Screw you all!!! I told you I was untouchable!!! Obama can kiss my ass!! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!!

"Much of the turmoil of this recession was caused by the irresponsibility of banks and financial institutions on Wall Street. These financial firms took huge, reckless risks in pursuit of short-term profits and soaring bonuses. They gambled with borrowed money, without enough oversight or regard for the consequences. And when they lost, they lost big."

- President Barack Obama, January 16, 2009, ripping on the criminal banksters that he still refuses to prosecute, either because of his administration's corruption, incompetence, ignorance or sickening lack of urgency

That would be the same gormless Obammy who hasn't even replaced the U.S. attorneys appointed by the Bush Crime Family. It's always been the perogative of incoming presidents to name new federal prosecutors to replace the ones appointed by their predecessors. (The reason Bushwit got heat for the prosecutor firings is because he was sacking HIS OWN people in mid-term for not being big enough partisan hacks.) Either Hopey is too afraid of what Fux "News" would say if he shit-canned the lot of Bush appointees, or the powers behind the throne have told him "Don't rock the boat, boy."

Realtors and the lying borrowing masses had nothing to do with it?

The funny thing is that the "teabaggers" are getting hoodwinked by the neocons.

The GOP will ride back into power and do the exact same thing as Obama or worse.

Only by putting aside the left-right differences THAT HAVE BEEN CREATED BY THE OLIGARCHS TO DIVIDE US can we the people ever free ourselves.

It's a sign of the times. No one is responsible. It wasn't my fault. We didn't know. No one is the head of the team, so there is no one in charge, no one is to blame, etc. It covers all fields.

I think the best question I have seen concerning the banks and their bad bets, is this: Why did they "insure" AAA paper?

Answer of course is that is wasn't AAA and everyone knew it. So they pushed it and bet against it at the same time, with off-books CDS's that we, the middle class taxpayers are now covering at top dollar.

Fraud at every level. Thousands of people are guilty and should be charged.

Lesson learned: Crime pays.
Doing the right thing definitely does not.

The scene: Angelo Mozillo is on his new yacht, the Short Sale, cruising off the Baja Peninsula, and served by a crew made up mostly of attractive young women.

Angelo: "Hey babe, switch the TV channel, I'm sick of that Mad Max movie."

young lady (laughing): That's not a movie Angie-silly-willy, that's some CNN reporter in San Diego. Can we head down to Acapulco this weekend?

Keith, during your time off, you have been watching to much main stream news.
You need to focus on the fact that if Massacusets votes republican on Tuesday, he will lose his super majority, and with it his plan to make Ordinary Americans the slaves of the Insurance Business.
To combat the feeling of alienation from blue collar America, Obama makes a speech critising the bankers of wall street, thus having working class america go out to the polls on Tuesday.

Ignore the words, how many Goldman Sachs bankers have been prosecuted for securities fraud?
When is the Senate going hold hearings and shame the Wall Street Thieves, the way J.P, Morgan was in the 1930S?

Dead on Patrat. Don't forget "nobody saw this coming" BS the MSM tries to give us. This thing is going to meltdown so bad. There is no guarantee my bet will pan out (gold, silver, oil, bullets, food), but that's where I am placing my bets. God help us all.

Keith, I suggest you re-start the countdown for this SOB (but please use weeks, not hours this time). I have a feeling that some high-profile criminals are slated to be frog-marched to deflect public attention when, as I expect, the economy takes a second dive later this year.

This guy could be FDR instead of trying to disguise FDR's old speeches, but alas he's just another NeoLiberal hack.

Yep, that's the best one, Anon 9:12 - "nobody saw this coming".
What they didn't see coming was their great fortune to escape prosecution.

Let. Us. Pray.

Granted, we should have reigned in ridiculous health care costs decades ago. But the for-profits painted that as Socialist.

The plain truth is we now have Fascism. Like that, folks?

I remember telling y'all that Orange-zillo would get away scot-free. Like a couple of years ago even.

I always saw Mozillo as the ultimate Hollywood criminal, a man who would essentially conduct insider trading in broad daylight and get away with it by manipulating both Wall St and Washington. Think about it, he hid nothing and because no one in the DC/NYC axis of power wanted to get caught, gave him a free pass on everything.
