A politically incorrect pamphlet hitting on all the unspeakable stuff: Politics. Economics. Fiscal Policy. Foreign Policy. Moral Issues. Culture. Investments. Religion. Humor. Life.
Yeah, did he get bleeped? i mean it reads, "LIVE" at the bottom of screen, so I don't think the censors would have caught it. When was this? Has Shep resigned?
That's cool. Two guys speaking in Orwellian Newspeak, and one who actually has the cahones to say: "Torture is ALWAYS bad!" for fuck sakes.
How fucking partizan and closet fascist do you have to be to not notice how sinister that is? Holy shit, do you think my grandfather slogging through the mountains of Italy 60 years ago only to get shot in Monte Cassino did that thinking he was fighting for the right of the state to torture "certain people"?
I support torturing prisoners who are likely to provide information that will increase American security or prevent attacks on US troops or civilians. This is a very difficult issue that the Bush administration considered carefully and deliberately and evwentually came out on the right side - that is justified under certain special circumstances, no matter how distasteful it may be.
Weener, Then you must also support the torturing of American soldiers who've been captured. If they've got info to tell, then it's legitimate to torture them to try and get that info. What goes around, comes around. Now we're no different that all the other despots and dictators. We used to stand for something better.....not any more! Col Jessuk, The kids died to support certain corporations and the military industrial complex. My "way of life" was never endangered by Iraq. My "way of life" is being endangered by the criminal government of this country. Put the bong down and start paying attention.
The Bush administration used illegal torture methods taken from U.S. survival training manuals written to instruct U.S. soldiers how to resist torture if captured by enemy forces. These methods were reversed to form methods of torture which extract confessions from our prisoners. Notice I did not say information, I said confessions. Someone suffering extreme mental and physical abuse will confess to anything, and the Bush administration was not interested in gaining real intelligence. Desperate to sell their illegal invasion/occupation of Iraq on the American people, they used these "confessions" to attempt to link Saddam Hussein with bin Laden and legitimize their plans to invade and occupy a defenseless, resource rich country. Torture is not only against international law and inhumane, it DOESN'T WORK!
Scooter, I do not "support" it but I see it as inevitable that our soldiers will be tortured if captured. OUr guys will get tortured whether we do it or not.
There is no reason to tie our hands behid our backs and get beat up just to feel morally superior.

Now we want to close Gitmo and move the 250 prisoners. They said it will cost $90 million dollars to move these 250 prisoners.
$90 million to move 250 people? No wonder we're broke.
