If you wonder why I'm so anti-Tea Bagger party, here's why. It's not real. It's Dick "Angry Renter" Armey and his corporate masters fooling fools

I got an email once in the housingpanic days from Dick Armey, in the form of "AngryRenter.com". Something about helping drive traffic to his "grass roots" housing bubble website. Of course, it didn't mention that it was Dick Armey (and Fox News, and Steve Forbes).

No, it supposedly was from a little guy, fighting back against corporate interests, starting a little blog.

Ha.

So, of course, I smelled a rat, did some digging, and found out it was just Dick. Being a dick. Pretending to be "grass roots". When it was all about serving his corporate masters, just like he did when he was the Republican majority leader in the House, leading the United States to ruin.

Don't be a dick. Don't be fooled. It's just sooooooooooooooooo obvious. Dick Armey and his "Freedom Works" and "Angry Renter" and "Tea Bag" and "Glenn Beck" and "Fox News" crap is bullshit. And if you support any of it, ANY of it, you are a fool.

I repeat. You are a fool.

[But hey, if you watch Fox News and believe that bullshit, I guess it's already established that you are a fool. Nothing to see here. Move along.]

Keith, I don't see what the problem is. The message behind AngryRenter.com is pretty simple: DON'T bailout homedebtors and their banks at the expense of renters. What's there not to support? I don't care WHO started this effort or what the underlying motive is. That message needs to be spread by SOMEONE and even if you don't like that someone, oh well.

blogger said...

The message is good, it was the message of HousingPANIC

The message of the "tea baggers" is good. Limited government.

But the motives are NOT pure. The sponsors are NOT pure.

These causes and messages have been hijacked, by Dick Armey, lobbyists, Fox News, Sarah Palin and the GOP. And they are the enemy. They are not friends.

It's brilliant political strategy. And if you don't see it, you are a fool.

But hey, that's what I expect, since the United States lately is a nation of undereducated, unthinking, easily-fooled fools.

i thought the tea baggers wanted to claw back the wages and salaries, benefits and perks from those treasonous politicians who as they were saying destroyed the country over the last dozens of years, those who went against the people?

Not just the USA, but the world man.

Did you read market tickers story on Greece/Goldman Sachs today?

And as for secret societies, there is nothing secret about what they are doing. It is going on right in front of our eyes, they make no attempt to hide it. The rich own the governments, the governments make the laws. And no one is willing to stand up and stop them. Enough said.

Its a sickness man. I have recently decided to go back to school and get my law degree. Already have a masters in accounting but I want to possibly get involved with government and actually do something about this instead of just blog about it.

Anyway, we were having a discussion in class last week about the bailouts, CEO compensation, etc. A lot of people fired up and such and one guy says, I kid you not, "ethics is an illusion". Of course he is right that ethics is a joke but the fact that we ACCEPT that fact and just go about our day is what is sick.

You posted a couple weeks ago that we need more leaders who are educated and smart. I disagree, we need more leaders with ETHICS. In business and in government. Men who will do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Even at the expense of the bottom line.

Nothing will change until that happens, IMO.

Agreed... But since the Tea Party candidates (Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Schiff, etc.) would all be improvements from a liberty stand point why not go with it???

Keith, thanks for replying to my comment with a direct insult. That was nice. Anyhow, I'm not saying I don't understand the underlying motive and that it isn't pure, especially after you've pointed it out. My point was that NOBODY of significant influence has been carrying that message for us. HP hasn't carried that message in a long while. The underlying motive is to discredit the Democrats but who cares? I don't like the Dems anyway nor the Repubs. All that I care is that as a byproduct as long as it helps the renters and the responsible get the message across that we shouldn't bail out the homedebting irresponsible scum, I don't see what the problem is. Or do you mean that we shouldn't like the message simply because it's not fanboy enough for you?

Did you read the New York Times article from earlier this month about a Teabagger-like movement in France in 1955? That's right, FRANCE!

They had a bunch of people who were aggrieved over high taxes, bureaucratic meddling, pompous do-nothing politicians... They wanted to bring France back to its rural roots, just like Sarah Palin's "real Americans" supposedly are. And they got a bit of political power in the French national legislature.

But once the French Teabaggers got power, they had no idea what to do with it. They flopped at governing. And they helped cause the downfall of the French "Fourth Republic." Read the link, Teabagger enthusiasts. You'll see that you're following in the footsteps of the French.

Only, corporate forces didn't take over the French movement. So the American "baggers are even worse off. I agree with Keith that the Teabaggers are being pwn'd by master manipulators. Just like workers who fight against unions are pwn'd...

Angry Lep, while we disagree, I always enjoy your posts

In 2008, 2 party system, the choice of Obama, McCain, 3rd party or don't vote, I supported Obama. Palin/McCain wasn't only unacceptable, it was downright DANGEROUS. and I think most see that now.

In 2010 my recommendation is vote EVERY incumbent out - dem or rep. doesn't matter. And yes, that will likely mean GOP gains, which is unfortunate. But then in 2012, vote 'em out again. And in 2014, vote 'em out again. And in 2016, vote 'em out again. And in 2018, hopefully we'll be getting somewhere.

America is about to go through 10 years of political anarchy. And that's OK. Because we need an enema. The system needs to be flushed.

The Tea Party is fake populist opposition. It's been co-opted by the slimeballs who have caused all of the problems in the first place.

The real grassroots "conservative" anti-establishment movement was the Ron Paul campaign for the Republican nomination. While I disagree with his stance on voting against taxing AIG bonuses, he is being consistent with his political philosophy.

Both political parties suck. Even the election of Scott Brown which symbolizes a victory against Massachusetts political corruption is tained by the fact that Brown is going to be just another neocon. Call me cynical, but the result is that a douchebag has been replaced by a turd sandwich.

The term "tea-bagger" is so offensive and repulsive. Get the name right, at least. Dirty innuendos are an embarrassment to yourselves and infect the country.

It's that sort of vulgarity and degradation that Americans in the Tea Party deplore and stand against. I, for one, am sick of being pissed on by kids who refuse to grow up.

Some of us have children and still believe in decency, morality, and upstanding behavior. We censor what we say and do on their behalf. Life is not all about self-indulgence, crudeness, and uninhibited travel either, Keith. We don't all pick up and go anywhere we want to, to gratify ourselves.

Some of us have a stake in the next generation. We go to work every day to maintain health insurance for our families. If we all lived just for ourselves, there would be no future. It's sacrifice for a higher purpose, not living every moment for personal enjoyment.

Anonymous said...

The term "tea-bagger" says it all, here. Why should anyone take you seriously when you disseminate this level of vulgarity? It encapsulates everything that is wrong in the decline of the West...that this term is considered "clever," "funny" and, worse, mainstreamed by the media hacks. it's gross and degenerative. Plain disrespectful. The decaying morality of our lives on eager display by salivating overgrown adolescents. It's sub-Beavis and Butthead.

Of course, Rahm Emmanuel already answered that. Of course they are, and always have been. Even Obama makes fun of Special Olympics children. It certainly fits with the juvenile level of humor in the "tea-bagger" epithet.

Forgive them, they know not what they do.

Angry Leprechaun said...

Keith,

Keith wake the hell up. First you talk to me like I am new here. I have fooled you since early 2007.

I said back in 2008 myself that Palin and McCain were losers.

You said that we all know that now. Well since we do not have them in office as Pres and VP we really do not have much more to go on other than Palin keeps making a fool of herself.

We do however have a way to measure the other candidates, Obama and Biden and how they have done in office. Downright fucking scary if you ask me.

So in other words get over the McCain/ Palin bullshit and stop hiding behind it like it means something.

OBAMA AND BIDEN HAVE PROVEN TO BE A COUPLE OF FUNCKING IDIOTS AS BAD AS PALIN/ MCCAIN.

Had it not been for you Keith I never would have supported Ron Paul, Peter Schiff both of whom I still support today.

What I do not get Keith is how you go from supporting Schiff and Paul to voting for Obama, and still support Schiff. If you are such a man of principles than could you define them for me, because the only thing I can figure out is you have multiple personalities and one. One or two that will endorse Obama and then one or two that will turn around and endorse Schiff. I have asked you about this multiple times in the last few months and all I hear is a bunch of Obama BS.

You are inconsistent! Nuff fucking said.

Angry Lep - the 2008 choice was McCain or Obama. It wasn't a choice. McCain (palin) was unacceptable. Pretty obvious.

Now to the future:

In 2010, incumbents will be shown the door in droves. But still full of a bunch of corrupt Dems and Reps. Not a solution, just re-arranging the deck chairs, and letting the fools who led the country to ruin back in the door. Stupid voters.

In 2012, Obama will win again. It hath been foretold. And more incumbents will be shown the door. But again, no independents, no third party.

But in 2016, that's when we get our first Independent president, and our first wave of Independent candidates winning seats in Congress. Financed with internet donations. Smart campaigners who go direct to the people.

I see 2016 like the disintermediation of realtors. Or the downfall of the music labels. Nobody needs distributors anymore. That's all the parties are. Distributors. Dinosaurs. And they're hated. Maybe as much as realtors.

Now we just need some candidates to say F the parties and take it straight to the people. They should be running already. Not "teabaggers". Pure independents. Centrists. Social liberals, fiscal conservatives. Candidates who shout that both parties are corrupt, miserable failures.

2016 is a long way off. I want it started now.

With government spending winding down (public will no longer stand for it, for some reason, even though most of the public is in some way government-dependent) unemployment should be around 12% minimum in 2012. That alone should pretty much guarantee that Obama is not re-elected.

We impose strict labor and environmental regulations here in the USA, and then we sign free trade agreements with nations that have no such regulations. And then we act puzzled when there is no job creation here in the US?? We might as well make it illegal to hire Americans, we would get similar results.

Either labor laws/environmental controls must be abolished, or free trade agreements must be abolished and immigration laws made stricter and actually forced. Under either of those two paths, we'd at least have a coherent system.

Otherwise, we get what we got--systemic, permanent, incessantly rising unemployment.

I use "Teabagger" deliberately -- as an insult. It was, after all, the label that many of those people chose THEMSELVES before they realized it meant "someone who sucks a on a guy's hairy, sweaty ball sack." HA HA HA HA HA! Another clue to how out-of-touch the people behind the Teabagger movement are.

(Although to be honest, I didn't know that slang term either, because it's not my scene. Not that there's anything wrong with salivating on scrotums, if that's what gives you your jollies. But if I had tried to start a political movement, I would have checked out my trademark word on Urban Dictionary first. And I would change my name to something other than "Dick Armey.")

So what if dirty-bag Republicans and false conservatives like Glenn Beck want to hijack the Tea Party movement. That was expected.

I just don't understand why you're always trying to poo poo any grass movement started by fedup citizens.

Is Tea Party's fault if some members don't see what Beck and the GOP are up to? What do you want, a military style Tea Party so organized, all over the country, with no funds, that no special interest is able to ever infiltrate it? Are you that naive or intentionally deceiving to pump your blog or liberal talking points?

Tea Party is more an idea than a specific group. I just find hilarious how Beck, Olbermann, O'Reilly, and Chris Matthews all decided to do a hit piece on Debra Medina, on the same night, when she was about to take Perry in Texas. Never mind the hit pieces through out the same week by the New York Times & Co. So now the supposedly "progressives" are working along side with Fox to destroy Medina, so Perry can win instead?

Gee, I thought that your beloved MSNBC and Fox were enemies. You so smart Keith.
