This is what a hero looks like

"I also know that Iran’s women stand in the vanguard. For days now, I’ve seen them urging less courageous men on. I’ve seen them get beaten and return to the fray. “Why are you sitting there?” one shouted at a couple of men perched on the sidewalk on Saturday. “Get up! Get up!”

Another green-eyed woman, Mahin, aged 52, staggered into an alley clutching her face and in tears. Then, against the urging of those around her, she limped back into the crowd moving west toward Freedom Square. Cries of “Death to the dictator!” and “We want liberty!” accompanied her."

When's Obama going to get his head out of his ass and start helping these people? All he's done so far is tell the government to not be too hard on the protesters.

F that. Tell the Iranians they have our support and we have their backs. Start sending in the bombers and special forces.

The government of Ahmadinejad was democratically elected. These people who are demonstrating are behaving antidemocratically.

Obama? The same guy who said he's not going to prosecute the torturers?

The Israeli-firsters would very much like to see the bombers and special forces go into Iran, but it's not going to happen.

The economy of the US is in a mess and the power of the Israeli-firsters has been much diminished by it.

I agree with Alan Static.

Send in the transports with special forces and evacuate the Iranian hotties back to the US.

The Mousavi supporters can go and slug it out with the Basiji and the Revolutionary guards.

Meanwhile, we can look after the Iranian hotties we have evacuated.

I'll take 4.

BTW Allan, you can join the Mousavi supporters and slug it out with the Basiji. And as soon as your new friends take over, they'll grill your nuts over a nice hot fire.

I ain't got no problems with the Iranians.

But I'm gonna be a humanitarian here and sacrifice my time to look after them Iranian hotties while they are here.

And Keith, since you think these guys are some kinda heroes, I'll be cheering you on when you stand in the front ranks and take on the Basiji.

Remember to kick them in the nuts.

NO! The Iranians can handle this on there own. We don't need another Iraq, Afghanistan. I commend them for protesting, but its not our job to help them. Otherwise there are a ton of African dictators just waiting to be disposed of.

... the conspiracy side of me thinks this is EXACTLY what the oligarchs want... a revolution in Iran backed by the West.

I looked up through the smoke and saw a poster of the stern visage of Khomeini above the words, “Islam is the religion of freedom.”

Why are the Iranians now protesting against freedom ?

What they have , is EXACTLY what they wanted when they threw out the Shah in 1979.

Welcome to the ONE true faith of peace and tolerance !

It's a stark contrast to notice how fit and thin Iranians are, compared to how fat and out-of-shape a comparable group of Americans would be.

I'm just saying.

the overly drugged americans would never do such a thing, yet our third party candidates are marginalized and bannned from debates by the two party system which took the control of the debates away from the League of Women Voters.

when they take our guns will we throw rocks?

we have guns, we must never allow our guns to be taken...

amricna should all go a buy a gun this week

It's usually never the people themselves that are the problem ,it's the leaders . People just want to live lives and not starve . Leaders
brainwash people into what the problem is while they keep them in control while they give them
nothing . Classic story that has been going on since the dawn of man .
The corruption is that the chosen group gets the cheese ,at least for a while .

In America it's clear that a elite group has stolen the money and plan to put the burden on the masses . The chosen people will benefit ,and the rest will be hurting .

We say in America that we are a Nation that is run by the rule of law ,but the last 10 years proves otherwise . We don't even enforce our immigrant laws ,let alone our banking laws . De-regulation allowed the elite to fleece the rest .

How can Obama interfere with
Iran . We are not the police watch dogs of the World and we better clean up our own back yard first ?
Silly silly humans that are always taking the heat off the real thieves .

Have you noticed that even though they are protesting the women still carry their purse with them?

There is nothing Ameria can do!

You are all out of options, and money!

Best you just shut up and let the world solve its own problems, while America slides into the sea.

Bye Bye!
