Barney Frank and the Democrats, corrupted by Fannie and Freddie bribes, did nothing. And now the world pays the price.

And check out the classic Barney vs. Billo tape too

How in the world did barney frank get in office. He sounds like a bumbleing drunk. He is about as clueless as they come.

Didn't he get his unqualified lover, (now an ex I believe), a megabucks job over at Fannie and Freddie? Have they ever thanked us?

It's kinda tough to regulate the financial industry, and specifically, Fannie Mae when you're chugging cock. But surely choking down some schlong didn't cause all this. Just who was Congressman Frank blowing though? None other than an executive in the employ of the "fundamentally sound" entity Fannie Mae.

THEY ARE ALL MONKEYS, NOT JUST DEMOCRATS!

I would expect a hit piece from Fox News (Faux News) but there is plenty of culpability to go around on both sides of the political aisle.

Where where the incompetent REPUBLICAN ran congress???

Frank seeks $10b for affordable housing
US Representative Barney Frank said yesterday he wants the government to spend $10 billion to jump-start the stalled development of affordable rental housing nationwide, including 31 projects in Massachusetts that can't move forward because of a lack of funds.

Wait a second, I just threw up in my mouth a bit. Ok, F**K affordable housing. If you can't afford the price, live with your family.

that's a typical Fox smear job since Bush told state regulators not to enforce lending standards so we got what we got, another Katrina.

it's a good propaganda piece, for sure! especially since we all know that republicans like regulations...

Guilty ! Hang 'em.

if you don't like Barney, then you are obviously a homophobic right-wing conservative regressive redneck.

or just an average taxpaying shlub like me.

We can complain about Barney, Dodd, Shumer, Bush, Cheney, most Republican congressmen/women, housing bubbles,
govt incompetence and corruption, but until the Campaign finance laws undergo radical revision, nothing will change; Lobbyists will keep running the ship.

How can one be so stupid to vote those Dems into office plus start doing it AGAIN with the so called trillion $$ spending bill coming to you roads and bridges soon.
Want to get rich start a business organizing work visas and temp. housing for third world country guest workers. Happy new year to us all.

Wasn't Barney shagging one of the top dudes at Fannie Mae management? He sure does love Fannie. The American kind, not the British.

Two very insightful Op Ed pieces by Michael Lewis and David Einhorn on what went wrong and policy in today's NYT. These are "on the money":

End of the Financial World As We Know It is linked to How To Fix a Broken Financial World. I sure hope this trickles up to Obama.

I’ll bet if Israel would create a Gaza like environment with an intolerant single religious militant environment, she would gain the respect of the ‘peace activist’.

C'mon Keith, you know you can't believe anything on Fox News. Didn't Keith Olberman and MSNBC teach you anything!?

Anyone see Bill O'Reilly pounding Barney's testicles with a rolling pin back in November.

Then I was disappointed to see Jon Stewart use that clip (with no explanation) of an angry O'Reilly thrashing old Barn.

Oh well, the sheep need their oats.

Some of the people who are going to really "lose-it" in 2009 will be the Frank's and Pelosi's - these people are very scared as well, and they also have tied up alot of their (well I guess really ours) devaluating money in this mess as well.

I'ts funny to see O'Reilly so heated up now - wasn't he a staunch Bush Co. supporter just a little while back?

The problem is so out of control now that even the power elites are fleeing this sinking ship like rats.

Problem is, the entire world is suffering.

No where to run, no where to hide.

Those who thought the last 8-years were so wondersul because their pocket books were getting lined can now wittness, in real-time, the devestation unfolding across our globe because a relatively few people decided it's in their best interest to make money by stealing it from those who work honestly.

how typical. BO didn't "weigh in" on that bill.

Present? Yes We Can!

Yet another thing bush will be blamed for. Causing the economic collapse because of his fear mongering about fannie and freddie. if only he hadn't said anything then the economy would be OK.....

Anonymous said...

problem is, people like Barney think they are experts on subjects because of the position they are in. He doesn't even know enough about economics to know that he doesn't know diddly. I bet he couldn't even balance a checkbook as a "pop quiz".

Barney will apologize for all the damage he's caused when Keith apologizes to us S&A'ers for abandoning us.

Damned Barney Frank and the democrats, running America into the ground. Where were those stalwart and righteous Republicans while all this was going on?

Anonymous said...

i read somewhere he is gay and that his gay live-in lover was busted for running a prostitute ring out of Frank's house, Frank, of course, denied he knew that it was going on in his house.

I remember hearing someone say the Fed and Treasury are attempting to make recessions illegal. No downturn at any cost.

Barney Frank is a communist sent here to destroy us.

We need all Fannie and Freddie lobbyists out of Washington. While we're kicking FanFred out, why not kick the whole corrupt lot of them out?

And while we're at that, why not send Barney and 80% of congress to jail?

And then, right on schedule after the holidays spending season, gas prices are being jacked up, once again:

http://tinyurl.com/6t2y37

Ever feel like the energy markets play the U.S. consumer like a violin? Prices are conveniently collapsed to promote consumption during the holidays. Now, just a few days after they go back up again.

They dont even seem to justify it anymore by floating out in the MSM the "demand" stories anymore to explain the price increases.

They kept Burris out of the Senate. I thought the Dems might actually respect the much loved yet oft ignored "Rule of Law." I guess the Repubs get that one back after ignoring said Rule for all these years.

Barney Frank is in the top 10 list of worst Americans. Vote this freak out, so he can hang out with his boy-toys in West Hollywood, while we pay for his pension.

Has anyone heard of Ivy Zelman? She's the only bear market real estate analyst I've heard therefore the only one that makes sense.

Great choice of video. :-) It should be posted everywhere. Unfortunately the likes of NYT aren't listening.

Where is outrage over responsibility for the recession now that facts are clear in the rearview mirror?

It was evident then, it is even more evident now. Yet no feet are being held to the fire. Can we assume Madoff arrived just in time to take the brunt of it, deflecting all attention from where it should be focussed?

Soot, keep on blogging.

Dateline: Florida

I heard that there are 9000 houses that will go into foreclosure in 2009 as a result of something called a 3/27 loan.

Apparently it was a fixed rate loan at a very low rate for three years and this year it resets and becomes a variable rate loan. These are houses that were sold in 2006.

This is not the bottom of the market yet.

Meantime, houses are cheap!

Examples:
Brand New Villa Homes with 2 Car Garage Foreclosure pricing from $69,900!

For Sale: $75,500
Bed(s): 3
Bath(s): 2
Type: Single Family Home
Sq/Ft: 1,688
MLS Number:
200811186
Age (years):3

Tyrone, you hit the nail right on the head. America is still firmly entrenched in DENIAL. Until we wake up and recognize that government mandating banks give loans to losers, we are heading further into the abyss. EVERYTHING the government does to make housing "more affordable" simply makes it more unaffordable. We need a revolution.
