Anyone going to the Bilderberg Conference this weekend?

I didn't get my invite.

Probably lost in the mail again.

Are the people who 'really run the world' meeting this weekend?

The Bilderberg group, the topic of many conspiracy theories, is now meeting behind closed doors in Greece.

Those reportedly in attendance at last year's conference in Virginia include former U.S. senator Tom Daschle; Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and his predecessor Henry M. Paulson; former U.S. secretaries of state Henry Kissinger and Condoleezza Rice; Microsoft executive Craig Mundie; senior Wall Street Journal editor Paul Gigot; World Bank President Robert Zoellick and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

I'm sure they're just trading baseball cards and talking Idol. They couldn't possibly be up to anything illegal.

Nothing to see here, move along...

PS - The Guardian newspaper sent a COMEDIAN along to cover the event that's how seriously they take it. And now that same comedian has been arrested on a daily basis by the local Greek police for photographing the event. You can learn more on the Alex Jones show who has been interviewing this guy every day.

I'm thinking how convenient a terrorist attack in the US would be about now. Especially if it was linked to Iran.

Cheney would say "I told you so"

The Republicans would say "See, America was safer under us"

The Military Industrial Complex would be back in business. Big time.

Oil companies would print money.

Anyone else getting this feeling?

American Politicians attending this event are committing treason and should be tried as such.

Didn't Obamy attend in 2008?

I don't understand Keith. As far as I can tell the Military Industrial Complex was never out of business. Didn't Obama increase the defense budget?

Isn't Obama reinstating the military tribunals or kangaroo courts?

From what I've been reading a substantial amount of the 9/11 Commission's assumptions were based on false intelligence obtained from the torture of innocent people.

The MIC is most definitely still in business.

WHAT?

Our great and smart messiah would never do such things
He would first beg for approval from the international community,
Then after being assured that everyone woves us
he would resolve this with dialogue,
all while providing free cheese to the hungry

It's going to be the usual world parasites who profit from pumping the market and then pulling the rug:

Queen Beatrix from Netherlands, Agnelli from Italy, Rockefeller, Rothschild, Dutch Bank, USB, Goldman Sachs, the Fed puppets, etc, etc, etc.

Next on their list: Martial Law, censor the Internet (France just did), North American Union, World Central Bank in Europe to steal American taxpayer through the carbon tax scam.

Care to elaborate? I don't understand what you're implying here from your whacked out, daily diet of Limbaugh and Jack in the Box brainwashed, illiterate world view.

Am I somehow appearing as pro-Muslim or something in your eyes? In what way? When did I say anything pro-Muslim?

One of the most common things I see here on Sashers is a complete lack of coherence in the dialogue. It's a very sad state of affairs when people can only communicate in sound bites they've heard from their corporate media talking heads and have no real knowledge to share.

I would want to see a money trail if it did happen. I wouldn't put it past Darth Cheney to fund such an event, while at "an undisclosed secure location."

"Protecting" America is one thing, but we are talking money and power. This is one seriously disturbed toon.

That could be a direct quote from Cheney in the summer of 2001...

Anon 8:12 I think you've got it right. I can't believe the internet has been as "free" (in many ways) as it has been. We will look back and say those were the days. It's kind of a pandora's box, too.

Don't ever fill out a "health quiz" - like how long might you live. It will definitely be used against you. Your searches and buying habits are in a data base somewhere too and may be used against you. You think a FICO score is important, wait 'til you get a Compliance score - carbon footprint, miles driven and destinations, eating and drinking habits, exercise tally, genetic makeup, family history, medical records, reading material ordered or checked out, groups you belong to, associations with other people, everything you ever said in an email or on a blog, spending habits including debit card records of what you bought and where... It's going to be fun.

Just an aside, speaking of the nazi state to come, there is a town somewhere in the south where a school is preaching that kids should rat on each other by texting to the authorities. Also, a sister who works at a store in Oregon told me yesterday that she was not allowed to sell beer to a person who had an Alaska license plate that tagged him as having been treated for alcohol abuse.

Just a small glimpse of the future.

Metering the internet will probably come about.

Govt and business leaders are sick of blogs and videos discrediting them. They see metering as a revenue source and a way to keep people using the computer for business only.
