RON PAUL UNLOADS: " We have broken from reality, a psychotic nation.. We must escape from the madness of crowds.. prepare for revolutionary changes.."

This, folks, is a beautiful speech, an important speech (thank you blogs and internet). And possibly a historic speech, depending on what comes next. Remember, first they ignore you...

"Prepare for revolutionary changes in the not too distant future" Ron Paul says.

Maybe.

Maybe.

Depends on stock and home prices of course, and what's on Idol.

After all, this generation of speculative, lazy and coddled Americans has proven time and time again that they enjoy taking it lying down. As long as home prices go back up, and something good is on the telly, no sweat.

Quite simply, we may be the French of the new millennium. Easily deceived. Believing the lies. And taking it lying down.

Until it was too late.

“Could it all be a bad dream, or a nightmare? Is it my imagination, or have we lost our minds? It's surreal; it's just not believable. A grand absurdity; a great deception, a delusion of momentous proportions; based on preposterous notions; and on ideas whose time should never have come; simplicity grossly distorted and complicated; insanity passed off as logic; grandiose schemes built on falsehoods with the morality of Ponzi and Madoff; evil described as virtue; ignorance pawned off as wisdom; destruction and impoverishment in the name of humanitarianism; violence, the tool of change; preventive wars used as the road to peace; tolerance delivered by government guns; reactionary views in the guise of progress; an empire replacing the Republic; slavery sold as liberty; excellence and virtue traded for mediocracy; socialism to save capitalism; a government out of control, unrestrained by the Constitution, the rule of law, or morality; bickering over petty politics as we collapse into chaos; the philosophy that destroys us is not even defined.

We have broken from reality--a psychotic Nation. Ignorance with a pretense of knowledge replacing wisdom. Money does not grow on trees, nor does prosperity come from a government printing press or escalating deficits.

We're now in the midst of unlimited spending of the people's money, exorbitant taxation, deficits of trillions of dollars--spent on a failed welfare/warfare state; an epidemic of cronyism; unlimited supplies of paper money equated with wealth.

A central bank that deliberately destroys the value of the currency in secrecy, without restraint, without nary a whimper. Yet, cheered on by the pseudo-capitalists of Wall Street, the military industrial complex, and Detroit.

We police our world empire with troops on 700 bases and in 130 countries around the world. A dangerous war now spreads throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. Thousands of innocent people being killed, as we become known as the torturers of the 21st century.

We assume that by keeping the already-known torture pictures from the public's eye, we will be remembered only as a generous and good people. If our enemies want to attack us only because we are free and rich, proof of torture would be irrelevant.

The sad part of all this is that we have forgotten what made America great, good, and prosperous. We need to quickly refresh our memories and once again reinvigorate our love, understanding, and confidence in liberty. The status quo cannot be maintained, considering the current conditions. Violence and lost liberty will result without some revolutionary thinking.

We must escape from the madness of crowds now gathering. The good news is the reversal is achievable through peaceful and intellectual means and, fortunately, the number of those who care are growing exponentially.

Of course, it could all be a bad dream, a nightmare, and that I'm seriously mistaken, overreacting, and that my worries are unfounded. I hope so. But just in case, we ought to prepare ourselves for revolutionary changes in the not-too-distant future.”

I don't like a lot of what Paul stands for, and I think his economic ideas would be disastrous, but at least he's honest. Too bad the corrupt Repube-lickin' Party has written him off the way that the Dimwitcrats have written off Dennis Kucinich.

The revolutionary change will be the collapse. Good luck surviving the die-off. Because a lot of it will be a kill-off...

And Keith -- stop picking on the French! They have the balls to strike and fight back against the maggots at the top. An average Frenchman lives better than the average chavvy Poms you're surrounded by, mate.

Thanks for this post, Keith. I had started wondering whether or not I was crazy. Group-think can have that affect even on those of us who are sane. And it's really hard to conceptualize the enemy if we can't put our finger on its locus.

Wasn’t it Buffet who said ‘Wall st. is the only place were the guy riding the train offers financial advice to the guy in the limo’?

Look at his body language and listen to him speak if you didn’t tell me his name I would call him
‘Mr. restricted constrictor’

This man is not financially successful nor has he achieved any real personal success, (unless of course you count being elected in TX success)

If we listen to his wisdom and follow his logic wont we end up like him?

Who wants that?

Sorry to beak the news, Mr. Paul, Keith, but revolution=bloodshed, always has, always will. This time around we have no intellectual giants like Franklin, Jefferson, or Adams to light the way. IMO American Revolution II will more resemble the French Revolution than the original. It will devour its young and create a new, PC constitution, that enslaves the "winners".

This world is the way it is first and foremost because of the greed and thirst for control/power of a small cabal of people wealthy beyond imagination thru manipulation of the financial system over many decades.

True "change" will only occur when the global banking mafia and our current financial system is completely dynamited and rebuilt from the ground up with ZERO players from the old system allowed to be part of the new system.

The new system will have to be engineered with feedback mechanisms built-in that reward conservative and prudent use of money while discouraging (and actually punishing) abuse of money and fast-buck schemes.

In addition, all "shadowy and secretive" organizations like the FED must never be allowed to gain control again. The primary goals of the new system will be ACCOUNTABILITY and CLARITY in all financial institutions and associated policy.

Money as it turns out, was indeed the root of all evil.

This is not going to end well. The population is brain dead on prescription meds, high fructose corn syrup, Dancing the the Stars and distracted by mindless texting.
The collapse will come and most will be completely caught off guard, Haiti style.

The only thing I can do is take steps to save myself and a handful of others that are willing to listen.

Love Ron Paul though. A true patriot. Firmly planted in reality.

My favourite lie was actually this one:

When I hear that line I think:

Sarah Palin

Glenn Beck

Sean Hannity

The "Fox & Friends" crew

Michele Bachmann

The 'intelligent design' or anti-evolution, anti-science crowd

George Bush

I could go on...

It's one thing to be ignorant. No problem. Not everyone can be informed. That take time, effort, and an open mind.

When you have churches pushing bullshit science, when you have teachers as dumb as their students, and when you have generation after generation of lazy and 'entitled' thinking the good times can never end, you get what you get.

But what I have a problem with is uninformed and ignorant people rising to positions of power. "nobody saw it coming' they said when it came to the financial crash. Well, many did. They just weren't in a position to do anything about it.

And I especially have a problem with Sarah Palin and her crowd. Completely ignorant, completely uninformed, and dangerously close to taking control of the most powerful country on earth.

Ron Paul must be troubled to see what's happened to his party. How he stays in it I have no idea. If here were a true leader, he'd leave. And start something new. The GOP is simply too ignorant and too dangerous for him. The first revolution needs to be the destruction of that party, and the formation of one that can take on the Dems.

You are confusing his eloquence with intelligence. Many people were excellent public speakers (incl. Hitler) but not much above average intelligence.
If he was so intelligent he would know that giving a bunch of tax payer funds to criminal bankers is a bad idea. He would know that destroying this country will lead to unintended consequences out of his and everybody else's control.
If Obama was so intelligent he would know that you can't print your way to prosperity. He would know that only if you enforce the law, reward success and let the foolish fail can this economic system survive.
Obama is at best your average gullible American, at worst an accomplice of the Wall Street crime syndicate.

Reality is that educated people never achieve much.
People with a hunger, drive and ambition always outdo the educated

It is why the A students always work for the C students

It is why Attitude is 85% of what it takes to be successful

It is why the top educated students from India work 70-hour weeks for fat ignorant managers who spend their time drinking on Golf courses, on and on.

Either way, Ron Paul does appeal to the current populist uneasiness,
However; RP is neither intelligent nor does he have that fire in the belly as you once proclaimed.

PS: you can find book-worms with a lot of ‘talent’ in almost every basement

PPS: Educated does not equal intelligent. (Europe is a perfect example, loaded with educated people and intelligence level of a slug)

PPPS: Ron Pauls major issue is that he appears like a ‘bigot / racist’ whether he is or not.

Right on.

And a majority share of the blame can be attributed to the control and consolidation of the mass media 'news outlets' which, in catering to a plutocratic agenda, spew misinformation, distortion and distraction.

They have accomplished their mandate of dumbing-down a once-great nation to facilitate the pirating of its wealth.

Keith, the corporatist noise machine has marginaized all of those "elitists" i.e. the enemies of "real America." This is the same system that has somehow tricked 95% of the hoi polloi into believing that transnational corporations share their interests.

Most of what RP says here is dead on, but the thing that bothers me about this speech (and RP in general) is that RP's ideology really needs this disaster.

If RP isn't willing to bend enough to intervene and dismantle the TBTF in an orderly fashion, then we are stuck waiting for a horrific collapse so that we can start over. I mean, who jumps out of the window before they try the stairs? Americans used to dismantle the big boys before they got TBTF. For years our government has been chasing profits for the corporate sociopaths and quel surprise, has returned just as sociopathic!

But then we're back to history-- you'd have to actually crack a book to know that the original Tea Party was a protest of not just a tax, but of a British government that was finagling profits for a dying megacorporation instead of looking out for its people.

Maybe Ron Paul can see into the Future.

Will the US Dollar continue to be the Reserve Currency of the World.

Deliberate Dollar Debasement

In 1950 Mises looked at the pension problem from the point of view of the shrinking purchasing power of the dollar, a consequence of what he called the deliberate policy of currency debasement by the U.S. government.

In 1950 a pension of $100 per month was a substantial allowance, he noted. Shelter could be rented for a month for less than $30 in most parts of the country. (In 2010, $100 hardly buys one night’s stay at a decent hotel.)

In 1950 the Welfare Commissioner of the City of New York reported that 52 cents would buy all the food a person needed to meet his daily caloric and protein requirements. (In 2010, $100 barely buys a cup of coffee and a muffin for every day of the month.)

http://news.goldseek.com/
GoldSeek/1262600400.php

And what is left of US Assets will be brought up by foreigners.

Foreigners Are Now Buying More U.S. Assets Than Americans Buying Foreigners

Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) will happen as foreign companies begin to realize that there is a need to switch to a more profitable business model taking advantage of the strong Yen, Won, Pound, and etc.

Is there a very real possibility that these foreign companies will make acquisitions of U.S. companies that are in a weak position because of the financial crisis.

“‘The effect of the activities of these Christian fronts is to create counteraction against the United States government, which in turn builds the revolution to a point where the people themselves overthrow their own government, thinking all the time that they are patriots. The purpose of the right wing as used by British Israel is to create and encourage a revolutionary state of mind and then the people will bring down their own government. The anti-Communist movement as it exists in the United States is peculiarly anti-American; while parading with the American Flag it is developing a pseudo nationalism to wreck the American government, just as Hitler did in Germany. Of course the claim of these people is that they want to get back to constitutional government and most of them sincerely want to, but they do not realize that the EFFECT of their actions is to destroy that which they believe they save. If they could understand the esoteric (hidden) purpose of their organizations, they would not be so anxious to be led to the slaughter. They should realize that as revolution increases constitutional government decreases. Government by crisis is a dictatorship...” (Helen Peters, The Union Jack, Chap. 2)

Bukko,

I am the real RayNLA. Keith, sorry for mispelling your name.

Buk your point was well made regarding Obama and the anon posting. I went out on a limb...I stand corrected, please accept my humble apologies.

My take on Obama is that the guy really didn't understand what he was signing up for.

After the election Obama was given the minutes to the last Bilderberg meeting on his Blackberry, a new "Made In China" telepromter, and a peak behind the curtain as well as under under Nancy Pelosi's dress.

Later that evening he cried by himself.
