What is this? Daily Koz? Is there a single issue on which you agree with Ron Paul on? Is there a single item on Obama's radical socialist agenda that you disagree with?

Why do you keep running from me Keith? You got put in your place the other day on the health care post and don't even have the decency to admit your error.

I would like to formally request that somebody add an 11th hour earmark to the Health Care Bill directing the Justice Dept to arrest John 'Boner' for political malpractice with a stipulation that 90% of his life-long congressional salary be clawed back and donated to homeless shelters in his district.

Good. That's why I'm against the treacherous constitution-trashing despot Obama and with Boehner.

Dude Keith, BOTH ARE EVIL!

They dared Obama and Pelosi to deem & pass and he almost walked into the trap. It now appears that Mr. Obama's pollsters finally made him see the light - of the oncoming train. The next days should be very interesting as we learn the details of all the backroom deals that Pelosi and Reid cut to get to one-vote majorities. Man that Chicago two-step sure is an ugly dance. K-Y jelly anyone?

Agreed. Obama is doing what he should have done awhile ago - owning the healthcare debate. After all, it will define him. And no amount of Republic nihilism should persuade us of, well, of anything. It's nihilism after all.

So here's a question for our faithful narrator: As right as Schiff as been about a lot of things, he's been dead fing wrong about on a suprising number of major predictions (IRs, the list really does go on).

So how do we square that. Is he an oracle or, simply, a guy who rode a housing prediction (and big balls) to cult status. Feel free to fall somewhere in the middle :)

What is really evil is the delusion you perpetuate that there is good or evil on one side or the other. I'm not trying to preach so don't take this the wrong way, because I couldn't give less of a crap whether you believe or not...(you're a big boy, you can make up your own mind)...but as a Christian I believe in original sin, that all of mankind is fallen and has evil encoded in our physical and spiritual DNA including me. I don't go around thinking up evil things to do or planning to do my fellow man harm just as you don't and the majority of mankind. However, you cannot study history for very long and not realize that one of the truest of all truisms is "The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions."

"Isms" are not evil. Capitalism is not evil anymore than Socialism is evil. Obama as a socialist is no more or less evil than Boehner as a capitalist. Although it is my belief that socialism as a growth medium for human corruption is more fertile than capitalism this does not stunt my belief that capitalism corrupts as well albeit at a slower pace. The hare and the turtle will both cross the finish line... the only difference is time.

And thus it is with Obama, the Democrats and Socialized Healthcare vs. Boehner, McConnell and Palin, the Republicans and Crony, Statist Capitalism. They both have the best intentions in mind. Both are corrupt beyond redemption.

Our Fate was sealed long ago between the forces supporting Thomas Jefferson who supported an Agnostic, Secular, Bucolic Farmer's Paradise free from the corruption of Banks and High Finance and the Church and Alexander Hamilton who supported Manifest Destiny girded throughout by the machinations of Central Banks, High Finance and a standing Military to protect this Grand Experiment call America from the forces against it such as the recently defeated British.

Both of these greatest of Founding Fathers loved America. Both had its best intentions in mind. Both hated each other, thought the other one as evil. Even to the point of owning and/or influencing newspapers to constantly harass one another...CNN vs Fox News... 220 years earlier.

And both visions were just a load of idolized bullshit. Jefferson's proto-socialism grew up in the
20th century to kill more people than all the world's wars combined since the beginning of time. Hamilton's proto-capitalism has grown up to become a globalist, wage and labor arbitrage model for neo-feudalism and the crushing of the human spirit.

So go ahead...continue with your comfortable assumptions of good and evil, particularly when it comes to issues such as healthcare and who supports it or not. I actually support it wholeheartily if only because I know that it will more quickly bring on the collapse of America's financial system. Maybe then, when we have been brought so low, we will have serious thoughts about a new, more equitable way of forming a civilization and culture around Christian principles which espouses a personal, not a statist, socialism concerning our fellow man that is bankrolled by a truly ethical and fair capitalism.

But more than likely we will just blame the Democrats and Socialism and fall into the waiting arms of the Statist and Global Capitalists and will enter another 1000 years of Feudalism and the Dark Ages....if we survive that long.

I can't say that I like the health bill. I would of liked a single payer
system that was government run with maybe the option for higher coverage than basic if you wanted to pay for it .

I guess it would be necessary to define needed care verses upgraded care .
Upgraded care would be getting a private room for instance .

I don't know ,maybe this Health Bill is a start ,but I don't like the mandate that you have to buy
health care ,especially at the gouging prices of these days .

False choice, straw man argument and a few other words come to mind, but good or evil???

Things are what they are...

Republicans go about serving their corporate masters in a way that fucks business owners and tax payers over less than Unions and tax takers.

Democrats go about serving their corporate masters in a way that fucks Unions and tax takers over less than business owners and tax payers.

Same shit with subtle adjustments. Keith I thought you understood this to be true. Why become an Obamabot now?

The dudes a twit and he's lucky if he gets a second term. And I mean Palin/Romney lucky. He's toast against someone like Gary Johnson or Jim DeMint.

You think like a child. One who is very spoiled and petulant.

The issue is individualism versus communalism, not good v. evil, silly little boy. Communalism has killed more people on this planet than any other doctrine, not to mention the spirits it has destroyed.

I stand for individualism--American, CONSTITUTIONAL liberty, which is so very very good. It is wonderful to see so many Patriots who are waking up and standing up and speaking out. Very heartwarming and reassuring that the American dream lives, despite attempts by despots and Marxists to destroy it.

If you think it is good to pass legislation that forces people to hand over their hard earned money to insurance companies, lawyers and big pharma then you are truely delusional. Keith, I am somewhat disappointed as to your limited insight into the matter.
Any meaningful health legislation would first and foremost address the cost. The best health care system is not working if only few can afford it.

Not sure who's right. I am not too sure about this bill and dont know enough.

the reason why the waiting time for root canel in England so long isn't because the British are not evolved. It isn't because being a Dentist is a bad job there.

Business cannot spend money at a faster rate then they take it in.

If 20 root cannals are performed one month and it takes the Dentist 7 weeks to get paid by his government. Guess what.. He cannot afford to perform 20 root canals the next month.

It took an average of 9 months for car dealerships to get paid from their government on the cash for clunker deal. Many dealersips had to suspend the cash for clunkers because the mony coming in was not enough for them to repurches new supplies. THE GOVERNMENT SUSPENDED the clash for clunker to give the dealerships an oppertunity to recover. THEN RESUMED it.

Was profit made off cash for clunkers in the end? Yes. But the diruption it did to the car dealerships should be noticed by all.

Despite the "sucess" of the cash for clunker. The cash for appliances has been put on hold until after the healthcare vote. For 9 months now we have been waiting for the cash or the appliances. But if the goverment were to implement it and store were to suspend sales because they were waitng on their government to ay them prior to purchasing new stock. The warning flags would be there for everyone to see.

When cancer treatments and other major medical treaments have to be disburse at no more than the rate of recovery payment from the government. There will be a major REDUCTION in the number of people treated.

We will not see an expansion of availablity to healthcare. By putting the government onto the path of overseeing payments. We will see waiting lines that put only the strong in the ability to survive.

EVIL IS LURKING JUST AS IT WAS WHEN HITLER WON THE TIME LIFE MAN OF THE YEAR HONORS.

Keith, every British person I ever met had decayed teeth or fake dental. Nice try!

Yes, a high percentage of British have terrible teeth.

Causation. Correlation. Read about it.

Meanwhile, this has nothing to do with the current US health bill. I don't see the government opening clinics, or employing doctors, or collecting 16% in taxes to pay for government run health care.

The level of ignorance in America simply stunning.

Why did the republicans fight so hard against health care?

Because they knew if it passed it would destroy them in the long run.

This program will end up being very popular and successful. And not one single republican will be able to take credit.

Warnings to Dems if they passed it they'd be voted out were hilarious displays of fake concern. They tried to destroy Obama with this issue, and came close. After being swept out of office, they went all in. And they lost.

Isn't this obvious? Because it should be. And if it isn't yet, it will be soon enough.

Keith,

Your STRICTLY binary, manufactured dialectic on the issue of Obamacare is transparent to the more astute among us, but you keep on fishing for controversy by making sensationalistic statements that are clearly only tangentially rooted in reality.

Your readership has clearly diminished since your on again/off again sabbaticals began, but by making intentionally inflammatory and disingenuous remarks about Health Care Reform, you'll have them back in no time.

Otherwise, your belief that Obamacare, in its current incarnation, is a net positive betrays your corporatist (and surprisingly, Ultra-Leftist/Marxist beliefs - how do you reconcile such disparate tendencies, Keith?) leanings. Your thread on the "ingenuity of the American corporation" almost had me rolling on the floor. That you believe an iPad and Expedited Shipping will lead us out of our current predicament is entertaining to say the least. Thanks for the laughs and keep up the good work.

Might I suggest some light reading, Keith. Both links issue from traditionally Democratic leaning [read: Pelosi/Reid/Frank sycophants] and Obama cheerleading sites like HuffPo and the NYT. Your kind of reading I would imagine. Enjoy

Speaking of the Kennedys, I guess to many in here, it would be great if everything were still segregated. Today's historic step forward, will be fraught with problems, but it IS a step forward, which is better than none.
Watch Mike Moore's Sicko if you think things should have stayed the same.
And if everything were still segregated, at the very least, football would totally suck. Most of the music you've grooved on all of your life, would never have been made.
(the fact that it's given a marginalized segment of the population a chance to progress and flousish is of course the least concern to teabaggers)
So, just compare the two.
I see many parallels.

I really want to see more Americans get quality medical coverage. I want to see our medical care improved. Short term, this bill will help some people. Long term, the whole system will become more inefficient, opaque, bureaucratic and ineffective.

This is a case where people wanted a political victory and really had no desire to think about the details. This was more about saying, "We showed Sarah Palin and George Bush" and less about about "We helped our neighbor."

If this were a good bill, I think doctors, lobbyists, insurance companies and big pharma would be making a bigger fuss. Frankly, without their sacrifice, things won't improve.

I hope I'm wrong, but I fear this will have more effect on my gold portfolio than people's health.

Having the government FORCE everyone to buy a service from them is a very dangerous precedent.

And what exactly are we being forced to buy? Does anyone really know the details of this bill other than the high & mighty rhetoric?

Why weren't there clear examples using real people laying out the new process showing time/money improvements in the new system?

Why wasn't there a beta test of the new system?

We are between a rock and a hard place. Letting insurance corporations whose bottom line is only profit dictate people's health care ends up with decisions that are devoid of human compassion and caring and are downright criminal.

On the other hand we have a half-asssed poorly understand government run insurance program that will be jammed down our throats and whose true costs were purposely low-balled to "make the sale".

We are screwed either way. Eat healthy, exercise, and try to stay out of "the system" as much as you can.

To the Anon who asked WTF? to my post concerning Jefferson's proto-socialism vs. Hamilton's proto-capitalism and their effects on the 20th and the new 21st Centuries.

While an exhaustive reference is beyond the scope of this forum, just a little reading of Jefferson's history and/or Hamilton's history (particularly their vicious feud while Hamilton was the first Secretary of the Treasury and originator of the proto-Federal Reserve known as the First Bank of the United States, our first central bank)will certainly change your "WTF?" to "OH F**K, we were screwed from the beginning!".

The problem the world has had since the beginning of time is not with any "ISM" such as Social"ISM" or Capital"ISM" or Commun"ISM". It is with the Ur-ISM (Ur meaning the first) which is Elit"ISM" which leads ultimately to Utopian"ISM". All our "ISMs" ultimately start with some elitist's vision of a human constructed heaven on earth...an utopia. And since man is corrupt all uoptian visions from Nimrod of ancient Babylonia, to Plato, to the Caesar's, to the Kings and Queens of Europe, to Jefferson and Hamilton (and the Founding Fathers) to Marx, to Hitler, and the combined forces of the Global Green and Socialist movements to the Global Capitalist movements have come or will come to utter ruin.

Of course once these systems collapse new ones will be dreamed up and will be foistered upong the populace. Just like The Matrix, human saviors will arise to foolishly lead the foolish into believing that "THIS TIME IT IS DIFFERENT, WE CAN BE FREE!" But we are all cocooned in a Matrix of our own corruption which will lead to all utopian dreams of human saviors to ruin.

Thus it is with Jefferson's dream of an libertarian, agrarian paradise where collections of farmers and farms helped each other out and there was freedom from what he saw as the biggest threat of all to his utopian dream which was high finance and bankers, particularly Central Banks. Obviously he didn't care too much for a competing elitist's utopian dream, namely Hamilton, whose vision of utopia was an America made into a strong, world conquering Empire bankrolled by High Finance, a surging Capitalism, Central Banks and standing Army for the perpetuation and protection of Empire.

Now....prove to me that both of these visions of Utopia have not been "Idolized" vis a vis my "idolized" bullshit comment. Turn on any radio show, any CNN or FoxNews or MSNBC or CNBC broadcast and it is hours upon endless hours of Capitalism vs Socialism, Democrats vs Republicans, Obama the Communist vs The American People the Tea Partiers......etc. after nauseating etc.

And what is this debate getting us? Bread and circuses. We are being burned in the middle of a candle that burns at both ends. The creeping Doom of an American Socialist movement which started in the late 19th Century and draws its love of the agrarian, the worker, its hatred of Capitalism and the Banking System from Jefferson is meeting in the middle of the candle and us with the Creeping Doom of a soul-crushing, Neo-Feudal, wage and labor arbitrage Capitalism which has destroyed our once bountiful manufacturing base, our one income homes, our once strong currency (particularly when it was backed in gold), our family farms and indeed our very families themselves and has left us with a multitude of zombies who shuffle every day from underwater and/or foreclosed homes for their daily dose of Chinese made shit in a even greater multitude of Wal-Marts, Targets and K-Marts.

Keith, the originator of this blog, is just another sad soul who blindly follows one of these bankrupt utopian visions. He rightly ridicules you of the Conservative, Republican, Libertarian, Capitalist bent.

But he does so as a foolish, ignorant hypocrite.
