KyrgyzstanPANIC

Man, I wish they knew how to do this in China.

Or Iran.

Or in America back in 2003.

Seriously, in the past couple of years, I'm surprised this hasn't happened more. Greece, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Russia, China, Thailand, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Dubai, Mexico, America - all the housing bubble countries, especially the ones with corrupt governments, should have went up like a tinderbox.

Money bombs and police states can only hold back the tide so long.

The reason that this is different than say a protest in China is the people are armed there. This must be the reason for the 2nd amendment. The power is with the people, not the other way around.

Oh, man, could you imagine if the Chinese were armed?

Oh, yes, that would be good.

Wow!
That was intense! Was that guy beheaded there at around 1:20 in the clip? Anyway, the US has had their own version of this, but its only performed in the past by those in our society that have always been denied their rights and freedoms (L.A. 1992 anyone?). When they done it, the priviledged elites (whites) look down their nose and accuse them of savagery and being barbaric. I guess only when such violent outbreaks are done by white people are such actions 'approved'...

I'll direct you to the sardonic humor of Mr. Ambrose Bierce: "Revolution, n. In politics, an abrupt change in the form of misgovernment."

Nothing to see here folks. These racist, ignorant, white, hick, redneck, backward, tea baggers are obviously insane.

Coming to a country near you...

Watch this happen in the US if Soetoro implements carbon taxes, a VAT, and amnesty for illegals.

Soetoro wants this to happen. He's provoking it. When it happens, he'll pull a Tienanmen Square stunt and declare martial law.

I've seen footage on MSNBC. Prominent play in the New York Times. I could watch the network news broadcasts from the Seattle stations, but they just seem like so much corporate garbage to me. I'd rather watch the slighly-less-garbagey cable news channels.

As for being armed, maybe I missed something, bit I didn't see any of the protesters shooting weapons. When you start firing at police, it gives them an excuse to ratchet up the violence exponentially. And it will put 50% of the population on the police's side, ao you hurt your cause. Rocks, wooden poles, masses of people acting in unison, burning police shit up -- that's more effective at keeping the moral force on your side, and swaying your society, than shooting like you were the fucking oppressor.

Could this happen in America? Only when things get so bad that a critical mass of people care so little about their lives that they don't care whether or not they die. I reckon the chance is 20%. High enough odds that I'm staying away. I like my life enough that I don't want to lose it.

Final thought -- what would that scene have looked like if the Kyrgyz government had helicopters that could rain death from above like the U.S. military did to those Reuters photogs (and countless Muslim wedding parties)? That's what will happen if rioting ever comes to the U.S. And the 25% of the population that likes Sarah Palin will cheer.

All I can say about (my fellow) whites is that:

1: They didn't do shit when 1 million Mexicans marched through LA in favor of illegal immigration

2: They love their welfare jobs, just not when blacks have them

3: They didn't do shit when Obama implemented free health care.

Conclusion? They aren't ever going to do shit about their decline.

the american media is not really covering this because they are worried that this would look bad for obama's foreign policy. He is the one who is destined to bring peace upon the world by apologizing for america's past mistakes

oh keith, please, the lame stream media (not counting fox in that) reporting on this?

abcnews leads with jon and kate along with jim carrey and whats her face (the playboy bunny who cured her son of some disease) splitting.

i am sure they will cover how obama's ncaa tournament choices went.

fox may be a little right of center (they seem more right because all the other msm is way way way way left) but they are the only outlet where you might find such reporting.

Hey Keith, when are you going to add Canada to that list of bubble countries? In Vancouver the average two-story house is now over $900K, and the average income for Canucks is less than $50K.

===================================
Ain't that the truth. I get front pages from all the major newspapers in North America emailed to me every morning filtered with the keywords "housing bubble."

Canada is going thru the roof, housing wise, and virtually ALL the government bigwigs up there are in total denial with a capital "D!" offering all the same, tired, lame excuses as to why "There's no bubble here!" that we heard so many times down here during the U.S. run-up.

Its So Cal all over again, except its probably cooler.

I'm just waiting for the Canadian Dept of Housing's joint chief's (Bob and Doug McKenzie's) new book "We're from Canada 'A', No Bubble Here" to hit the NYT best seller list. Move over David L, they learned from the best!

Dammit Keith, you killed HP way too soon!

HAHAHAHA!!!

So, you want the Chinese and the Iranians to have guns, but rail against Americans that defend their natural and 2nd amendment rights to keep and bear arms?

Right.

Roger that on the Canada housing bubble.

In the free weekly shopper that comes to the house each week, they have a tabloid-sized real estate insert. After reading Mish and Keith etc. for a few years, I always skim these things to see what the RE zeitgeist is. They're just SOOOO excited in Vancouver with the year-on-year sales price rises. The words "bubble" or "price to income ratio" are never seen.

I also scan a few prices each week to see how ludicrous they can get. This week's pick -- a 1,800-sq. ft. "starter home" (looked like a rectangular barn with a cedar shingle roof)in Point Grey (land's end neighbourhood near a big provincial university -- pretty area, but 10 K away from the city centre and cold/windy) for the fantastic price of $1,698,000. Ugly starter home -- $1.7 mill. And now that the loonie is at parity with the U.S. clownbuck, that's REAL money these Canucks are talking about.

America in 2003 but not now?

No question now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
