Funny how much history repeats itself. Funny how ignorant people are of history.

Psychological Operations (PSYOP, PSYOPS) -- are techniques used by military, police and religious groups to influence a target audience's value systems, belief systems, emotions, motives, reasoning, and behavior.

Target audiences can be governments, organizations, groups, and individuals, and are used in order to induce confessions, or reinforce attitudes and behaviors favorable to the originator's objectives. These are sometimes combined with black operations or false flag tactics.

This concept has been used by military institutions throughout history, but it is only since the twentieth century that it has been accorded the organizational and professional status it enjoys now.

The word is commonly used by governments who do not wish to use the term propaganda or brainwashing to refer to their own work. The word propaganda has very negative connotations, and by calling it psychological operations instead, more sophisticated methods of psychological manipulation are accurately incorporated by the terminology.

This euphemism for mind control is ironically an example of psychological operations -- i.e. using psychological techniques to persuade [manipulate] a large number of people to support something that they wouldn't normally support.

"We don't have a vaccine, yet." That's all you need to know.

Here in Anne Arundel County, MD, I can say with the utmost certainty, something is "going on" so to speak. They have identified, at first 3 and now 11 "probable" cases and haven't "confirmed" any one of them for three days. The governor blames it on a back log at the CDC, but I'm skeptical since the carrier was one of Pres. Obama's enterouge to Mexico. And it's not as though Maryland can't afford to test the samples.

I contend they not only know if they've been confirmed, but they are deliberately withholding information. Hell, they carrier from the white house who passed it on was "confirmed" as having it, but the others haven't. Add to that that they've closed all the schools before confirming it and there you have it: they're keeping something from us.

This is beyond bizzare.

Any real doctor - and that does not count the ones speaking to the press, will tell you this is a regular flu virus. And the regular flu virus kills thousands every year, almost always those without access to medical care and the elderly. Anyone check the med stocks recently?

Fine. Labs are not testing all samples:

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090430/D97T2ALO1.html

However, in Maryland for example, the cases were discovered before Delaware's college student cases and DE confirmed the next day (Wednesday). And if the carrier in MD got the flu on a trip to Mexico for the White House, and they knew early in the week, Maryland has to have known something longer than they are letting us know.

So why not "confirm" the MD cases?

I have been thinking about it a lot lately, and I honestly think that human beings have never been dumber and more easily manipulated than they are now, thanks to the "Age of Information."

I blame Al Gore. First he invented the internet and then invented Global Warming.

It can't be stopped. It can be contained, and managed.

Got it now?

WASHINGTON — A week after his administration first received word about a deadly flu spreading across Mexico, President Obama convened his cabinet on Friday and instructed every agency to play a role in preparing the United States for a pandemic.

Not exactly related to disease history, but you mentioned "political correctness" in relation to not "closing the border." (As if that could be done like shutting a refrigerator door.) I think we need a new word -- "profitical" correctness.

The thought hit me when I saw a TV news clip of Obama referring to the flu as "H1N1" instead of "swine" flu. That's the term preferred by Big Business because the S-word might harm pork sales. Mustn't use the wrong word if it would cost money!

Ditto for why the border was not closed. Do you have any idea how many citizens of Mexico and the U.S. are on the side of the border that doesn't match their passports every day? What would the costs and disruption be if they were stranded? Who would pay when they started protesting and hiring lawyers to battle being imprisoned in another nation without due process?

How many have holidays booked in Cancun, etc? What shipments of tomatoes, auto parts, God knows what else, have been arranged to cross that border every day? There's MONEY at stake on the border. Public health be damned. If it's even monstrously at risk anyway.

But make no mistake -- the border's not open because bleeding hearts want Mexican mamacitas to be able to bring their 22-month-old babies to die of the flu in U.S. hospitals. It's open because Business wants it that way. Profitical correctness. I claim the trademark.
