, immoral, ignorant, pompous, hoity-toity, self-righteous, as Americano.

So is the Britishcano economy toasted or what?

Will Joe-Pint ‘O Stout and Jane Haggis cash out their lorry equity now? (Haaaaa, haaaaa, haaaaa, LORRY EQUITY...)

What will happen to all those big-ass double-decker buses that drive on the wrong side of the road?

Will the Britishcano be toasted as a hedgehog skewered on a stick from head to ass sizzling nicely on a bed of red hot charcoal?

(With apologies to Mr. Andrew Hac – please come back!)

Keith the longer you act like the man is not involved the more foolish you appear.

Look, you may disagree with me, and many of you do, but you know for damn sure by now I'm honest with you, and call it like I see it

I see the Dems as corrupt and incompetent, led by Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Frank.

I see the Reps as corrupt and incompetent, led by Paulson, Bush, Cheney and, well, nobody. They're dead.

But I see Obama as a good man, incredibly intelligent and grounded, and a person who must be in hell because of the corruption and incompetence of his chosen party.

Yes, I'm worried about him. Not putting Mozilo behind bars is a big, BIG, negative. Keeping Geithner around is a big negative. Being tied to Fannie is disgusting.

But I watch his press conferences, and two-plus years of campaigning against the Clinton machine, and I took a measure of the man.

And I still support him. I'm giving him a chance. Especially compared to McCain and Palin, who were a disaster, and unacceptable.

I think Prime Minister's Questions is on PBS or C-Span on Wednesday nights in the US. Check it out.

The UK doesn't have good governance mainly because of corruption, but on an intellectual level, they're so far above the ignorant idiots infesting the US Congress today it's not funny

This video is just a sampler. And damn, it's good, eh?

"I see Obama as a good man, incredibly intelligent and grounded, and a person who must be in hell because of the corruption and incompetence of his chosen party."

I beg to differ......

If Obama were a "good man," he'd be going full-tilt AGAINST the corruption, rather than cow-towing to it.

Not sure how anyone could argue with that(?)

Point One:
"But I watch his press conferences, and two-plus years of campaigning against the Clinton machine, and I took a measure of the man."

Your right that wasn't jmust polotics since he hired the Clinton Bitch.

Point Two:
"I see the Dems as corrupt and incompetent, led by Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Frank."

And Obamas Admin like Biden and Rahm who is with the rest of the Liberal trash in Washington.

Point Three:
"And I still support him. I'm giving him a chance. Especially compared to McCain and Palin, who were a disaster, and unacceptable."

I did not vote for McCain and Palin. And once again I can argue this based on Obama's record so far without bringing in the opposition. It is a lame argument.

Obama is a liar, thief, manipulator, and a joke. And you have bought and paid for all his bullshit. What is it other than the guy makes you feel good is it about him. How can his admin and his democratic colleagues in congress be worthless but he comes out skeaky clean and not guilty by association as anyone else would be?

Daniel Hannan is now the Iraqi Shoe Thrower here in the UK

A hero has been born.

And maybe a Prime Minister?

F*ck I wish we had a politician with some f*cking stones in the US.

What a wasted opportunity.

I WANT TO SEE SOME F*CKING RAGE AND SOME F*CKING EMOTION, IN ADDITION TO SOME F*CKING PROGRESS. IT'S TIME TO BREAK SOME SH*T. IT'S TIME TO THROW SHOES. IT'S TIME TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER. IT'S TIME TO TEAR DOWN REID AND PELOSI AND DODD AND FRANK AND ANYONE WHO SHOWS UP FROM THE GOP.

Hurrah for Hannan: Brown hasn't been spoken to like that for decades

Dan Hannan's denunciation of Gordon Brown - to his face in the chamber of the European parliament - has become an internet sensation. It's spreading like wildfire, having been drudged and linked to across the Anglosphere. The excitement on the Right as it is passed around is the political equivalent of that moment in the rock biopic when an excited DJ sprints into the studio, throws a 45 on the turntable and says "kids, you gotta hear this!"

I have to go now. Too bad this is gettig good.

Do me a fovor. If you say he is a good man. Back it up! Teach me! I am capable of learning. If you are seeing things that I am not aware of bring it to my attention.

Don't feed me the kool-aid. Dont tell me "But I watch his press conferences, and two-plus years of campaigning" I don't want to here the word "change". Don't tell me you saw him on TV and your third leg grew. Tell me how his admin and policies are doing any good. And leave the S&P out of this.

Tell me how you would sell Schiff, Mish, and others who have explained the problems very clearly that Obama is doing a good job. Is he fixing the basic fundamentals that are broken? No!

I am intersted Keith, to log back on in a couple hours and see if you have anything.

Here's the transcript.

Am I alone, or are you all enjoying this as much as I am.

Brilliant. F*cking brilliant. To his f*cking face. Brilliant.

______

Prime Minister, I see you’ve already mastered the essential craft of the European politician, namely the ability to say one thing in this chamber and a very different thing to your home electorate. You’ve spoken here about free trade, and amen to that. Who would have guessed, listening to you just now, that you were the author of the phrase ‘British jobs for British workers’ and that you have subsidised, where you have not nationalised outright, swathes of our economy, including the car industry and many of the banks? Perhaps you would have more moral authority in this house if your actions matched your words? Perhaps you would have more legitimacy in the councils of the world if the United Kingdom were not going into this recession in the worst condition of any G20 country?

The truth, Prime Minister, is that you have run out of our money. The country as a whole is now in negative equity. Every British child is born owing around £20,000. Servicing the interest on that debt is going to cost more than educating the child. Now, once again today you try to spread the blame around; you spoke about an international recession, international crisis. Well, it is true that we are all sailing together into the squalls. But not every vessel in the convoy is in the same dilapidated condition. Other ships used the good years to caulk their hulls and clear their rigging; in other words – to pay off debt. But you used the good years to raise borrowing yet further. As a consequence, under your captaincy, our hull is pressed deep into the water line under the accumulated weight of your debt We are now running a deficit that touches 10% of GDP, an almost unbelievable figure. More than Pakistan, more than Hungary; countries where the IMF have already been called in. Now, it’s not that you’re not apologising; like everyone else I have long accepted that you’re pathologically incapable of accepting responsibility for these things. It’s that you’re carrying on, wilfully worsening our situation, wantonly spending what little we have left. Last year - in the last twelve months – a hundred thousand private sector jobs have been lost and yet you created thirty thousand public sector jobs.

Prime Minister, you cannot carry on for ever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt. And when you repeat, in that wooden and perfunctory way, that our situation is better than others, that we’re ‘well-placed to weather the storm’, I have to tell you that you sound like a Brezhnev-era apparatchik giving the party line. You know, and we know, and you know that we know that it’s nonsense! Everyone knows that Britain is worse off than any other country as we go into these hard times. The IMF has said so; the European Commission has said so; the markets have said so – which is why our currency has devalued by thirty percent. And soon the voters too will get their chance to say so. They can see what the markets have already seen: that you are the devalued Prime Minister of a devalued government.

I'm not real impressed with Obama.
So far, he's just fluff.
Trying too hard to still be a rockstar, looking good, saying just the right thing. Won't mess his sleeves up.

Time to tuck the wife and kids away where they'll be safe, and start naming names and cutting off some heads.

Very nicely done. Gotta admit, that British accent sure helps too. He did forget to add that douchebag Brown sold of huge amounts of British gold in 1999 at the VERY BOTTOM of the pricing cycle. As Queeferino would say "That's hard to do"

Nice post Alex. I think we are reaching another declaration of independence moment here.

Lorry equity. Mammoth you kill. Bawahaahahahahahahah.

If Obama were a "good man," he'd be going full-tilt AGAINST the corruption, rather than cow-towing to it.

I second this. Obama is not a good man. He's a commie prick spending us further into the poor house. Doing a damn good job of making me forget how bad that useless George W. Bush was.

Anonymous said...

I think you also miss some of the policies Obama is trying to implement. Forced service from young citizens and a three month indoctrination for younger people.

He is trying to disarm the populus through federal licensing requirements. That is the same thing the did in Canada and many people have been convicted of felonies by not complying with the rules and then can never own a gun. He directed DOD to mandate all spent shell casings be shredded instead of being recycled into reloads.

He wants institute new controls on corporate entities. That would be a wholesale takeover of private enterprises.

He basically want a nanny-state combined with a citizen army to enforce his agenda. I, personally would rather be left alone. But then I have been a libertarian since the mid-seventies. I believe in the US Constitution and what it stands for and what Obama and the rest of the political elite doesn't pay particular attention to that document when it doesn't suit their agenda.

I thought spending your way out of a recession is what you were supposed to do.(see Keynes Econ 101) Even David Walker said it was acceptable on Frontline the other night. He's one of our heros right?

This is not the time to cut spending. That comes later.

Are there any economists on this board?

Serious inquires only.

The people only have to blame themselves for this mess. The elite and rich and powerful have triumphed once again. The people were greedy, stupid, selfish and shortsighted.

I don't think the mobs pose any danger to this group. They are only one plane flight away from their holiday hideaway in some resort country or safehaven nation or what not.

We are not living in the eighteenth century any longer where escape for the elite from revolutionary mobs was not easy.

And the security apparatus is in place. There are spy cameras everywhere. Why do they need the KGB and informers like they did in the communist countries? People are electronically shackled. Anything you do - withdraw some money, drive your car on the road, catch the train, take a bus - leave some kind of electronic trace - including CCTV evidence now stored on computer. There are unmanned planes criscrossing the sky with satellite links that record one's every movement. It is an "Enemy of the State" situation that exists at the moment.

And the groups are disorganized too. I see no unification in the dissent. Even the so-called truth movement was hopelessly splintered and unintelligently-led.

Ron Paul got very close to leading something of significance at one point in time ... but alas, he turned out not to be a revolutionary, he didn't want to take the risks himself ... he was content to let others, the true revolutionaries like Schiff (Peter Schiff's dad) and the Brown couple (?? - the dentist and her husband) make the sacrifices and risk everything ... while he did - not much. Even if he wasn't prepared to take risks himself, he could have done a lot more than make the one or two trite comments on television about these people that he did.

And with his wan response to the heroic efforts of these extremists, the flame died, and with it, the hopes of millions of people.

In sum, only a person who is willing to sacrifice and take risks himself or herself, can lead a movement to a successful conclusion.

It is not enough to be in possession of the theoretical understanding of the need for a revolution, as Ron Paul was, one has to be prepared to play dangerously and put oneself out there, as Ron Paul was loathe to do.

Fuck the British, they are the ultimate terrorists. Look at all of the countries they invaded and then looted. Oh and don't tell me "oh, but they did so much good too". Well Al Capone and Osama Bin Laden do good as well (along with their evil acts). The British are scum and they deserve to go down.

By the way, wtf is with Obama's budget proposal Keith? You would be all over anyone else that proposed this crap. By the way all of the "corupt dems" that you think need to go down. Here is more proof Obama is in good with those guys.

The, Obama is cool, he is not corupt, he is getting a rotten deal is bogus. His budget show exactly what he is made of.

What could Ron Paul do? People did not want to vote him. People were still partying it up and spending their HELOC money.

Timing is critical. A great man has to wait for his chance for world events (such as revolutions) to happen.

The English politicians are good orators -they're the show ponies of speaking. Prancing around and posturing is par for the course for these guys.-Brown wasn't fazed by a whipper snapper like Hannan (even though he has an exceptional clarity).....he was smurking.

He knew, that despite his opponents insightfulness and bravado, that he lacks the status quo momentum and kudos projected by his own thrifty Scottish persona. An illusion...but an effective illusion non the less;- given the conditioning to the acceptance of disnformation of the general populice he deals to...I mean with.

Like you, Keith, I believe Obama is a good man. I voted for him (assuming my absentee ballot got counted) but I never had HIGH hopes. I paid attention to what he was saying during the campaign, and knew that he was a centrist. He was going to try to SAVE the system, not radically reformulate it. Everything he's done so far has been an effort to keep things going just as they are, not get America going in a different, more sensible direction.

It amuses me to read the comments from anonymous right-wingers who are afraid of Obama being a socialist. I see him as the best Republican president that that party could hope for. Like Bill Clinton was. Obama is rewarding the rich people and the banksters by keeping their businesses afloat with made-up money. He's not doing anything to rein in the Fed. He's not doing anything to cut military spending or to give health care to the average person, or to push for union rights. What a great GOP guy Obama is!

I wouldn't mind being stuck in a lift with Obama, because he's a decent human being. But he's going to be a one-term president. The insane right wing will always hate him. Leftists like me are growing cold to him. The sad thing is, he'll be opposed by a barely concealed fascist in 2012, perhaps Gen. David Petraeus. And the fascist will win, because of the bad state everything will be in by then. Things will get bad in America. Glad I have popcorn, and a safe place in the cheap seats.

Nice homage to A Hac Mammoth! I really miss the askew, snapping turtle metaphors paralleling the fall of the Americano empire roasting on a spit. Where is he these days?

BTW: The snapping turtle can exert twice the amount of pounds per square inch biting force than a lion (I think it's the most of any mammal?). Something to think about....metaphorically speaking.

I agree with Keith...I think Obama has integrity and grounding. But there's another possibility.....a good man in the wrong situation. He wants to do the right thing but the horizon is so tilted, the instruments around him so distorted that he can't ascertain which is up and down. He's in the bubble zone. All the dials are spinning around and everyone is screaming....what the fck do you do?

I'm just not sure he's prepared for this....?

I come from a place that still believes in looking into a man's eyes when he speaks. His resonance and his eyes mean everything. That used to be the American way also...integrity and an honest heart. You can account for desperation and allow for it....but there's still something at the center.

It's that or he's that or the best salesman in the world employed my the masters of the universe..that he believes in up until the point when he realizes the truth. Both are possible. But even then....a man is a man and has his principles. Maybe Obama is the best salesman in the world and he has a plan despite the masters of the universe.....somehow I doubt it, but always a possibility?!

I think that the facts of American politics make it quite clear that politician choices will continue to degrade for some time, as Fascists take over from Socialists, then Socialists take over from Fascists, until a State successfully secedes to make the destruction of the USA too obvious to ignore. There is NO fiscally-conservative leader on any visible horizon, since there is only about 5% popular support for such a sound person.

In short, I've bet everything on the collapse of this nation's legal structures, and your fears that I'm right are more telling about your denial than about my viciousness. There is ZERO political and popular will to fix what so fatally ails the USA. So we will burn as much as those Brits will "over the pond". Like them, we're a hollowed-out people; drunk on empire, we never knew how to MANAGE what we had. We just kept TAKING, and WASTING ... until we ran out of tolerance, out of goodwill, and now we're just out of time to fix it all too.

So how long before we have to give a speech like this to Mr. Spend-happy Obama? Throwing huge chunks of money at the problem with no end in sight. No tough choices except throw more money at the problem.

I'll give Obama another 9 months before things fall apart in the US. He's going to have to do more than read off a teleprompter, then.

I've watched this video at least 10 times. It's simply brilliant. It's so theatrical...an without a powdered wig or puffy shirt. It's rather strange how we catch Gordon Brown smirking. I noticed the same reaction in Obama when interviewed on 60 minutes..when he laughs and then Croft asks him if he's punch drunk. Then again with Geitner when asked about the latest Treasury money laundering scam.

Many of you give Obama too much credit. It's not too soon to see how awful he is...NOT simply misguided! How can I say this? Obama will destroy America.
Anti-Bush sentiment was enormously negative (public, media, congress) and look how much he accomplished. Obama has the backing of the public, the media and congress...a truly destructive force. He's rushing along before we turn on him.

Stupid Americans need to first learn how to speak plain, simple English to communicate effectively.

The jargon and idioms used in America in day-to-day speech are no small factors in the commentator/cheerleading spin that has brainwashed the population into a herd mentality that ultimately caused this ubiquitous mess of recurring bubbles followed by destruction of wealth.
